"OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOD!"
The moment Valerie entered the living room, she barely had a chance to say anything or announce her presence before an earpiercing screech was bouncing off of the walls and a hellish pink blur was shooting towards her.
She just had enough time to toss the innocent little puppy into the air before she was tackled off of her feet.
"Wh-what? Where is it? Where did it go?!" Lucy muttered like a feral beast on the hunt.
She sat up, with Valerie pinned beneath her deceptively strong yet adorably petite frame, as she whipped her head around and rapidly scanned the ground.
"Would you please... get off... breathing is still... necessary." Valerie wheezed.
She had two of her fingers raised, which was currently the only part of her body that didn’t hurt at this moment, as she kept the puppy suspended in the air near the ceiling.
It was a little confused on how it was floating again, as it idly kicked its feet in the air like it was swimming, but even if it was confused it couldn’t stop its tail from wagging as it looked around eagerly.
It was nice to be tall for once.
Lucy eventually calmed down enough that she was not a feral beast, and was just very calmly vibrating with excited energy as she clambered off of Valerie.
Stumbling to her feet, Valerie slowly controlled the puppy and let it ’swim’ down towards Lucy’s awaiting arms.
"Remember, soft hands. Control yourself, this is isn’t as replaceable as a bedframe." Valerie reminded the Demoness, causing her already pink cheeks to turn a deep scarlet.
It was no secret that many people throughout the world were having trouble controlling their new strength levels, especially when they were excited.
Lucy was one of them, having already broken three different bedframes on three separate occasions. All whilst carrying out an... unspecified activity.
She took the puppy in hands, treating it like the most delicate and expensive vase in the world, as she very gently stroked its fur.
Valerie chuckled at the soft whimpers Lucy was making, and the way she whispered "soft little baby" to herself as she pet the puppy.
Naturally, the hellish screams that she had let out moments before brought Jason and Elise running with weapons already drawn as it sounded like someone was getting murdered from the screams.
But as soon as they saw Lucy’s latest obsession, they sighed in relief and chuckled in understanding.
"Is this Beast in need of elimination?" Bai Yin’s voice sounded from behind Valerie, making her flinch from the surprise. Even when she wasn’t intending to be, that damned Thrall was impossibly sneaky. Having suppressed vital signs only helped her in her stealthful endeavours.
"No, Yin, it’s fine. He’s with us. Lucy just got a little excited, that’s all. There is no danger here."
"Where did you get a dog? Oh... a magic dog. Where the hell did you get a magic dog?" Jason asked, as he sauntered over. He was trying to act cool and calm, but his own tail was swishing excitedly and his ears were flickering as his eyes never left the puppy for a second.
The puppy seemed to notice his presence much better than Valerie noticed Bai Yin’s, as its adorable little button nose twitched as it sniffed at the air. It let out some happy yips and began to squirm uncontrollably in Lucy’s arms, until she was finally forced to drop it.
It landed with an awkward thump, but didn’t seem all that bothered as it quickly wriggled to its feet and bounced over to Jason, who scooped it up with an eager smile.
He cuddled the puppy to his chest, nuzzling his cheek against it as the puppy happily licked his head.
Beside her, Valerie could hear Lucy’s ovaries screaming with delight and preparing to stage a revolution if she didn’t do something about the glorious sight in front of her.
The cuteness overload was already bad enough, but the fact that Jason also had similar ears and a tail, made the puppy look like it was his own child rather than a stray he was adopting. Unsurprisingly, Lucy’s body became a hellish storm of hormones and screaming maternal instincts that she had to fight to control.
The succubus side really wasn’t helping either. It was taking her every morsel of self control to keep herself from lunging at Jason right now, leaving her standing awkwardly as she clenched her fists and let out a menacing aura.
All of that just made Valerie chuckle more,
"I found it, when I was having a little adventure." She told him, before starting to explain everything that had happened during her outing and everything that she had discovered. Her explanation was thankfully long enough that it gave Lucy time to calm down even more, although the air still smelled heavily of a strange pheromone that her body was constantly pumping out against her will.
"Sorry... If I was better when we made them, maybe the perception fields would have kept everything away instead of letting so much through."
Elise muttered, wringing her hands infront of herself nervously.
"It’s okay," Valerie said with a smile, patting her on the shoulder, "We did the best that we could. But it was niave of us to think that our enemy wasn’t going to find ways around our meddling. Honestly it was lucky that we found this out now instead of letting it overwhelm us when we were sitting back and relaxing thinking we saved the world."
"Yeah, I guess so... Still, Ren will probably be mad when we tell him."
"Ren will be mad when you tell him what?" A miserable voice muttered, as the undead man himself staggered out of his bedroom. It was hard to tell if his sunken and dead looking eyes was because of his long Dawd sessions, or just because that was how he naturally looked.
Odds were it was a combination of both.
"Things are still getting through the portals. Creatures infected with the corrupted Sin Eaters are being led to them, even through the perception fields." Valerie explained
Ren immediately grumbled in annoyance, ruffling his hair as he sighed heavily.
"It seems time is not taking kindly to being changed, and wants to correct itself. But, we aren’t going to let that happen. Even more of a reason that you should all be focusing on your strength.
I already told you that you should be level 100 before we go into the tournament. Why aren’t you levelling up instead of playing with some dumb dog?" He grumped.
"Who says that I can’t do both?" Valerie chuckled with a cocky smirk, "After all, You might have the uber secret spots for grinding. But you still don’t understand the best secret to levelling up fast."
"Oh really... And do tell what that is, Fang Face."
"Isn’t it obvious Rot Boy? You let someone else do it for you."
