Chapter 331: Chapter 331: Come Over Earlier
To make it up to his students, Wang Chenning planned to teach three classes every day for the next few days.
The students hadn’t expected Wang Chenning to compensate them at all. When they heard he would be teaching three classes a day, they were overjoyed.
During his time abroad, Wang Chenning had shocked the world. The Yandu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was naturally proud of him, posting numerous stories and photos about him on their official website. More and more faculty and students grew interested in him, and the number of students attending his lectures was enormous.
The five-hundred-seat auditorium could no longer accommodate everyone, so Wang Chenning submitted a request to Lu Yuanshan to hold his classes in a larger lecture hall.
Lu Yuanshan, of course, didn’t refuse. He readily agreed to Wang Chenning’s request and even personally handled the arrangements.
Thanks to his relationship with Wang Chenning, Lu Yuanshan’s popularity was also on the rise.
If nothing unexpected happened, the "Vice" in his title of Vice President would likely be dropped before the year was out.
Lu Yuanshan knew he had Wang Chenning to thank for this, so he paid even more attention to matters concerning his outstanding junior.
Wang Chenning was quite satisfied with Lu Yuanshan’s special attention.
However, teaching three classes in a row was still quite tiring.
It wasn’t physical exhaustion, but rather a kind of weariness from the repetition.
After class, he escaped to the cafeteria for a meal and felt much more relaxed.
Unexpectedly, while he was eating, he received a message from Lin Anning, who had initiated the contact.
Wang Chenning had, of course, considered that after last night’s act of retaliation, the targets would surely guess he was behind it.
But it was impossible for them to find any proof. Since there was no evidence, it wasn’t a complete falling-out. Even if Bai Qianxun came knocking on his door, he wouldn’t be afraid.
Lin Anning’s reaction was far calmer than he had imagined, so Wang Chenning wasn’t worried anymore.
Over the next couple of days, he would have to see her and spend time with her often, concentrating his efforts on conquering her body and soul.
Once he had completely embedded himself in her heart and mind, Wang Chenning would adopt a hot-and-cold attitude to make her come to him willingly.
Wang Chenning refused to believe that this tomboy, after getting a taste of the good stuff, would have a falling-out with him.
After what happened last night, she hadn’t made a big deal out of it, so she was even less likely to do so in the future.
Her taking the initiative this morning had already indicated how things would play out.
After lunch, Wang Chenning went to the First Affiliated Hospital for his clinic hours.
He increased the number of available appointments by half for the day and started his clinic hours earlier as well.
While holding his specialist clinic, Wang Chenning also brought along Wu Jingyi, Zhang Manxin, Lin Qingyan, and two other male disciples.
With them around, he could delegate miscellaneous tasks. Things like entering case files into the HIS system didn’t require his personal attention, which greatly increased the speed at which he could see patients.
At the same time, it also gave these disciples more opportunities to learn.
The few disciples who got the chance to observe his consultations were naturally ecstatic.
Moreover, Wang Chenning even gave them opportunities to diagnose patients themselves.
Whether it was Wu Jingyi, Lin Qingyan, or Zhang Manxin, their medical skills were already quite impressive before they became Wang Chenning’s disciples.
It was no exaggeration to say that not many of the current chief and associate chief physicians of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the hospital were more skilled than these young people.
Wang Chenning planned to propose to the hospital that they give his disciples the opportunity to hold their own clinic hours, allowing them to improve their medical skills and gain some recognition at the same time.
Wang Chenning believed that as long as they operated under the banner of being his direct disciples, they would earn the trust of many people.
From one to six in the afternoon, Wang Chenning and his disciples saw a total of twenty patients.
This was double his usual patient load, which greatly pleased both the patients and the hospital.
Furthermore, Wang Chenning proved to be even more dedicated than anyone had expected.
After a simple dinner at the hospital, he gave another lecture to the hospital’s doctors.
And he continued to give Wu Jingyi and the others a chance to shine, letting them add to some parts of the lecture.
When Lu Yuanshan and the other hospital leaders attending the lecture heard Wang Chenning mention that his young disciples all came from prestigious backgrounds and had solid fundamentals, they didn’t dare to look down on them.
After the lecture, Lu Yuanshan asked Wang Chenning if he was preparing to let these young disciples stand on their own, and Wang Chenning readily admitted it.
"Then let’s find a way to get them official titles and give them the chance to hold their own clinic hours," Lu Yuanshan immediately gave Wang Chenning a clear answer.
After some discussion, the two agreed to grant them the title of Attending Physician of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with the possibility of further promotion based on future performance.
When Wang Chenning first received the title of Chief Physician and the position of Director of the TCM Acupuncture Department, many people in the hospital were indeed dissatisfied.
But after a month, no one dared to voice any disagreement.
Especially after his return from the overseas trip, everyone practically worshiped him.
Throughout all of Huaxia, there were probably very few people who could bring the traditional medical communities of South Korea and Japan to heel.
And there was definitely no one else as young as Wang Chenning who could do it.
After dealing with these matters, Wang Chenning finally summoned Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu and asked them about their task.
After they reported on how they had carried out their orders, Wang Chenning praised them.
He told the two women to continue monitoring the movements of Bai Qianxun, Zhang Guoping, Lin Annian, and the others, and to report to him at a moment’s notice.
He would have a new mission for them in a couple of days. For now, he told them to relax and get their new living quarters settled.
Zheng Qiuhang was quite conscientious and decisive in her work. After Wang Chenning tasked her with buying property, she had it all done in a single day.
She bought a duplex near the Li Garden Hall and a large single-story apartment in another nearby residential complex for Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu to live in.
As per Wang Chenning’s instructions, both properties were transferred into her name.
Since they were pre-owned homes with recent renovations, they would be ready to move into after a thorough cleaning, some minor repairs, and the addition of new furniture.
Seeing that Wang Chenning had immediately arranged accommodations for them, Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu were both surprised and grateful.
They also now understood just how important Zheng Qiuhang was to Wang Chenning.
Zheng Qiuhang taking the large duplex for herself wasn’t just for her own sake.
She figured that Wang Chenning would be sleeping over often in the future.
She saw it as a love nest for herself and Wang Chenning.
Zheng Qiuhang had originally wanted to invite Wang Chenning to the hall to report to him in person.
If Wang Chenning was willing, she would take him to see the new home that evening and ask if he had any other requests.
But Wang Chenning didn’t have time, so she had to drop the idea.
Wang Chenning had indeed been running around nonstop these past two days.
He had to placate all the women in his life.
After handling his affairs, he sent a message to Yang Xiaofei, telling her he would be over later to help with her "treatment."
If she was willing to wait, she should stay up a little later.
"You’d better get here soon!" Yang Xiaofei sounded a little angry. "If you come too late, I’m not opening the door for you!"
"I’ll be as early as I can!" As he was replying to Yang Xiaofei, Wang Chenning was already standing outside the villa where Lin Anning lived.
This time, he didn’t subdue Lin Anning’s bodyguards. Instead, he strolled right in, bold as brass, right in front of them.
