Eloran Alchemists’ as well as all the banks that had been targeted by the combined ire of the people had tried their best to prove their innocence, but rumours... once the fire had been spread, it couldn’t be stopped no matter how much the guild tried.

Many among the public had now stopped doing business with Syma’s rival guilds and banks... and those who were already in some contract or the other with the rival businesses of Syma had reduced the frequency of their operations.

Syma had continued its charity programme even after suffering devastating losses, which had triggered a flood of goodwill from a majority of the masses.

But the support that everyone had begun to offer Syma wasn’t only because of the goodwill that Syma had earned across the world.

The support was also due to the fact that the majority amongst the masses, including the various trading houses and merchants across Jutan, had been dissatisfied with the way that the top businesses in Jutan always worked.

The topmost businesses had always used their monopoly over certain segments in the market to amplify their already existing gains, which were monstrous compared to the average businesses in the world.

But having no other substitutes to rely on, the entire economy of the world had to willingly or unwillingly depend on guilds like the Eloran Alchemists’ as well as the banks commonly known as the Big Three.

At least that was how the economic world had suffered till date, but everything had changed after the sudden arrival of Syma... which had quickly grown in its size to become a behemoth of the business world.

Syma’s entry into the economic world was like a wild card that had destabilised and turned the entire hierarchy of the business world upside down in a successful attempt to become one of the major economic powers... and had also become something that was now considered unrivalled— as Syma was equally dominant in Alchemy as well as the banking sector... with both the businesses being the core of the world’s economy.

So as to salvage the situation in any way possible, the entire leadership of the Eloran Alchemists’ had devised a number of plans in order to gain back control over the market, but—

Xavier Elor had different thoughts about it.

When Irtuk had mentioned about forming a cooperative relationship with Syma, everyone had rejected his claims, but after the meeting had ended, it was Xavier who had ordered Irtuk to lead the cooperation agreement between the two guilds.

Now, though Xavier had said it in reference to the possibility of there being a failure in the plans that were being made by the guild at that given point in time to cooperate with the Big Three amongst the banks and financially weaken Syma... the order still held.

That was why Irtuk was here on behalf of the guild so as to forge an agreement of cooperation with Syma Alchemists’.
