Next morning... when Liam opened his eyes, he saw Megan in his room, which surprised him enough to make him blink twice. He looked beside him, only to find there was no one. No Clara, no weird bedsheets.

Even he was fully clothed, wearing his old, super-tight T-shirt and jeans, which had been cut in a few places to somehow make them fit him. Liam glanced down at himself, then back at Megan.

What the fuck happened?

"Clara is out shopping for you. She took your car, which just came back from the car wash. I’m taking her car and heading to the university to move in, so come by whenever you’re ready, okay?"

"I... I think I’ll wake up properly first, then eat something and catch up with you guys."

Liam’s mind was still hazy. Last night felt like a dream, as everything so far this morning was different from how he had thought it would go. He had expected to bring breakfast up to his room for Clara, but apparently, she was already out somewhere shopping for him while he was still trying to wake up.

He rubbed his face with one hand and blinked slowly, giving himself another moment to make sense of the morning.

"Suit yourself. Also, what are you going to do with this many MacBooks? Should I load them into the car and take them to the dorm... to your room?"

"Be my guest."

Liam just shrugged his shoulders at Megan, who smiled at him and started picking up her stuff lying around his room. The three of them had booked two rooms when they arrived, but because Liam barely had anything with him, the girls had spread their belongings across both rooms.

The sleeping arrangements were the only exception. Megan slept in her assigned room, while Clara had slept beside Liam for the past two nights.

Liam got up at his own pace, went to the washroom, and took a bath. His neck felt weird, as if he had slept on it wrong, so he slowly turned his head from side to side under the warm water. When he came back from the washroom, he found Megan in the middle of closing the room door.

"I’ve loaded the MacBooks. See you on campus."

Liam just nodded his head. With a big towel wrapped around his waist, he sat on the bed and felt like the world was a better place. He was feeling very calm, his shoulders relaxing as he let out a comfortable breath.

She fucked my brains out...

Shaking his head, he reached for the suit he had purchased yesterday, but sighed as he picked it up. He was a young man, and moving in on his first day at college was a big deal. He would look extremely awkward showing up in this. Liam glanced down at the suit in his hands, then reluctantly took the pants off the hanger.

*CLICK*

As he was about to put his pants on, the doorknob turned, and he saw Clara standing in the doorway, her hands full of shopping bags and a bright smile on her face.

"Liam, good morning. I see you’re still half-asleep... Why didn’t you order coffee for yourself?"

"Morning. Where were you?"

"Can’t you see? I went to buy you some clothes. Your old ones won’t fit you now... Wait..."

Clara dropped the dozen or so shopping bags onto the bed and picked up the room’s landline to call room service. She glanced at Liam while waiting for someone to answer, her bright smile still on her face.

"Hello? Could we get two orders of scrambled eggs with applewood-smoked bacon, hash browns, and a French baguette? And some fresh fruit to share, plus a pot of coffee for two, with milk and sugar on the side. Thanks."

Ending the call, she smiled broadly. Her gaze dropped to his eight-pack abs, and she narrowed her eyes a little, looking for another second before turning her attention to the shopping bags she had brought.

Some were from Levi’s, others from H&M. Clara pulled out a pair of dark blue Levi’s 501 jeans and unfolded them, holding them up by the waistband in front of him. She glanced between his legs and the jeans, then handed them over with a satisfied nod.

"These should fit you. Try them on."

Liam took the jeans in his hands, feeling the denim before turning over the price tag hanging from the waistband. Sixty-four dollars. While he was looking at it, Clara opened another bag and pulled out a black crew-neck T-shirt, followed by a white one. She held the black one against his chest, spreading the shoulders out with her hands.

"I got you bigger sizes. You can actually move your arms in these without ripping something."

Liam smiled a little and took the shirt from her. He checked its tag as well. Nine dollars and ninety-five cents. Clara was already reaching into another bag, clearly enjoying herself as the pile of new clothes beside him kept growing.

Yeah, this is what normal prices looked like... I should’ve purchased these first instead... I’ll send her to New York, to Baker & Sons as well, to get herself something nice.

The clothes she had bought him were, of course, normal jeans and T-shirts in the largest sizes available. They still felt somewhat breathable when he tried them on, as Clara had specifically picked out ones made with stretchy fabric, giving him a little extra room to move.

"Thank you..."

"You’re welcome. Hey, your new car is so nice and easy to drive... but it’s more expensive than your black one, isn’t it?"

Clara smiled and sat down. She looked somewhat tired but super happy, her shoulders relaxing as she settled onto the bed. She had driven his new Bentayga around today and was comparing it with the Range Rover he had sent to his dad just yesterday.

"Yes... it’s very expensive. If you like it, you can keep it. I’ll drive your Mercedes around."

"N... No, I love my car... Yours is just really eye-catching."

"It really is... Where did you get the money to buy these clothes?"

"I... used the money you gave me for emergencies."

"That two thousand?"

"Yes... Sorry I spent it, even though you told me not to."

"It’s alright."

Liam smiled and gently patted her head. Clara was such a good girl, looking guilty over spending so little money when she had used it to buy clothes for him. His smile widened a little as he looked at her.

Now that I remember, I have to make her a multimillionaire, right?...

"After breakfast, I’ll take you somewhere... Have you eaten anything this morning?"

"No... I just thought you were struggling with your clothes, so I went straight out and bought you something to wear."

*KNOCK-KNOCK*

"Good morning, room service. I have your breakfast. May I come in?"

"Yes... come in."

Clara stood up and went to the door while Liam watched her. He was about to walk over to the coffee table to clear some space for breakfast, but his feet stopped when he casually called up the ’Status Panel’ to check Clara’s status. His eyes settled on the panel that appeared in front of him.
