Leonard closed his eyes for a few moments.

He then opened them and stared at Margaret.

"Very well, I won’t interfere with this issue. But I must remind you again, the students in the military section cannot be harmed, whether directly or indirectly, by you."

"I understand."

Margaret nodded her head in agreement.

Those students involved understood very clearly that the moment they were out of the military section or failed to earn a good enough merit to be recognized, they would be dealt with by her.

After all, who would have the time or leisure to care about a few nobodies?

Margaret learned this concept in a very painful way.

Since she hadn’t earned the Scientific Theory Award yet, her influence wasn’t big enough to deter those who would dare to harm the people close to her.

However, times had changed.

Her influence and strength could protect those close to her. This included Belva, who was technically under Marquis Robert Carrion’s Household.

She reckoned the Marquis wouldn’t make a big fuss if she demanded to have her protege back.

"I’ll take my leave." Margaret stood up and said.

"The welcome ceremony is tomorrow, Margaret." Leon kindly reminded her.

How could he not know what she was planning to do?

He didn’t live for long in ignorance and did not understand the human mindset.

"Besides, she’s been assigned to be a maid for student Raymond. She wouldn’t go anywhere else as long as Raymond remains a student here." He indirectly said there was a lot of time for her to poach Belva away.

"Fine!" Margaret pursed her lips and reluctantly agreed.

If it wasn’t for the fact that Leonard indeed made a powerful move to eliminate all those involved in the auction operation, she wouldn’t have agreed so easily.

Human trafficking activities also decreased tremendously once Leonard made a statement that he would personally deal with them regardless of their status or background.

"Thank you for understanding." Leon heaved a sigh of relief as Margaret teleported away.

Once her presence was gone, another silhouette entered the office.

"Only you can possibly persuade her to not do anything rash."

"Well, I did bring her up."

The newcomer was none other than the Vice Principal, Elsa Frostborn.

"Mhmm, and since you’re here, you might as well attend the welcome ceremony," Elsa suggested. In the past years, Leonard had skipped the ceremony and delegated the responsibility to her.

Some people were starting to think that Leonard was getting lazy or uninterested in the academy because of his prolonged absence.

Even when he was saving humanity, he rarely advertised his deeds and told others to keep his involvement a secret. This essentially made him quite the elusive figure.

"I think I’ll pass." Leon chuckled heartily. "If I show myself in the ceremony, the spies creeping around the academy would alert the others to make a move."

"You shouldn’t overexert yourself," Elsa advised solemnly. "You should just find a proper successor to help alleviate your task."

"You’re right, but it’s really not easy to find someone who has a big and golden heart to eradicate evil. Though the prophecy did mention that it should be around this time that the light was going to come." This was the main reason why Leonard returned to the academy.

"The prophecy again..." Elsa was rendered speechless.

She still couldn’t fathom what the saintess meant when she gave this prophecy 5 years ago.

"I guess the answer will be revealed in this batch of new students." She turned to the windows and glanced at the students outside the campus.

There weren’t many students because tomorrow was the new beginning.

...

The next day, 7AM

"Wake up, Young Master!"

"It’s time to wake up, Young Master Ray~."

Belva dressed in the academy uniform, an exception that was made when a staff member delivered her the uniform.

Servants and maids weren’t allowed on campus once the academic semester started. Hence, she was to leave the vicinity, but because of a special exception, she could remain as a student in disguise.

But the premise was that she had to make Ray attend the welcome ceremony.

It would be an unprecedented scandal if a student were to skip the sacred welcome ceremony.

After all, nobody would anticipate a newly admitted student to have gathered 2,000 Stellan Points before the semester even began.

Ray had truly broken a record that shocked everyone else, especially those who had missed the match and could only learn of the news through their colleagues.

"What is it?" Ray opened his eyes and appeared annoyed. He was enjoying a good sleep.

"You’ve slept for almost 15 hours, Young Master Ray."

"And?"

He never anticipated a fight would be so damn draining. The mana stemmed from his Abyssal Dominion Core, but it still affected him quite a bit.

All he wanted was some more rest.

’I’m not a protagonist, and I don’t have their unlimited stamina buff. I’m only a normal person.’ He cried inwardly, confused as to why he was being forced to wake up.

It reminded him of the trauma when needing to wake up for his online classes at 7AM.

What kind of crazy lunatic could wake up that early?

"We need to get ready to head to the auditorium for the welcome ceremony."

Belva then explained that if he were to skip the ceremony, then she would be expelled from the campus.

In other words, all the nuisance chores and whatnot would be back to his responsibility.

"Shit, which bastard designed that?" Ray twitched his mouth and cursed.

Belva simply flashed an awkward smile.

There could only be one person. And she definitely couldn’t tell who it was to Ray, otherwise, another chaos drama would unfold between the two.

’Professor Margaret definitely knew his intention.’ It didn’t help that Ray didn’t exactly keep his intention a secret either when he spoke those words aloud.

"How long does the ceremony last?" He questioned.

"About 2-3 hours."

"What the hell are they doing to take that long? Talk about their useless old history or why this academy was established? Or is it to showcase the sponsors who fund the academy?"
