Train Survival: I Can Evolve Everything!
Chapter 51: Departing the Eighth Station, Shaya's Bitter SmileAlthough his mental energy dropping to zero wouldn't cause problems, it had never actually reached that point before.
Ye Qiyan wasn't about to recklessly experiment without certainty.
But he could still test his other abilities.
The anchor point could be set once per day.
The first one would undoubtedly be placed inside the train.
Right in front of the operating system's main body at the locomotive.
"Setting an anchor consumes fifty mental energy points? Not bad, that's manageable."
After setting it, Ye Qiyan ran outside and took out the Blasphemy Card, silently reciting in his heart:
"Voyage."
Ye Qiyan felt his body grow heavy.
As if submerged in the abyssal darkness of an endless sea.
Whispers swirled around his ears.
But the sensation lasted only an instant.
When he opened his eyes, he was already back in the locomotive, though the small figure on the Blasphemy Card had turned gray.
"One hour cooldown? Not too bad."
Ding-ding—
The train's system interface suddenly appeared beside him.
On the private chat screen, a message box with a blonde avatar popped up.
"Shaya? Why's she contacting me now? Could she already know about the Blasphemy Card being synthesized? That's impossibly fast."
Puzzled, Ye Qiyan opened the chat.
["Hey? You've already found the third Blasphemy Card fragment and synthesized it?"]
She really did know. Ye Qiyan felt speechless.
He'd originally planned to keep this secret from everyone. He'd underestimated Shaya—she must have left some tracking method on the fragment she gave him.
Realizing this, Ye Qiyan saw no point in hiding it.
["Just synthesized it. How did you know, Shaya-jie?"]
["O_o?"]
["What's wrong? Is there a problem?"]
["No problem. Of course I have my methods. Don't underestimate your senior. You've got much to learn."]
Though she said this...
Shaya's heart was currently a turmoil of mixed emotions.
She'd only contacted Ye Qiyan because someone informed her a new Blasphemy Card had appeared.
No one knew where it had manifested or who obtained it. Shaya had just suddenly thought of Ye Qiyan and casually asked.
Never had she expected...
"It's really him... sigh..."
"'Blasphemy Cards only belong to those they deem worthy'—so this is what it meant."
"It took me years to find one-third of a fragment, and that fragment got me sealed away for fifteen years."
"And yet in the end... hah..."
A bitter smile flashed across her face. Composing herself, she continued typing:
["About your Blasphemy Card... nevermind, I won't ask. Even if I did, you wouldn't tell me, right?"]
Ye Qiyan chuckled but didn't respond.
["Keep that card safe. Don't let others discover it, avoid using it in front of people, and never give it away. Don't worry—only you and I know about this. That's all. I'm busy."]
A playful tongue-sticking emoji followed before Shaya closed the system interface and slumped into her seat, gazing up at the white light filtering through the cathedral's ceiling.
"Oh God... why wasn't I the one worthy to blaspheme You?"
————
The conversation ended.
The fiery excitement in Ye Qiyan's heart over obtaining the Blasphemy Card gradually cooled.
Shaya's appearance reminded him.
This world wasn't just populated by their group of survivors.
Countless others existed before them.
Their power, resources, and talents were all things he currently couldn't hope to match.
He couldn't afford to get carried away.
Considering this, Ye Qiyan wanted to store the Blasphemy Card in the safe box.
But then he realized keeping it there would make it inaccessible—rendering it useless.
"If only safe box items could be accessed externally like the special storage unit..."
Suddenly, a brilliant idea struck him.
"The safe box is an item too, right? Could I store it inside the storage unit?"
The moment this thought emerged, he eagerly carried the safe box to the storage car for testing.
"Place... holy shit! It actually works!"
The safe box successfully entered the special storage unit.
Further testing confirmed he could freely access its contents from outside.
Effectively granting him four additional external-access storage slots.
"Haha, I'm a genius."
Today's gains were plentiful. Ye Qiyan emptied the safe box except for one train car, dedicating the remaining three slots to the Blasphemy Card and the sublimated [Blessed Virus Serum] obtained from Doomsday Town.
The final slot was reserved for the [Pure Cleansing Stone].
Now he could freely access seven items externally:
Blessed White Forest Fruit, Bullets (Tier 3), Virus Serum, one train car, Pure Cleansing Stone, the Blasphemy Card, and the safe box itself.
Undoubtedly, these would prove invaluable during external emergencies.

[3:00:00]
Three hours remained until final departure.
Ye Qiyan's VIP Early Departure Privilege turned from gray to green.
"Time to go."
Selecting the departure option, the familiar spatial rift reappeared ahead as tracks extended forward. The train's roar echoed across the wilderness.
As acceleration began, the emerald plains outside the windows transformed back into endless wastelands.
[20:00:00]
The train's broadcast sounded:
[All conductors have left the eighth station. Extreme weather approaches tomorrow. Wasteland creatures adapted to these conditions will pursue trains]
[Trains below 50km/h will enter danger status]
[Prepare defenses and upgrade promptly.]
Though brief, this announcement drew lamentations from many.
[9641/10000]
["Seriously? The speed requirement increased again so soon?"]
["50km/h? Meaning we either upgrade to Tier 3 or at least enhance the wheels?"]
["Tch, knew this was coming. Even starving, I hoarded materials. Not enough for Tier 3, but wheel upgrades are easy."]
["This speed isn't unreasonable. The progression's been consistent. Stop slandering Broadcast-sis. If you can't upgrade, examine your own resource management across stations."]
["Was saving resources for Train Coins... guess I'll upgrade early..."]
