Vampire Progenitor of the Immortal World

Chapter 63 - 52 : The Transformation (2)

Chapter 63: Chapter 52 : The Transformation (2)

The Vampire Template began integrating. The change did not happen all at once. It moved through him in layers. His body resisted. Then adapted. Resisted again. Then adapted again.

The Body Tempering foundation he had spent so long building finally revealed its true value. His body had already been repeatedly strengthened and refined. It had endured hardship. It had adapted to Blood Tempering. It had survived the pressures of cultivation. Now it was being forced to accommodate something entirely different.

The transformation continued. Ethan gritted his teeth. The sensation intensified. His awareness began to blur. He tried to maintain control. He had always relied on control to, observe, understand, calculate and adapt.

But this time, the process was occurring faster than his consciousness could follow.

The Blood Seed pulsed within him. The refined essence moved through his body. The Vampire Template spread deeper.

His vision darkened.

Ethan tried to force himself to remain conscious. He failed. His awareness began slipping away and then...

Everything stopped.

Not because Ethan had stopped it. Something else had intervened. There was no dramatic voice. No physical manifestation. No figure appearing inside the cave. Only one concise response entered the deepest part of his fading consciousness.

"Stabilizing."

The process changed. The chaotic transformation became ordered. The Blood Seed settled. The refined essence stopped surging uncontrollably. The Vampire Template continued its integration, but now every change followed a precise sequence.

Ethan could no longer observe it clearly. His consciousness sank deeper. His body entered a state beyond ordinary awareness. The process continued without him.

Time passed.

He did not know how long. Within the cave, there was no movement. The blood that had surrounded him had long since lost its original state. The Blood Seed remained at the center of the transformation. The Template continued rewriting the structure of Ethan’s body.

But this was not destruction, it was reconstruction. Everything that could remain was preserved. Everything that could be improved was altered. Everything incompatible with the emerging existence was discarded. His body was becoming something new. Then the final change began.

Qi.

The energy that had once passed through Ethan’s body during Body Tempering had never been something he could truly retain. That was the limitation of his current stage.

Body Tempering refined the vessel. It did not give him a true reservoir.

Qi passed through.

It strengthened.

It refined.

Then it dispersed.

But now something had changed. The transformed body began holding it. At first, only a trace remained. Then another. The Qi did not immediately escape.

It circulated.

It returned.

It accumulated.

For the first time, Ethan’s body did not merely endure Qi. It retained it. The transformation continued. The retained Qi became denser. The Blood Seed responded.

The two systems touched. Something clicked into place.

Ethan’s body changed again. The Qi began refining itself. Not through a manual. Not through a technique Ethan had memorized. Not through conscious instruction. His transformed body had become capable of doing what it had previously been unable to do.

Store.

Circulate.

Refine.

The threshold between Body Tempering and Qi Refining finally broke. The breakthrough arrived without thunder. Without spectacle. It was simply undeniable. The Qi within Ethan settled into a completely different state. The foundation of his existence shifted. He had crossed the boundary.

Qi Refining.

But the transformation was not yet finished. The Vampire Template continued its final integration. The Blood Seed stabilized. The refined blood essence settled into his transformed body. Then, slowly, everything became quiet.

The process ended. After some time, could have been a second, an hour or more, then Ethan opened his eyes. For several seconds, he did nothing. He simply stared into the darkness.

Then he breathed.

The breath felt different. Everything felt different. He could feel his body with an awareness that was impossible before.

His muscles.

His bones.

His blood.

The circulation of Qi.

The quiet presence of the Blood Seed. Even the space around him seemed clearer. He slowly raised one hand. His fingers moved. Perfectly controlled. He clenched his fist.

Strength gathered naturally. Not the strained strength he had once needed to summon through Body Tempering. Something deeper.

Something inherent.

Ethan lowered his hand. He looked at himself. The clothes he had prepared were disordered. The shallow pit around him was stained with the remains of the transformation. The spirit-beast blood had been completely consumed by the process.

But Ethan himself was alive.

More than alive. More like Changed. He closed his eyes and searched inward. Qi remained within him. It did not disperse. It circulated through his transformed body and settled naturally within him. His cultivation had crossed the boundary.

Qi Refining.

Ethan opened his eyes again. For a long moment, he remained silent. Then he looked toward the cave entrance. Sunlight reached through the opening, cutting a pale path across the darkness of the cave floor.

Ethan watched it quietly. The sunlight did not burn him. Nothing about his body reacted with the weakness he had once imagined vampires should possess.

He slowly stood.

His movements were smooth, controlled and different. He looked toward the sunlit entrance again. On Earth, vampires had been stories. He had read about them.

Imagined them. Argued about them. Dreamed about what it would mean to become one. Now there was no argument left to have. No novel to close. No fictional character to imagine.

Ethan stood in a cultivation world that had never known vampires. And he was the first. He lowered his gaze to his hand. Then he smiled. Not because he understood everything.

He didn’t.

There were still too many questions. His body. His blood, the Blood Seed, the Vampire Template and Qi. As well as the limits of this new existence. The weaknesses he might possess. The abilities he might eventually discover. All of them required testing.

Observation.

Experimentation.

Time.

Ethan had no intention of rushing. He had spent months building the foundation that had brought him here. He would spend as long as necessary understanding what he had become. His eyes returned to the sunlight. The shadow behind him belonged to the person he had been.

The path ahead belonged to something new.

Ethan stepped forward. The path of the human cultivator he had once followed had ended here, giving way to something the world had never known. It was the beginning of a race that had never existed before.

The first vampire.
