Chapter 1264 - 543: Landuin Tomb Grand Battle (Part 2)Chapter 1264: Chapter 543: Landuin Tomb Grand Battle (Part 2)
Amid the turmoil of clashing armies, the great duel was thus unleashed. With two casual gestures, Tzeentch’s foremost Great Demon under his throne, Carlos, spewed flame from its fingers and melted two valiantly fighting Kingdom Knights together with their horses into a single pool of molten iron.
Now, nothing at all stood between them.
The first to charge in and clash with Carlos was Kaled. This Count Galament, a Holy Sanctuary Holy Grail Knight, spurred his Pure-blooded Elf Warhorse and turned into a streaking meteor that shot straight for Carlos. The Divine Sword Durandale in his hand carved a glittering arc through the air; facing the Great Demon of Tzeentch, this Holy Grail Knight, whose life had been full of hardship, swore he would continue to fight for the Goddess!
Kaled’s strength was beyond question. Since embarking on the Holy Grail Expedition, this Holy Grail Knight had piled up victory after victory, and had even defeated the Mad Duke Meroving in single combat.
But before Carlos, it was still far from enough! The Great Demon of Tzeentch now was no longer what it used to be! It had already seized four Holy Artifacts in succession!
The Great Demon of Tzeentch flicked out its Magic Staff with effortless grace. The blue Magic Staff in Carlos’s grasp was emblazoned with Tzeentch’s Holy Emblem, covered in twisted Witchcraft Energy and writhing eyeballs! Wielding eternal and undying power, it easily pierced through Kaled’s offensive line; the Witchcraft Staff effortlessly knocked aside Durandale’s blade.
Clenching the Witchcraft Staff, the Great Demon of Tzeentch made a small spinning motion to hook Durandale’s edge, then with its other hand instantly seized Kaled by the throat and hurled this Holy Grail Knight, rider and horse together, flying away.
Even as that motion ended, Carlos immediately twisted aside, letting Laine’s Warhammer strike pass by; the howling lightning hit nothing at all. One of the Demon’s heads fixed its gaze on Laine’s movements—its Magic Staff and Laine’s Warhammer clashed again and again for several swift exchanges, driving him back. At the same time, the other head instantly intoned a Spell: "Amber Spear!"
A Long Spear, formed entirely from Chaos Energy, collided head-on with the lightning arrow released by the Lake God Witch. Mogiana’s brows knitted tight—the Lake God Witch knew her Magic was being heavily countered. She gripped the Potion Chalice, calling down lightning to strike the Great Demon of Tzeentch.
The Fate Weaver spat out a dazzling beam of light. By that single beam alone, the magical duel between the Great Demon of Tzeentch and Mogiana remained locked without a clear victor.
More terrifying still, at the very same time its other head was focusing on opposing Laine. Mjolnir and the Witchcraft Staff clashed with resounding force in all directions; amidst flying sparks, Witch Fire and lightning soared together, excess power erupting everywhere. Time and again Laine launched savage assaults, only to be met with endless parries, blocks, and evasions.
Through solid, relentless blows one after another, the Griffin Empress under Laine spewed lightning that struck Carlos’s Demon armor. Yet this armor, marked with the Holy Emblem of Tzeentch, clearly would not be harmed so easily. The Griffin’s lightning merely crackled and sparked faintly upon the Demon armor, then vanished into nothing.
Likewise, the five-colored flames that the Great Demon of Tzeentch spat from its maw could not harm Laine. As those flames drew near him, a shield of silver regular hexagons appeared around the Grey Knight Primarch, scattering those Witchcraft Flames.
"Ugh!" Laine swung his Warhammer with difficulty; he could feel it clearly—Carlos had grown stronger.
If back on the battlements of the Sharp-Top Palace, Laine had believed that relying on his Spiritual Energy he could barely fight Carlos to a standstill, now, facing Carlos, Laine already felt the looming certainty of defeat. After claiming more Holy Artifacts, the Great Demon of Tzeentch had completely reinforced the energy passage between the Chaos Domain and the Prime Material World.
The Great Demon of Tzeentch and Tzeentch’s Demon Army must be defeated here! Fighting atop the Griffin hindered Laine from going all out; he immediately leapt down from the Griffin, drew the Goddess of Revenge, and closed in on the Great Demon of Tzeentch for melee combat. The Lake Fairy’s Divine Chosen Champion gritted his teeth and fought Carlos; the flurry of blows from both sides resembled a wondrous war-dance, so swift that the eye could scarcely follow.
Kaled crashed into a patch of muddy water. Filled with humiliation, this Holy Sanctuary Powerhouse and Holy Grail Knight slammed his hand hard into Musillon’s sodden marsh; muddy water splashed across his face, icy and biting. Rising in fury, Kaled gripped Durandale in both hands and whirled back into the fray.
Durandale was suffused with the Lake God’s wrath. Kaled firmly believed Jules was also watching this battle. He wielded the sword edge with seasoned steadiness, launching a desperate life-and-death struggle against this immeasurably powerful Chaos Great Demon.
Yet even so, the Great Demon of Tzeentch felt only the slightest pressure. Carlos, relatively at ease, simultaneously met the combined assault of Laine and Kaled. Across endless ages, the knowledge possessed by the Fate Weaver far surpassed mortal imagination; it was employing virtually every superior technique mortals could conceive. In every motion, Carlos’s movements were more graceful than those of the oldest High Elf Hos Sword Saints. Maintaining practiced, intricate footwork and form, it used the Witchcraft Staff to parry both the Goddess of Revenge and Durandale. Whether from Kaled or Laine, every offensive was seen through and broken.
The First Great Demon beneath Tzeentch’s throne seemed, by this very method, to be telling these struggling mortals: your feeble Pseudo-Gods will never be a match for Saint Tzeentch—never.
"I do not understand what you are still clinging to." The Great Demon of Tzeentch sneered. It summoned a Dark Mana Storm. The power of the Lake God Witch Mogiana could not contend with this overwhelming Mana Storm. She called forth a host of green Thorn Earth Spirits—but in the blink of an eye these Thorn Earth Spirits were utterly devoured by the Dark Storm, leaving nothing behind.
