The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 2304: I Didn’t Expect Q to Be So Young

Instead, she focused her energy on finding out Martin’s schedule, asking Willy Kingsley to follow Martin’s itinerary, hoping to meet Martin.

Nathan Garland had not received a phone call from Martin for two days, recalling Martin’s polite expression on the phone earlier about making time to meet with them.

After much hesitation, he chose to proactively call Martin.

Martin answered quite quickly.

Nathan Garland heard the voice of the middle-aged man on the other end, immediately perking up and walking outside, cautiously saying: "Hello, Mr. Martin. I am Nathan Garland from The First Research Institute. We scheduled a meeting before, do you remember?"

On the Cloud Hotel.

Martin was not alone in his suite; there were visiting guests. He listened to Nathan Garland introduce himself and paused, took a long time to recall who ’Nathan Garland’ was.

Out of consideration for Nicholas Fuller’s face, he was rather polite: "I remember. Is there something you need?"

Nathan Garland placed all his bets on Zevaney Kingsley, and was willing to offend Nicholas Fuller and Orson Saban for Zevaney, so he naturally fought for Zevaney’s future with all his might.

Hence, he shamelessly said: "I previously mentioned a student to you, when would be convenient for you to meet her?"

Martin frowned, as if remembering something, and asked: "What’s the name of the student you mentioned?"

Nathan Garland immediately replied: "Zevaney Kingsley."

"She is the Kingsleys Family’s most gifted new generation with some strength, so I audaciously wish to bring her to visit you, if it’s convenient."

Nathan Garland specially brought up ’Kingsleys Family,’ undoubtedly adding a touch of gold to Zevaney Kingsley, raising her standing.

Martin, however, after a prolonged silence, directed his gaze at the visiting guests, finally saying: "I heard that the semiconductor light source technology she recently published in SCI was stolen from someone else’s achievements..."

Nathan Garland’s heart sank: "Mr. Martin, this must be a misunderstanding, right? No one has ever published related research results on semiconductor light source technology, even if there is a similar achievement, it should be a ’coincidence,’ not to the extent of serious theft."

"Really?"

Nathan Garland heard the pounding sound of his heart, solemnly and reassuringly said: "Mr. Martin, I guarantee with the reputation of The First Research Institute that there must be a misunderstanding here. Or it might be a ’coincidence’."

Nathalie Quinlan was sitting on the suite sofa drinking coffee, her slender fingers caressed the cup, a few strands of black hair draped over her brow bone, her face white and appearing quite leisurely.

Martin immediately noticed her stubbornness.

He didn’t listen to Nathan Garland’s explanation, only lightly asked him: "Then tell me, what kind of coincidence would allow her to ’coincidentally’ publish research results that others haven’t published in twenty years?"

Nathan Garland was thunderstruck, completely not expecting Martin to know that Zevaney Kingsley had been publishing all of Lynette Kingsley’s research results from 20 years ago in the past month.

He was momentarily speechless.

Martin patiently said to him: "Let her find a reasonable reason to explain it to me, if she can clarify, then I will meet her."

"If not, I’m sorry, I don’t have time to meet her."

This was tantamount to a complete rejection.

Martin did not give Nathan Garland any chance to explain, hanging up the phone.

He returned to the living room, put down the phone, and looked at the girl sitting on the sofa, speaking in a somewhat surprised tone: "I didn’t expect Q to be so young..."
