This concert was divided into two parts. The first part, with its high-quality production, focused on conceptual songs that clearly showcase Pantheion’s main concept. The second part was prepared with a more casual atmosphere, featuring various B-side tracks, a talk segment, and the competition songs from Survive IDOL, so that everyone could enjoy it.

As a result, the first part was inevitably packed with the title tracks Pantheion had released so far. Since Pantheion had created title tracks based on the mythology assigned to each member during our promotions, putting together the stage wasn’t particularly difficult.

‘Indeed, our group’s title tracks have a strong conceptual feel, so they work really well on big stages like concerts.’

The final song of the first part was, of course, Heracles.

Since the concert was named ‘Gigantomachia‘ or ‘Battle of the Gods‘, what could be more fitting than ending with the tale of Heracles, the great hero who saved Olympus from the Gigantes and emerged victorious?

‘Who would have thought that Pantheion’s debut song, which marked our very beginning, would become the finale title track…….’

Near the end of the first part, the stage was purposefully reworked to depict the aftermath of the Gigantomachia. Pillars were rearranged to appear shattered, and debris was scattered across the set, creating a starkly different atmosphere from the opening.

The members also went on stage not with makeup aimed at fitting conventional beauty standards, but with faces covered in makeup depicting wounds and ash.

Some might say that, since it was the last time, it would have been better to show only our best, most beautiful side. But to me, this was the right choice. Our job is to present the audience with a great performance. If we give it our all for that, those who love us will surely appreciate it.

This was especially so in the very last part of Heracles, when it was Lee Danbi’s turn.

“I will become a hero who will leave a name beyond countless trials

I will prove my existence”

Since that part was Lee Danbi’s solo, we left the stage before the song had fully ended. This allowed me to watch Lee Danbi standing alone in the middle of the ruined temple, his hair wildly tousled by the strong wind, yet he remained steady, his gaze fixed straight ahead.

“I will make it known that I belong here, I’m one of them.”

To recreate the scene from the music video, a backdrop filled with countless stars was set, yet Lee Danbi’s eyes shone brighter than anything else. Watching him, I felt my heart swell with emotion, struck by how different he had become from the person he was before meeting this song.

The same went for the other members.

I could clearly feel that everyone had made remarkable growth during their time with Pantheion.

“WAAAAAA!”

Our group is famous for the difficulty of our title songs, but despite performing them back to back, everyone managed to hold up well.

They didn’t let on at all on stage, but in reality, Baek Kiryang and Lee Danbi, who had less stamina than the other members, were having a bit of a hard time.

‘Performing on the actual stage is very different from rehearsals, much more than you might imagine. Since they’re rookies with little concert experience, the members were probably quite surprised too.’

Once backstage, we used oxygen masks to help with breathing, applied ice packs to quickly bring down our rising temperatures, and received quick massages to relieve muscles stiffened by fatigue. But before long, we stood up again and went back out on stage.

The members themselves seemed unable to understand how they could keep pushing through despite being so exhausted, but I knew why.

‘When I stand on stage and hear the audience cheering for me, I get this magical feeling that I can accomplish anything.’

Knowing that today would be the last time I’d experience this feeling I’ve known countless times until now…..

It left me with a deep sense of regret.

No, it was more than just regret.

I’ll probably continue to long for the stage even after I’m dead.

‘…Will the members ever come to understand this feeling someday?’

When we get back to the hotel after today’s concert, I think everyone will start to understand a little. Just moments ago, tens of thousands of people were watching their performance, so when that suddenly disappears all at once, it can leave them with the feeling of being left alone. Even long after leaving the venue, they can still hear that ringing in their ears—the echo of the crowd’s cheers. I’ve never been able to fully get past that feeling myself. It made me feel a bit concerned.

‘Besides, since Pantheion’s activities are officially over today, that feeling will probably be even more intense.’

I wish everyone wouldn’t suffer too much emotionally.

Because I’m no longer able to be by their side now.

As I was absentmindedly thinking about these things, I saw the members busily moving around and communicating with the staff, and I shook my head slightly.

“My in-ear monitor seems to be a bit off on one side. Could you adjust it right away?”

“Sukyung-ssaem! Please fix my makeup! It’s all gone because of the sweat!”

I felt like it was okay even if I didn’t solve every problem anymore.

That gave me at least a small sense of relief.

“Zen-ssi, you forgot your arm sleeves! Come here!”

