Transmigrated As A Stepdad In A Fantasy Doujin World
Chapter 5. The DungeonChapter 5: 5. The Dungeon
The portal light faded.
Kael stood on cold uneven stone.
The air was heavy and damp. Water dripped steadily from the upper walls of the cave forming small dark pools on the floor.
No other sound existed. No distant growls. No shifting of monsters. Only the slow endless drop of water.
The Crimson Path team spread out in a loose formation. The full orc took the front.
The short swordsman stood slightly behind him scanning every shadow. Brianna the hybrid orc mage held her staff ready.
Tina the dark elf already had an arrow nocked though she kept the bow lowered.
Torches on the walls burned with weak blue flame casting long shadows across the cavern. The ceiling rose high enough that the top disappeared into darkness.
Narrow tunnels branched off in three directions.
The short swordsman spoke first. His voice was calm and analytical.
"Too quiet. This is listed as a D-rank dungeon. There should be patrols of lesser monsters near the entrance. Nothing is moving."
He crouched and touched the wet stone with two fingers.
"No recent tracks. Mana density is normal for D-rank but the atmosphere is wrong."
Dungeon ranks followed a clear scale based on lethality.
F-rank was the weakest. Then E. D. C. B. A. S. SS. SSS. And finally EX-rank the kind of place that could birth a Calamity Devil if left alone too long.
A D-rank dungeon should never feel this empty.
Brianna frowned. Small tusks caught the blue light.
"Maybe the last team cleared the front already?"
"Unlikely," the short swordsman replied.
"The guild would have updated the status. Something is off."
The full orc cracked his knuckles.
"Then we move careful. I take point. Brianna stay behind me. Tina cover the sides. Porter keep the packs tight and stay in the middle."
Kael adjusted the heavy load on his shoulders. The lean muscle of his warrior-class body handled the weight without complaint.
His new Pheromone Skill continued its quiet work in the damp air.
Tina’s crimson eyes swept the tunnels once more before she nodded.
"West path first. Narrower. Easier to defend if something comes."
They formed up and started walking. Water continued to drip from above.
Each drop echoed longer than it should have in the unnatural silence.
Kael kept his breathing steady.
’D-rank and already wrong. Either good luck or the start of something worse.’
The team moved deeper into the dungeon.
The west tunnel narrowed quickly. Blue torchlight flickered across wet stone. The full orc led with heavy steps.
The short swordsman stayed close behind him eyes sharp.
Brianna and Tina walked next their bare feet nearly silent on the damp floor. Kael followed last the heavy packs pressing against his back.
His gaze dropped.
Brianna’s light green ass swayed with every careful step.
Thick and firm the soft green cheeks flexed under the thin dark strip of cloth that barely covered anything.
The tiny fabric rode the cleft of her ass leaving the outer curves completely bare.
When she shifted her weight the cloth tugged just enough to tease the soft folds of her pussy and the tight ring of her asshole beneath it.
Tina moved with smoother grace. Her light dark skin glowed faintly under the blue light.
Long black hair brushed the small of her back. The same thin strip of cloth sat between her firm dark cheeks.
Each step made her ass sway in a slower more controlled rhythm.
The fabric clung damply to her skin outlining the soft lips of her pussy and the tight dark hole above it whenever she took a longer stride.
Kael’s cock hardened fully inside his trousers.
The lean muscle of his warrior-class body stayed steady under the packs but the pressure between his legs grew heavy and insistent.
’Both of them. Barely covered. Walking right in front of me seducing me with their asses.’
Brianna glanced back once as if sensing the weight of his stare.
Her green eyes met his for a brief second. A small tusked smile curved her lips before she faced forward again.
Tina never looked back.
She simply kept walking black hair swaying against the smooth dark skin of her back the thin cloth between her thighs shifting with every step.
The tunnel continued deeper. Water kept dripping. The unnatural silence held.
Kael adjusted the packs and followed the two nearly naked women into the dark.
He let the distance between himself and the others grow by a few extra steps.
