Train Survival: I Can Evolve Everything!

Chapter 50: [Blasphemy Card·VII·Anchor]

[Giant Skeletons×13, Dream Crystals×5, Flesh Chunks×13]

These were the final harvest. If only the Processing Station's recycling speed were faster, perhaps all the corpses could have been collected before the giants transformed back into windmills.

But the Processing Station is integrated with the train, so upgrading it would require upgrading the entire train.

The remaining corpses had already reverted to windmill forms, which Ye Qiyan didn't waste either, recycling them into wood materials.

The biggest haul this time was the giant flesh chunks, though Ye Qiyan had no intention of eating such things. The meat of humanoid monsters was disgusting just to think about.

But just because he wouldn't eat it didn't mean others wouldn't.

The 13 portions of giant flesh amounted to 130 jin in weight.

He listed all 5 trading slots, pricing each portion at one Train Coin.

This was an extremely low price for survivors who hadn't tasted meat in ages.

["Someone's selling meat on the Trading Platform! 10 jin for just one Train Coin! Damn it, I just spent one coin yesterday for 1 jin of chicken! So pissed!"]

["For real? Holy shit, it's true! I haven't had meat in forever. Gotta buy 10 jin to grill. Got one coin from the last trading station anyway, hehe."]

["Don't buy it! Can't you see it says it's giant meat? You'd actually eat humanoid monster flesh?"]

["Exactly! Are you even human? Disgusting."]

["So what? Giants aren't people. I'm so meat-starved I'd eat anything - hell, if I were desperate enough, I'd eat people too! Keep barking and I'll kill you all at the next Public Trading Station!"]

["Dude upstairs, is your Sanity super low?"]

["Still got 33 points left, why? Eating your rice or something?"]

["Confirmed, guy above is losing it."]

The meat on the Trading Platform sold out quickly.

After all, these ten thousand survivors had all cleared the seventh station. Their trains were at least Level 2, and most had some Train Coins to spare.

Plus, Ye Qiyan's price was the absolute lowest on the market - they didn't care if it was giant meat, they bought first and asked questions later.

Ye Qiyan restocked the listings, which sold out again immediately. In this short time, he'd earned 10 Train Coins. He kept the remaining 3 portions unsold, figuring they might be useful later.

From the chatter, he noticed something else too.

For others, once Sanity dropped, it was hard to recover. Below a certain threshold, they'd gradually descend into madness - what they called [Mental Exhaustion], [Self-Doubt], and [Loss of Reason].

But him?

He'd used Sublimation countless times, with his Sanity dropping below 20 points at its lowest, yet he felt nothing. Moreover, his recovery rate was remarkably fast.

The chat clearly showed how difficult Sanity recovery was for others, yet his Sanity regenerated faster than his stamina.

"Could I have some special ability even I don't know about? One the train system can't detect?"

Ye Qiyan scratched his head, then stopped overthinking it. The cart would find its way when it reached the mountain - no point worrying about what he couldn't understand.

After resting briefly, he returned to work.

Don't forget where Don Quixote fought the giants.

This was a wheat field, full of ripe grain.

He transplanted some intact stalks to the cultivation carriage, and harvested as much of the rest as possible.

Docking Countdown [3:41:08]

With 41 minutes remaining until departure, while harvesting wheat, Ye Qiyan found WALL-E under a windmill wreck - the robot that never returned.

"...You were trapped under here this whole time? No wonder you took so long."

WALL-E waved its mechanical arm, its treads rolling as it moved persistently in one direction.

"The treasure chest is there?"

Ye Qiyan followed to the wheat field's center, near another windmill ruin - the spot where the last giant disappeared and Don Quixote made his first charge.

"Under here?"

Moving rubble aside, he uncovered a dark golden fragment.

"This thing... looks familiar. Wait a minute?"

"??"

Ye Qiyan could hardly believe his eyes.

Buried beneath the ruins was one third of the Blasphemy Card.

"No way? Completed just like that? Am I dreaming?"

He'd thought finding the final piece would take ages - after all, Shaya had been sealed for fifteen years just for her fragment. By all reasoning, this should have been an extremely rare and precious artifact.

Yet here he was, finding the last piece at the eighth station.

Picking up the fragment, Ye Qiyan pondered.

Should he combine them?

What would happen after combination?

Would there be danger?

His hesitation lasted only a moment before he dismissed all concerns.

"Why hesitate? What kind of person would have all three and not combine them?"

Retrieving the other two fragments from the safe box, he assembled the three pieces. They fit together seamlessly, as if never separated.

Dark golden light streamed from the Blasphemy Card, transforming into endless radiance that enveloped the entire world.

The card floated mid-air as faint whispers suddenly sounded by Ye Qiyan's ear.

Though incomprehensible, the voices grew louder and sharper, like a hundred sopranos screaming, singing, proclaiming something?

Covering his ears did nothing. The unbearable noise made Ye Qiyan draw his gun, ready to shoot the damned card when - silence.

The light faded, the dark golden card falling into his palm.

"Fucking terrifying. This thing really is bad news... I'll just check its effects, then maybe toss it."

Despite his words, his eyes shone with anticipation as he examined the Blasphemy Card.

[Blasphemy Card·VII·Anchor]

[Drop Anchor: Consume Sanity to set anchor points (max 3). Cooldown: 1 day]

[Voyage: Consume Sanity to teleport to an anchor point]

[Banish: Remove all anchors to forcibly exile enemies to the wilderness]

[Return: Consume all Sanity???]

"Gulp—"

The interface's description made Ye Qiyan swallow hard.

Powerful. Undeniably powerful.

If the description held true, he could drop an anchor at any station, then teleport back from anywhere.

Moreover, it could banish enemies - though this would consume all anchors, preventing further teleportation. Still, against inescapable danger, this was undoubtedly a trump card.

And then...

The final ability.

"What happens... when all Sanity is consumed?"