“My, mistake. My, my.”

…Well, they’re only human, so a little mistake now and then is unavoidable.

As soon as the concert ends, let’s give Choi Jeokhyeon his last gift. Then, before Choi Jeokhyeon and Seo Yuseong notice anything unusual, I’ll immediately set off to save Han Seungbeom.

“…….”

Actually, I haven’t decided what to do about the Prism members’ memories yet.

It wasn’t so much that I couldn’t decide. I was just avoiding the issue.

Even though I clearly knew what the right choice was and what was best for Prism, I was still hesitating because of my own selfishness.

‘’How much longer am I going to keep putting this off…….’

Just as I was thinking that, a petite wardrobe staff member quickly ran over to me and handed me a velvet choker.

“Seungbeom-ssi, please put this around your neck! I’ll take off your hairpiece while you change outfits!”

“Alright, thank you.”

As I hurriedly changed my outfit and tuned my ears toward the audience area, I could hear the VCR for the second part playing on the stage screen while the members who had come backstage were also changing their clothes. Then, the moment the video officially started….

“Ahahaha!”

The Muses erupted into laughter.

By now, the screen they’re watching is probably showing Zen roaring, in a direct parody of a famous movie studio’s intro. He’s wearing the exact costume from Pet Talk.

[“Awooo, rawr, woooh ……. waaaang?”]

In contrast to the solemn image on screen, the audio actually playing was a ridiculous cry Zen had recorded on his phone, occasionally cracking off-key and sounding completely drained of energy. Since the company already had a fully equipped recording studio, it wasn’t a lack of budget that kept the recording from being done properly. It was an intentional choice, recorded crudely to evoke the feel of a low-budget, B-movie.

“What in the world is that?”

“Ahahaha! Zen is so cute!”

As soon as they saw it, the Muses couldn’t hold back their laughter. They smiled widely and started to tease him.

A little later, Do Yuda and Lee Hwayoung appeared on either side of Zen, both glaring at him with contempt. The video then split clumsily, as if made with a free editing program, to show Woo Kangwon twirling with a solemn expression, holding Lee Danbi aloft like a torch. By the time that scene played, the laughter was beyond control.

After the opening video passed, a shaky video that looked like it was filmed by hand started to play. It showed Baek Kiryang, wearing rabbit ears, and me, wearing cat ears, both sitting slouched on the floor. From outside the frame, a woman’s hand suddenly appeared and patted both of our heads.

[<I’ll be back soon. You’d better wait for me like a good kid, okay?>]

Subtitles appeared without any voice, and when the door creaked shut, Baek Kiryang and I finally turned around. We both had slightly sulky, disappointed expressions on our faces.

Then, as if having made up our minds about something, we rose from our seats with a solemn air. Suddenly, the video shifted into animation, and characters representing the members as animals appeared.

[“MyuMyu, where did you go! (Angry emoticon)”]

[“When will Muse be here? ㅠㅠ”]

While they were noisily getting ready at home to welcome their owner, music began to play.

“Seven P.M, when it’s time for you to come

My heart is pounding, thump thump”

It was the opening of Pet Talk.

Yeah!

As soon as the video ended, we ran freely onto the stage at the staff’s signal, and the sound of fans screaming filled the air. However, even then, I could see a look of puzzlement appear in the eyes of some Muses seated in the standing section.

It was because, unlike the previous Pet Talk stages, the members were wearing tail props but not ear props.

“What kind of fun things are going to happen today?

How many happy hours can I spend with you?

I waited for you all day thinking about that”

At that part of the performance, I instantly spotted the camera with its red light on, as if by instinct, and swiftly grabbed Lee Danbi’s arm, as he was still wandering around aimlessly without finding it. With him in my arms, I winked at the camera.

Click!

The music stopped at that moment, and the click of a camera shutter rang out.

Then, the huge screen displayed us live, with a filter adding animal ears and whiskers to our faces.

In response, a deafening roar of cheers erupted.

While the other members’ parts continued, I went down to the fans who were going wild and leaned my face close to them. I let dozens of trembling hands brush against my cheeks, jaw, and hair, and then I nuzzled my cheek against one of them, as if playfully seeking affection.

As soon as the camera caught that moment, a sound far louder than before—almost like a scream—thundered through the venue.

“KYAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!”

It was the beginning of the second part.

.

.

.