The heavy packs forced him to move slower. His eyes stayed fixed on the swaying green and dark cheeks ahead.
Then the silence broke.
A high sharp screech tore through the tunnel from somewhere behind them.
It was wet and metallic like claws dragging across stone mixed with a creature’s scream. The sound bounced off the walls and came again louder.
Kael froze.
The rest of the team spun around at once.
The full orc raised his fists.
The short swordsman drew his blade in one smooth motion.
Brianna’s staff glowed faint green. Tina’s bow came up arrow already aimed past Kael’s shoulder into the darkness behind him.
Another screech. Closer this time.
Something was coming from the direction they had already passed.
A dark shape exploded from the shadows.
The creature launched itself through the air with terrifying speed. Its body was long and thick covered in black scales that glistened with drops of crystal-clear liquid.
Three snake-like tails whipped behind it leaving wet trails on the stone. Three black heads rose from a single thick neck.
The two outer heads were blind and snapping. The middle head held a single massive white eye with no pupil at all.
The eye stared fixed and glowing as the monster flew straight toward the group.
’Crystalscale,’ Kael thought the moment he saw it. ’E-rank. But the size and the way it moves put it closer to E-plus.’
The full orc roared and stepped forward to meet it. The short swordsman moved to the side blade ready.
Tina’s arrow left the bowstring with a sharp twang. Brianna’s staff flared brighter as green light gathered at the tip.
Kael dropped the packs and backed against the wall just as the three-headed scaled beast crashed into the middle of the formation.
The fight lasted less than ten seconds.
Tina’s first arrow struck the middle head just below the white eye. The creature jerked.
The full orc slammed both fists into the left head with a single heavy blow that cracked scales.
At the same moment the short swordsman slid under the whipping tails and drove his blade up through the soft underbelly in one clean thrust.
Brianna’s green light shot forward and wrapped around the right head freezing it in place for half a breath.
The orc finished it.
One more punch crushed the middle head. Black crystal liquid sprayed across the stone. The three tails thrashed once then went still.
The Crystalscale collapsed in a heap of broken scales and twitching limbs.
Silence returned. Only the steady drip of water remained.
Kael stared.
’That fast. No wasted movement. Perfect timing. They made an E-plus look like nothing.’
The short swordsman wiped his blade clean without expression.
"Still too quiet. That should not have been the only one."
Brianna lowered her staff. Green eyes glanced toward Kael for a brief second before she looked away.
Tina already had another arrow ready.
The full orc kicked the corpse once.
"Move. Deeper."
Kael picked up the packs again. The lean muscle in his arms and back took the weight without complaint.
His cock was still half-hard from the earlier view but the fight had cooled some of the heat.
They formed up once more and continued into the dark.
Kael closed the distance until he walked just behind Brianna’s left shoulder.
"Your team is impressive. That kill was clean. Especially you. The way you timed the binding spell with their attacks. And you look good doing it."
Brianna’s green eyes flicked toward him. A small tusked smile appeared.
"Flattery from the porter. Careful. My brother already does not like you."
Kael activated his one and only skill given by the system.
[Pheromone Skill (Lv.1) – Active]
[Subtle pheromones released. Target mental resistance: Low]
The air around Brianna thickened with the quiet invisible scent. He kept talking as if nothing had changed.
"Just saying what I saw. Most mages freeze when something jumps that fast. You did not."
Brianna’s steps slowed half a pace. Her breathing changed by a fraction. The thin dark cloth between her thick green thighs shifted as she walked.
’I need to fuck her fast to get some lust points. The sooner the better.’
Kael stayed close enough that the pheromones wrapped around her.
The full orc ahead had not noticed yet. Tina walked on the other side still focused on the tunnels.
Brianna glanced at him again. Her green eyes lingered a little longer this time.
"You talk too much for a porter," she said. The words were sharp but her voice had softened at the edges.
Kael smiled.
"Only when the view is worth it."
They kept walking deeper into the damp silence.
