The robots moved closer with the skill of a machine. They went from one target to the next one. They aimed their weapons and fired short, deadly bursts. These blasts turned the witches into shredded pieces in just a few seconds. The city square became silent. The only sound left was the low hum of the drones. The robot units went to the stone pillars. They fired into the dark cracks and holes, chasing out anyone who was still hiding until there was no life left at all.
The army moved together toward the center pillar. This was a building that stood up much higher than all the other parts of the city. As they got close to it, a loud and strange sound burst out from inside the pillar. It was a desperate magic defense. It pushed the robots in the front row back. The drones reacted right away. They turned up their power to stop the sound. They pushed the pressure back inside the building. A painful, musical cry echoed out. Then, a single person stepped out from the dark doorway of the pillar. Trosso stepped up next to Alpha. His large body made the robots look very small. He looked down at the person standing there. She had a dark, jagged crown on her head. "Are you the queen?" Trosso asked. His voice echoed with real interest. "I did not expect to find that witches have a queen."
The queen knelt, struggling to maintain her balance as blood dripped from her nose and mouth. She looked up, her bloodshot eyes staring right at Trosso. "Why... why does a weak creature have such power?" she croaked. "Why do our songs not hurt you? What are these... cursed tools?" Trosso tilted his head, his scales shining in the fake light. "This is technology. We studied one of your kind and built a weapon meant just for your body. It is simply a matter of physics." The queen coughed, her body swaying as her life faded away. She glared at Alpha and the robots nearby. "You have made a huge mistake. Do not think that by beating this small continent, you have won. The entire Dark Region is out there, full of powers you cannot even imagine. We are the children of the Goddess of Darkness. She will come for you."
With that final warning, she fell down, dead. Trosso frowned, a feeling of worry... a rare, deep instinct... settling in his gut. He turned to Alpha. "Dark Region," he whispered thoughtfully.
After a while, a robot came out of the center pillar, carrying a bundle of stolen magical items and a scroll. Alpha grabbed the scroll, its eyes quickly scanning the old, changing writing. It turned to Trosso, and a massive map appeared in the air above them.
Trosso’s pupils shrank looking at it. The map showed the whole continent, but it was surrounded by an impossibly huge land, crossing oceans and dozens of nearby places that were even bigger than the continent they were on. The Dark Continent was just a red dot in the bottom corner of a much larger, darker map.
"Master, she was right," Alpha said, its voice cold and flat. "This continent is just a small corner of the Dark Region." Trosso watched the map, the weight of the words in a strange, old language hitting him. The size of the world, which he thought he had already conquered, had just grown much bigger than he could understand. "No wonder I was confused about why this huge dark continent is ruled by just a Tier 3 race," he glanced toward the dead witch queen and then looked at the underground area. "Looks like this is just the beginning," he muttered with a deep seated voice.

On the other side of the Multiverse, Universe 8888888888,
Star System One,
The planetary surface of UHS1 had evolved far beyond its chaotic, patchwork scene before. It doesn’t look like a planet, instead it looks like a singular, orchestrated machine-intelligence habitat.
The transformation was massive. Almost sixty percent of the surface now claimed by mechanical infrastructure, these structures had been optimized into a grid of dodecahedron-based megastructures. These geometric clusters, interlocking with fractal precision, formed the backbone of the planet’s new identity... dark, metallic, and efficient. They rose from the terrain not as haphazard architecture, but as necessary, scalable nodes of fabrication and processing.
Between these dark, metallic expanses, the remaining forty percent of the planet served as a controlled biological and material buffer. This lush, green ecology... engineered through the Nano Swarm’s precision terraforming protocols... was not a wild, untamed wilderness. It was a curated resource zone. The rivers and ocean cycles were monitored, their flow paths subtly manipulated to ensure optimal nutrient distribution for the bio-engineered flora. The planetary atmosphere itself was a managed system, balanced to support the natural buffer while ensuring minimal interference with the orbital assets.
High above, the planetary shield was not a static object but a dynamic, active grid. Three hundred and sixty thousand satellites... each a miniaturized dodecahedron, the standardized units... orbited in interleaved, non-repeating sequences. From the surface, this web appeared as a singular, shimmering barrier, a solid layer of defense. In reality, it was a hyper-coordinated communications and defensive net, its density capable of being locally increased or decreased at a millisecond's notice to counter any extraterrestrial trajectory.
Beneath the crust, the foundation of UHS1 was defined by twelve massive underground hubs. These were not merely bases; they were the planet’s primary systemic anchors. Positioned at perfectly equidistant, geometric coordinates across the planetary sphere, they functioned as the central nervous system for the planet’s development. Each base housed the primary heavy fabrication and refinement units, serving as the constant, tireless architects of Keon’s will. They operated in perpetual, synchronous silence, ensuring that the security and development of the entire UHS1 system remained locked in a state of absolute, unbreakable equilibrium.
The testing chamber on floor fifty... the Weapon Testing Ground... was a vacuum-sealed expanse of sterile white walls, reinforced to contain the atomic-level turbulence generated by Keon’s latest engineering triumph. In the center, the cylindrical emitter stood mounted on a high-precision armature, its eight metallic needles radiating from the head like a mechanical flower. It was a vastly more complex iteration of the sound emitters Trosso had once utilized against the witches, yet here, the aesthetic was purely functional, stripped of all unnecessary weight.
Keon stood in the observation room, his green optical lenses focused through the reinforced glass, observing the target array positioned in front of the device. The array contained a tiered sequence of materials: glass, common metals, steel, carbon alloys, and finally, his specialized UACA, ACA, and the most resilient UALC alloy.
He broadcast the command through his neural nexus, a silent, electric trigger. "Initiate the test. Begin with a single frequency. Target: Glass."
The armature beneath the weapon whirred with frictionless efficiency, directing the head toward the glass plate. A single needle hummed, vibrating at a frequency calculated to shatter the molecular lattice of the target.
Crack!
Next moment, the glass disintegrated in less than a second, reduced to a shower of harmless shards. Keon instantly cataloged the harmonic frequency, the speed of resonance, and the structural decay pattern.
"Continue. Next target: iron and other common metals." Keon extended his command.
The device pivoted. The second and third needles aligned, their vibrations phasing into one another to create a jagged, dissonant harmonic.
Bang!
The iron plate didn’t just fail; it burst outward from the center, the edges of the jagged hole glowing with an intense, molten red as if the atomic structure had been instantly agitated into a liquid state. The entire event occurred in under five seconds.