Bet on me. JACKPOT!

I’m sexy! I’m cute! I’m cool!

If someone were to ask why things have come to this, I’d have nothing to say.

We had clearly completed the second part without any issues and successfully finished the Born to be IDOL performance, standing in order of ranking. But then, the moment the camera director caught Do Yuda’s father on screen during the following talk segment, things started to take a strange turn.

“Cause I was born to be an idol!”

When Do Yuda’s 50-year-old father showed off his insane dance moves to Born to be IDOL, the concert hall exploded with excitement.

“Ahahaha!”

‘Ah, Father-nim…….’

As luck would have it, Do Yuda’s father was even wearing flashy sunglasses, which made him look even more lost in the moment. What on earth … had possessed him to act that way? In this Confucian country, the only person who could call him out was his wife.

“Goodness, what’s gotten into this man? Get your act together.”

When Do Yuda’s mother slapped Do Yuda’s father’s butt, the camera, as if it had seen something it shouldn’t, hurriedly shifted its focus to Camilla nearby.

Then Camilla copied the exact gesture Lee Hwayoung had made earlier during the Pet Talk performance and winked at the camera. At that, Lee Hwayoung’s pale face suddenly flushed bright red, whether from embarrassment over his mother’s natural charisma, the realization that his mother had been watching his camera appeal the whole time, or because the Muses—thrilled by the great beauty’s wink—were staring in amazement.

While the Muses giggled once more, the camera circled around and turned toward the rest of Pantheion’s family.

“Kiryang-aaaaahhh! Hyung is so proud of youuuu!”

“Woow, our son is so handsome.”

“Zeeen!”

“Lee Danbi! Lee Daanbiiiiiii! Hey!”

Starting with Baek Kiryang’s older brother, pianist Baek Kiheon, then moving on to Woo Kangwon’s parents, Nagi Zen’s mother, and Lee Danbi’s older sister, the camera seemed to hesitate a bit before sweeping across the audience. It was probably because the crew realized they had shown six members’ families and felt the need to fairly include the seventh as well.

But no matter how hard they searched, it would be pointless.

Because Han Seungbeom’s family wasn’t here.

There’s no way people with no experience in ticketing could have secured seats at a top-tier idol group’s final concert, and since they weren’t given any guest seats either, there was no one here who could be presented as my family. Yet, the camera was blatantly showing that they were searching for my family.

‘Damn it.’

In truth, the talk segment was difficult to script, so we just glossed over it during rehearsal. I never imagined that a mistake like this would happen.

…Ah, what should I do?

Translator’s Corner:

I went back to old chaps to copy the lyrics, and still found out a lot of mistakes …. like I can accept finding typos, but keep finding double sentences even after months is asfhgflszdjfljkf

I would really appreciate it if you guys could tell me if you found double sentences …. I usually wrote two or three (or maybe four) version for each paragraph (and this is why it took me hours to translate a chapter), then compare them to see which one suits the best. (This is very important because the author likes to put 3-4 actions into one single sentences, and it sounds very tacky and wordy when tled to English. I usually translate it literally first, then break down into two or three sentences on my own [reasons why it’s pretty obvious people are re-translating my translations not the original, since mine has different sentence structure]). The thing is I tend to forget to delete the rest and my eyesight is bad, so I missed them a lot asdhfljfkj

Sorry there’s no chapter yesterday. Someone robbed all my money on DankMemer (Discord bot) so I need to work hard from zero to collect money again … and they robbed me in a translation group’s server … can I sue …… remind me to never join tl group server with bots again……

There’s probably no update today too since I have to fight with Orbits /jk … no … they’re so annoying …. I love LOONA and like their songs (I followed them ever since Heejin was first introduced), but their fandom is really top 5 most annoying kpop fandom in internet, for years ….. With BTS or Blackpink fandom, at least you’d understand why they’re so arrogant, but LOONA fandom …. I’m not joking when I say they definitely played a part why the group failed to become popular group despite the very promising lineup and concept. They were already acting so annoying and pissing off 74 different fandoms even before those girls officially debuted …. I still have a folder of screenshots during idol death news and they’re packing in qrts with “maybe if they stan loona–” ….. my advice is, if you’re in kpop fandom space, don’t ever act superior unless your group is a top-tier group …. the one that’s going to suffer is your idol since people won’t view them negatively because of their fandom …

Also Baek Kiheon, I miss you…..
