As Shen Daoxing and his companions walked through the hellscape.

Meanwhile, within a majestic palace atop Demon Mountain.

The skeletal, white-haired old man watched Shen Daoxing and the others in the ancient bronze mirror, slowly parting his lips into a vicious grin.

Though his body was little more than skin and bones, the old man's eyes blazed with spirit. He stared at Shen Daoxing's face in the ancient mirror, an expression of insatiable greed spreading across his own.

"Hehehehe... hehehehe... Excellent. Excellent. Come... Lord Celestial Demon is waiting for you!"

The skeletal old man spoke in a raspy voice.

Suddenly, the old man gestured toward the sky with one hand. Another ancient bronze mirror floated out and settled before him. It showed Elder Yuan Hua of the Celestial Profound Sacred Land leading Dongfang Wan'Er, Lv Yunsheng, and the others as they soared across the Red Land Demon Realm, speeding toward Demon Mountain.

Seeing this, the skeletal old man parted his lips in another grin. "Hehehehe... hehehehe... It seems some troublesome guests have arrived."

As he spoke, the skeletal old man waved his hand at that bronze mirror.

The next moment, the red mist above Demon Mountain surged and began to condense, forming gigantic, blood-red bats. With wingspans of over ten feet, they charged out from Demon Mountain like fiends taking flight.

Seeing this, Elder Yuan Hua, who was speeding toward Demon Mountain, just scoffed. "Heh, and I was wondering who it might be. So it's just a remnant of the Celestial Demon Sect, Elder Taiyin."

Suddenly, Yuan Hua raised his head to the sky and said with cold indifference, "Taiyin, with your paltry skills, you really think you can revive the Celestial Demon Sect? Truly wishful thinking!"

As he spoke, without any apparent movement, a pinpoint of white light erupted from Yuan Hua's body. In the next instant, it shot out, transforming into a white arc that streaked across the sky.

In a blur, every blood-red bat in the sky was suddenly sliced in two, bursting into specks of red sparks with a POP.

"Yunsheng, send word of what's happening here back to the Holy Mountain."

Yuan Hua's voice rang out.

"Yes!"

Lv Yunsheng immediately bowed respectfully to Yuan Hua, then with a flick of his sleeve, produced a yellow talisman. His fingers tapped and swiped rapidly across its surface, seemingly transmitting some message.

Then, Yuan Hua looked at Dongfang Wan'Er and the others behind him. "Wan'Er, Tao Sheng, Zhou Chen, follow me. We're storming Demon Mountain."

Before Yuan Hua could even finish speaking, Tao Sheng had already shot up from the ground, leaping high into the air. He threw a punch with his shackled hand, and a blood-red bat in the sky above shattered with a pop.

A figure flickered past him, and a snow-white streak of sword light shot out, cleaving a blood-red bat down the middle. In the next moment, a cold, detached man—the Saint Heir of the Celestial Profound Sacred Land—slowly appeared at Tao Sheng's side.

It was as if he was deeply uneasy about Tao Sheng; even now, Zhou Chen, the Saint Heir of the Celestial Profound Sacred Land, didn't leave his side for an instant.

Then, a frosty glint flared to life, and the temperature in the sky plummeted.

SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!

Streaks of cold, white sword light flashed around the blood-red bats in the sky.

By the time the frosty light dissipated, Dongfang Wan'Er's figure had already appeared behind the flock of blood-red bats.

The next moment.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The blood-red bats in the sky burst apart simultaneously, erupting into clouds of red sparks.

"Senior Sister Dongfang, I'll help you!"

Down below, after sending the message, Lv Yunsheng also leaped up, charging with a great show of aggression toward the bats in the sky.

But for all his aggressive posturing and apparent desire to protect Dongfang Wan'Er, whenever a blood-red bat actually closed in for the kill, Lv Yunsheng would invariably duck behind her.

Dongfang Wan'Er shot Lv Yunsheng a look but said nothing. With a single slash of her Flying Snow Sword, she blasted apart a blood-red bat behind his back, then coolly charged ahead.

Lv Yunsheng just smiled, not the least bit embarrassed. He scrambled to keep up with Dongfang Wan'Er, terrified of being left behind.

Back in the great hall atop Demon Mountain, the skeletal old man witnessed all of this. His brow twitched, and he turned to the giant lion crouched on the floor beside him. "Chi Yi, you stand guard."

With that, he turned back to the bronze mirror, a sinister grin spreading across his face as he looked at Shen Daoxing's group. "If these few manage to escape, offer them all to Lord Celestial Demon."

Then, the skeletal old man leaped up, dissolving into an arc of light before vanishing completely.

The next moment, the boundless red mist above Demon Mountain surged and condensed, forming the colossal figure of the gaunt old man.

"Hehehehe, hehehehe!"

A raspy voice slowly echoed. "Yuan Hua, if the Human Emperor hadn't appeared back then, your Celestial Profound Sacred Land wouldn't be the ones calling the shots in the East Continent today!"

The colossal, gaunt figure then snorted coldly. A gigantic hand of blood slowly emerged from within Demon Mountain, descending upon Yuan Hua and his group.

...

Meanwhile, Shen Daoxing and his companions were making their way through the Youwang Prison, the third level of the Celestial Demon Six Prisons.

The surroundings were grim and desolate, filled with nothing but a vast expanse of purplish-black earth upon which shadowy, malevolent spirits wandered endlessly.

These malevolent spirits were all once human, corrupted in life by the Celestial Demon. Unable to resist his temptations, they fell ever deeper into depravity until they lost themselves completely, ultimately plunging into this Eternal Hell, damned for all time.

Upon seeing living beings enter their domain, the spirits' faces twisted into greedy smiles. They swarmed forward, baring fangs and claws, their monstrous visages letting out incessant howls.

But Shen Daoxing merely took a single slow step forward, his eyes sweeping coldly over them.

The surrounding spirits froze in unison. As if they had witnessed something truly terrifying, they all began to recoil.

At this moment, Tao Ying flipped through the book in her hand and quickly pointed ahead. "Over there!"

Everyone looked up to see an ancient, unadorned altar standing not far in the distance.

But as soon as the group drew near, they were assaulted by a rank, nauseating stench. Some of them couldn't bear it and began to vomit.

The ancient altar was slick with fresh blood. Countless dismembered human limbs and other remains were strewn across its surface in disarray. Only in the very center was a downward-sloping passage, seemingly the entrance to the level below.

The altar was enormous, yet not a single spirit roamed near it. It appeared deceptively calm and safe, but the mangled remains and the cryptic, arcane runes etched upon it told a different story.

"Big Brother...!"

Just then, Xin's eyebrows twitched as she lay in Shen Daoxing's arms. Her body had been slowly recovering ever since they left the Volcano Prison and the Cold Ice Prison. Now, after a long, restful sleep, she seemed to be waking up.

Seeing this, Shen Daoxing calmly reached out and covered Xin's eyes.

The next moment.
