Villain Extra: Rogue Reader

Chapter 84: Foresight Ability

Ray was truly exasperated.

He would never understand these long-ass ceremonies that do nothing but waste everyone’s time.

Did they really think anyone would remember their glory announcement?

"Wake me up later," Ray yawned and was about to go back to sleep. It was way too early, and he doubted there was any critical plot point he would miss.

[Host, you have unlocked Foresight for your achievement! With Foresight, you could now view the plotline that would happen.]

’Yeah, I’ll pass.’ Ray refused to believe the garbage system would be that generous all of a sudden. It was definitely a trap to make him work hard.

Want him to play like those Extra protagonists?

Sorry, no way!

[You will earn a chance to spin the Villain Wheel if you accept Foresight!]

OOOF!

Now that was a temptation that Ray found it hard to refuse. After all, the Abyssal Dominion Core was one of the best items he had pulled.

’Give me two chances and they better not be dud!’ He demanded.

[One chance and no dud. Otherwise, it’s too broken!]

’Aha, I knew it. You rigged the Villain Wheel!’ Ray finally caught the system.

They indirectly admitted that they could control the Villain Wheel prize reward.

[No, I was just merely offering the VIP Villain Wheel rather than the regular Villain Wheel. Or would you prefer the regular Villain Wheel instead? I can do that too.]

’Huh? Did I say anything?’ Ray feigned ignorance. ’I only said that I shall accept the Foresight ability. It’s not really fair for an Extra if I don’t even get to know the plot, right? I don’t have a super memory computer that will remember everything.’

[You have gained Foresight ability and a chance to spin the VIP Villain Wheel!]

The system didn’t even bother to bicker with his shameless behavior. They directly handed him the reward.

Ray shook his head and glanced at the Foresight ability, which was basically a control panel in a sense.

The panel was very simple, with only one tab that stated the next plotline.

However, what really pissed Ray off was that it stated the first attempt was free.

In other words, if he wished to glance at the next plotline for details, he might have to pay Villain Points to unlock it. This was definitely an exponential gamble trap designed to swindle his points!

Nevertheless, Ray didn’t hesitate to activate the foresight to check what was going on.

His vision soon blurred, and he found himself floating like a ghost or spectator in a scene.

<Start of Foresight Scene...>

"With this, you can take revenge." A mysterious person donned in complete darkness said as they handed a key to someone else.

It was a student donned in the Crestellan Academy Uniform, but the most irritating part was that the whole face and figure were blurred in mosaic form.

"Hmph, I can’t wait to let them know the consequences for underestimating me." The student held the key and said sinisterly.

The scene soon blurred further, and Ray was shifted to another scene.

Zzst

In the underground, the blurred mosaic student laughed sinisterly. In front of him were many other students who were tied up in some mana ropes.

Among them was someone Ray recognized.

’Why are Sam and Belva there?’ He was alarmed. Aside from these two, the other students were completely blurred in a mosaic.

The two were tied up and were bleeding profusely.

It appeared like they were close to death’s door.

Just when he wanted to get a closer look at the surroundings and the overall situation.

Alas, the moment he tried to fly closer, his vision was flashbanged.

<End of Foresight Scene...>

By the time Ray regained his vision, he found himself back in the present time.

’You’ve got to be fucking kidding me!’ He was immediately frustrated by this ridiculous foresight scene.

Not only was there barely any intel given to him about the culprits, but he was also unaware of what the timeline of the scene was.

Was that somewhere between the start of the semester and the upcoming ceremony?

He was literally blindsided.

"Young Master Ray?" Belva suddenly called out when she saw him, somewhat disconnected from reality. She thought there was something amiss and made sure to scan the surrounding mana.

But there was no anomaly.

Ray snapped out of his daze and glanced at her. She was perfectly normal now, but the scene he witnessed was her battered appearance.

It was almost the same kind as her original fate when she fought the protagonist with all her might and lost miserably.

’I don’t care which bastard you are. But you’d better clean your neck properly.’ Belva was his maid, and those who dared to harm her would have to answer him.

How dare they try to touch his things?

And most importantly, how dare they try to stop him from being a lazy person!

Belva essentially handled the majority of the daily stuff for him. Without her, who else could do those?

He could obviously hire another, but he was disinterested. Belva was the first person he met, so as much as he treated her harshly, there was a unique relationship between them.

It wasn’t the romantic kind, that was for sure.

If anything, it was like having an elder sister who took care of things for him.

"Get the things ready for the welcome ceremony." He exhaled softly and said.

Since the system made it so apparent that the welcome ceremony was a critical point, he shall gladly investigate which bastard dared to mess with his life.

Belva remained unaware of his internal thoughts and readily agreed. She clapped her hands and immediately spoke of the importance of the ceremony.

Ray nodded his head in a way to pretend he was listening in when, in reality, he opened the VIP Villain Wheel to do a spin.

Only an idiot would save that for later and not use it immediately.

He learned from past mistakes, and that was to never save the best for last.

One must always use the best immediately to avoid any lingering regrets.

’You better give me something epic!’ Ray threatened and spun the wheel.
