Chapter 27: Chapter 27: What Alarmed This She-Devil
The KTV’s security guards soon arrived at the scene.
A dozen or so guards, armed with clubs, quickly surrounded the brawl...
The security captain in the lead brandished his nightstick and barked at Wang Chenning, "You dare start a riot in this KTV? You looking to do jail time? All of you, on the ground! Hands on your heads, in the corner! Move, or don’t blame us for what comes next!"
While ordering Wang Chenning and his classmates to get down, he signaled for five or six guards to close in on Wang Chenning.
’Cut off the head of the snake.’ Once they took down Wang Chenning, the other students would be no threat.
"How can you do this?" Wu Weizhong had been watching from the sidelines while Wang Chenning fought and had noticed something fishy. When the thugs were bullying them earlier, the guards had been nearby, but none of them had stepped in. Now that their side had the upper hand, the guards had shown up instantly.
’The only explanation is that the guards and these thugs are in it together.’
He shouted a warning for Wang Chenning to be careful, that these guards were despicable.
But what happened next left Wu Weizhong and everyone else gaping in astonishment once again.
Before the guards could get close, Wang Chenning hoisted one of the downed thugs into the air, swung him in a full circle, and hurled him directly at the approaching security team.
Caught completely by surprise, several of the charging guards were knocked down by the flying thug.
Wang Chenning repeated the move, picking up several more thugs who were lying on the ground and using them as human projectiles to hurl at the guards.
The dozen or so guards were knocked to the ground, clutching their arms and wailing in agony.
The remaining guards were terrified and scrambled to escape.
Of course, Wang Chenning wasn’t about to let them get away. He shot forward at incredible speed.
With a single leaping front kick, he sent an armed guard flying, who then crashed into another guard, taking them both down.
He then pushed off a wall, using the momentum to kick down two more guards simultaneously.
In less than five minutes, Wang Chenning had taken down all dozen-plus security guards.
The security captain, who had been repeatedly shouting for his men to rush in and beat Wang Chenning to a pulp, was also sent flying by a single kick.
After decisively taking down every last guard, Wang Chenning finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Hands on your head! Get on the ground, or I’ll blow your brains out!" The fallen security captain struggled to his feet, furiously pulled a gun from his pocket, and aimed it at Wang Chenning. He roared, "Fucking bastard! You dare act so high and mighty in Gold KTV? I’ll show you! I’m going to fucking kill you!"
Seeing the captain pull out a real gun, Wang Chenning’s eyes narrowed. He instantly shot forward, flicked a stray phone off the floor with his foot, and kicked it straight at the captain. He then charged forward in a weaving motion.
The phone struck the captain’s hand with perfect accuracy.
CLATTER! The captain’s gun and the phone hit the floor at almost the same time.
Wang Chenning paid no mind to the captain’s reaction. He struck again instantly, stepping over several guards who were struggling to get up and sending the captain—who was just about to grab his gun—flying with another kick.
He had put most of his strength into that kick. The poor captain flew through the air and landed more than five meters away. He was in so much pain that he curled up like a boiled shrimp, unable to straighten his back for a long time.
The onlookers, seeing the conflict escalate yet again, were all scared off. No one dared to stick around and watch anymore.
"Young Master Mo, this Wang kid’s skills are insane. We’ve never seen anyone fight like that. It’s terrifying!" In the surveillance room, a burly man who had witnessed the entire brawl lowered his voice and spoke to the young master sitting beside him. "And he’s completely fearless. He must have some serious backing; his identity can’t be simple. He’s not someone we should mess with. We need to be careful!"
He truly had never seen anyone so skilled. The speed of Wang Chenning’s attacks was unbelievable, like watching a video on fast-forward. For a moment, he’d suspected the surveillance feed had frozen and then suddenly sped up.
Equally dumbfounded, Young Master Mo stood up, a look of disappointment on his face. He whispered to the burly man, "So what now? Are we just going to let him walk away?"
"Let’s hand him over to the Public Security Bureau. Let them deal with him," the burly man, known as Brother Yang, said after a moment of thought. "No matter how bold he is, he won’t dare to fight the police. You have connections there, right? Give them a call. Have them rough him up a little first. No matter how tough he is, he won’t dare to make a move in their territory, right?"
Young Master Mo nodded and immediately made the call.
After dealing with the guards, Wang Chenning took out his phone, ready to call Lu Yuanshan to handle the situation.
Just as he pulled out his phone, a call came in. He glanced at the screen—it was Luo Yuqing. He answered immediately.
"What are you up to, you brat?" Luo Yuqing’s loud voice boomed through the phone as soon as the call connected. "I messaged you and you didn’t even reply. Don’t tell me you’re busy chasing girls?"
"Just in a fight," Wang Chenning said, casually kicking a guard who was trying to get up back into the pile. He sounded completely unruffled. "A huge mob is trying to jump me. It’s even wilder than that time at dinner."
"Seriously?" Luo Yuqing sounded surprised. "Where? I’m coming to join the fun!"
Wang Chenning replied, "Gold KTV. It’s near our University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, about five hundred meters from campus."
"I’m right nearby, be there in a minute!" Luo Yuqing said before hanging up.
Just then, the shrill sound of police sirens echoed from outside, and a few officers rushed into the KTV.
Seeing that officers from the Public Security Bureau had arrived, the security captain immediately rushed over. He viciously accused Wang Chenning of brutality, claiming he had maliciously assaulted people, beaten up all the guards who had come to mediate the dispute, and even stolen his legally-issued firearm.
Hearing the thugs and guards playing the victim, Lin Jingyi and the other students were enraged. They all started talking at once, trying to explain the situation to the officers. They insisted the thugs had started the fight with malicious provocations and that they had only acted in self-defense. Furthermore, the guards had used clubs and even threatened them with a real gun.
After listening to both sides, the lead officer gave no immediate reaction. He simply signaled to his partner to retrieve the gun from the floor.
’He didn’t believe a word from either side.’
’He especially didn’t believe that Wang Chenning had taken down so many people all by himself.’
’This wasn’t some wuxia novel!’
One of the officers put on a pair of gloves, carefully picked up the gun, placed it in a plastic evidence bag, and sealed it.
"All of you are coming with us to the station," the lead officer ordered, instructing both parties to come to the Public Security Bureau for questioning before any further action was taken.
Just then, a pleasant female voice drifted over from the side. "Oh? Why’d the fighting stop? I came all this way to see the show!"
Young Master Mo and Brother Yang, who had been pretending to be bystanders, instantly recognized the speaker. The color drained from their faces.
’What could have possibly drawn the attention of that dreaded demoness?’
