Trapped in an Omegaverse Tragedy

Chapter 60: Let it not be a dream…

"We don’t have to..." Song-rik said putting his hand on top of Doha’s hand that was holding his thigh. "It’s your present after all."

Doha gazed at Song-rik in the reflection of all the lights from the fireworks as they shimmered in the waters of the ocean.

How perfect...

Song-rik looked perfect to him. There was no other way he would have him. It was as if the god of this world sat down with the clay and molded Jang Song-rik exactly as Doha would like him.

If there was indeed a god for this world where he had so abrubtly fallen into, Doha found himself praying to it to not let this be a dream.

It could not be one after this. Doha didn’t know if he could handle it being one.

This sweet delusion must continue for the rest of his life if it is one.

"You’ll be the death of me, Mr. Jang Song-rik," he said as he lept up and kissed the omega on the red spot he had personally made on his forehead.

"And I will die laughing if you are."

Doha smiled as he picked up Song-rik in his arms like a child and began walking.... towards the sea.

There he kissed him and shouted out in the sea.

"I LOVE YOU, SONG-RIK HYUNG!!!!"

Song-rik, panicking because of the sudden scream, put his hands on Doha’s mouth as he twirled around his head looking side by side.

"What if someone heard you?!" Song-rik whispered, shyly panicking.

"I don’t care, hyung!!," Doha started swirling around in the water with Song-rik in his arms as he laughed and giggled. "Not anymore!!"

Song-rik watched the always tense and serious Doha flutter into a carefree weird dance that made him look just his age. Just a young adult that was burdened too early by life’s responsibilities.

Then he paused and looked at Song-rik in the eyes.

"Won’t you shout you love me too, hyung?" He asked nuzzling his face in Song-rik’s chest like a child requesting his mother for favours.

"I... I can... but," Song-rik mumbled shyly.

"Then do it!!! Quick!!"

’I... I love you, D...Doha-ya!"

"Louder, hyung! Just like me!!"

"I love you, Doha-ya!"

"Repeat after me! I love you!!!"

"I LOVE YOU!!!! DOHA-YA!!! I LOVE YOU!!!"

Song-rik felt his chest easing us as he shouted out. He looked at Doha in excitement as he finished shouting.

But he was jolted still when he looked at his Doha’s face. He was staring at him as if he was his entire world. It felt thrilling as well as monstrous.

How can someone love me so much?

Song-rik leaned in and kissed him. Another rare moment where he initiated the kiss. Doha opened his mouth taking his chance and the kiss soon fell deeper as Doha’s hands dug inyo Song-rik’s skin trying to hold him even closer than he already was.

The noses were rubbing together, squishing the lips into untangeable shapes as they kept trying to take more and more of each other.

When the lips finally disconnected, they were breathless as well as too hot for people that standing literally in cold ocean water.

Song-rik looked hazily at Doha as chocolate scent began surrounding them.

"Wanna go back?" He asked. But the implication was clearer than ever.

Doha’s hand dug deeper into waist as his left thigh he was holding him up from.

He touched Song-rik’s face with his own as he looked at him with a slight glow in golden eyes.

"You’re not coming out of that room any time soon if we go in right now," he said, very clearly.

Song-rik turned his down on Doha’s shoulder, his face wasn’t visible anymore.

"I think I still want to go," he almost whispered as he hid his face further.

Doha didn’t wait a second longer before running out of the water with Song-rik. The sand clung onto his feet as he rushed through the beach edge to get to their hotel.

Song-rik had now covered his face with his hands as an attempt to hide from all the passerbys that were giggling as they saw them.

"Let me down, I can walk," Song-rik whispered.

"No can do, we’re not walking today. Amd I can’t have you getting tired running there," Doha gave a surpringly convincing reason to keep holding up Song-rik.

The hotel was reached and the stairs were used since Doha couldn’t bother waiting for the lift. It was so much hassle opening the room door as they had forgotten who had the room key.

They remembered and the door was opened. They went inside and the door was locked shut behind them.

Han Yohan looked at his hair in the bathroom mirror. They had gotten quite long.

"Do I look like her a little....?" He inevitably found himself comparing himself to Seo Nabi.

The image of Yeon Soohi hugging that insanely cute female omega was stuck in his head.

So was Yeon Soohi’s face as she walked right past him, ignoring him.

That too happening right after he figured out that he wanted to be with Soohi.

And even now, he didn’t really know if it was his preference influencing his feelings. Soohi’s cold demeanour was hurtful if anything.

And he found himself pathetic for being turned on by that due to his masochistic tendencies.

"If I was normal.... would it have been me in that girl’s place?" He asked himself as he looked in the mirror. His eyes were duller because of lack of sleep.

The pale green had turned a dull gooey color of no interest.

"As if!?" He mocked. "How could I ever compete with someone like her? I can’t even make up my own mind..."

But the realisation that even he was normal, Yeon Soohi might have chosen that another omega over him, was very heart wrenching.

Why can’t it be me? Why am I like this?! What should I do to become normal? How would Yeon Soohi actually like me!!!

Han Yohan questioned himself.

He then suddenly recalled the last conversation he had Yeon Soohi.

What was the last thing she said to me?

’It’s like asking the stars to disappear from the sky. How could I ever hate you? You’re right. You could never date me."

Yohan’s mind began working and he said out loud to himself.

"Surely! She still loves me, right? She said so herself that there was no way she could hate me!! Wait.... did she ignore me on purpose? Just so I would think she hates me... That means if I use this to..... I.. still have a chance..."

He paused and looked at himself in the mirror.

His face appeared distorted to him.

What the fuck am I doing? Clinging to someone I pushed away myself. Telling them to die and become alive as if they were some sort of doll. I hated it more than anything. And I’m doing exactly that now...

He looked away and opened a winter closet. He fished out a suitcase. He began filling the thing with clothes and all sorts of necessities.

It wasn’t enough. He took out another larger one.

"This is for the best..." He mumbled.

"Me leaving is for the best. For both of us."

*****

It was raining in the rose fields.

The strange Jang Song-rik... let’s call him Ikki, was staring at the rain from the window inside the funeral house.

On the altar, surrounded by lilies and white flowers, was a woman’s picture, portrayed as the deceased.

The rain never stopped in the rose fields. It was surprising how not a single rose fell apart despite the continuous rain.

It was an eerie and creepy sight to just see vast expanses of only monotonous roses, each plant identical.

And the rain, the godforsaken rain...

It did stop though. The sky would turn bright blue and massive white clouds would appear in the sky.

As if the rain never happened.

And the rain only stopped when he came there.

That blonde haired, golden eyed.... wretch of a monster.

Ikki’s eyes focused dully at something outside the window.

There he was, the faceless man, standing in the horizon of the endless rose fields.

"How much longer are you going to keep me here? You do know it’s pointless, right?" Ikki said. Maybe to the faceless man.

No response came to answer his question.

He looked away from the window and back into the altar.

The dead woman’s picture smiled back brightly at him.

"How much longer must I mourn her?"

Ikki went and sat down at the chief mourner’s position.

He then bowed and paid his respects to the deceased. Again, for 4367th time.

He then looked up at the picture, his eyes devoid of a single speck of interest.

"It’s like I’m a dog on a leash," he said as e calming stood and walked closer to the altar.

"I’m sick and tired of this face, it’s sickening to look at," he gripped the photo frame, and as his grip tightened on the frame.

He looked down in absolute rage and asked.

"₹&/-&+%@#₹, tell me, how much longer must I mourn Yoon Sarang?"
