As Adam had confidently declared, his friends were no longer a match for him physically. But he did hold back, only using more strength than what Henry could conjure with his Blood Manipulation.
Declan, on the other hand, could not last more than a few seconds. His plant-based affinity excelled at binding and strangling, not strength boosting. Valric was wise enough to turn down the challenge, knowing his intelligence-based affinity would not help him in the current scenario. Regardless, Valric’s affinity was one of the scariest there was.
Adam seized total victory, as his friends had no chance at beating him when his stats were almost three times theirs. They might have awakened early, but their progress could not bring them to the peak of the first realm in a few short weeks, as on average, awakeners spent more than half a year to get to that level.
Moreover, Adam took the chance to observe his friends closely, analyzing their moves and abilities with his newly awakened peculiar eyes. Nothing could be hidden before them. However, his eyes weren’t simply seeing through objects, but rather saw through matter in a spectrum he had never heard of before.
His gaze only focused on what he wanted to see and understand. In Henry’s Blood Manipulation case, he was able to perceive how his blood got stimulated and then moved through the body as it interacted with Spark, the essence that governed ability usage.
Adam couldn’t believe what he saw. It felt like everything was laid bare before his eyes. He couldn’t understand everything at a glance, but the more he saw, the clearer the principles became.
’This is amazing.’
Within moments, he understood a few things about living cells and tissues, surprising even him. Adam had not always been big on the sciences. Now, however, things were different. It had literally become a language to him. And from what he could tell, Henry’s ability could only affect the bearer for now, and could not be pushed beyond a certain threshold, as it was limited by the realm of the user.
Instinctively, Adam knew he could manipulate blood to an extent. Unfortunately, his understanding of the life processes wasn’t high enough for him to fill in the blanks himself. He needed to observe more, to read more.
Even so, Adam was beyond elated. It hadn’t even been twenty-four hours since he awakened! A few more observation and reading sessions and the understanding would fall into place.
What followed after their sparring was plans about how they’d dominate their year when they got to their chosen academy. Adam, in particular, was looking forward to all the abilities he would have access to.
The day was slowly coming to an end now. Adam bid farewell to his friends before retracing his steps back home, excited to learn as much as he could before his admission.
Time slowly passed as the days turned into weeks, the next window for entering an academy drawing closer. The academy systems of the world did not just focus on combat-awakened abilities. Scientists, engineers and federation officials were just as crucial.
However, because people awakened at different times throughout the year, the academies had four admission tracks, allowing the academies to admit students all year round. Adam did not really understand how that worked, but he didn’t think too deeply about the details. All would be clear once he got in.
Unbeknownst to him, his father had no intention of sending him to any of the four academies in the city. Those academies were good, but they were not good enough for the kind of monster his son had become. As a father, Jon wanted the best for his son.
Without adequate stimulation and challenges, Adam would learn nothing much from those academies. That was why Jonathan spent the weeks following Adam’s awakening calling in and making new favours to get him into the best academy in the region.
Adam would have to justify himself in some sort of test, but that was of little trouble. Jon was confident his son would pull it off. As such, whatever plans Adam made with his friends would be rendered meaningless. But such was life... It happened with or without plans.
On the other hand, Adam did not spend all that time doing nothing. He got to reading whatever material he got his hands on. From the sciences, mathematics, and even the socials; none were left behind.
But his greatest shock during this time came from the system itself. Adam had thought his system was slightly special than the others. He couldn’t be more wrong. For starters, his system came with its own independent storage space, measuring 64 cubic meters.
The space was the size of a small room; a lot more room than he imagined. What’s more, the system stated that the storage space could be expanded when he increased his understanding of spatial principles.
Then there was the knowledge index he didn’t know he had. Every known knowledge index and then some, were present. It surpassed everything he knew and understood about systems, almost as if it came straight out of fiction.
[Knowledge Indexes]
[Biological:....0.24%]
<Cell:.....12%>
<Anatomy:....5%>
<Blood:....15%>
<Muscles:....11%>
<Bones:.....2%>

The list went on under the Biological Index.

<Unarmed Combat:...35%>
<Weapon Mastery:.....10%>
<Marksmanship:.....2%>
[Physical:.....0.20%]
<Motion:.....3%>
<Force:...2%>
<Gravity:.....1%>
<Heat:.....7%>

There were several more listed knowledge indexes with their sub-categories, displaying his progress and understanding of those principles. There were Chemical, Mathematical, Material, Energy, Information, and more locked behind greyed and blurred text!
Indexes he didn’t even know existed were all there. The discovery was so overwhelming that Adam had a hard time regulating his breathing. His Genesis Affinity was beyond anything he had previously imagined!
With every understanding he gained from studying, experiencing and experimenting with the principles around him, Adam gained the power to innovate and create in whatever direction he desired.
That was the true power of Genesis!
He wouldn’t simply copy existing abilities; no, that was too bland. He would understand the fundamental laws and principles governing them and then birth new structures from that understanding!
Truly, First Principle, Titan Genesis and Genesis were beyond broken. He literally had everything that had ever been created at his fingertips. All he had to do was reach for it.
First Principle sped the process at which Genesis would recreate. Adam realised that without the First Principle, Genesis would have been an incredibly slow affinity. The three attributes complemented themselves so well that one attribute would have been flawed without the other two.
’There’s no time to waste!’
Adam felt incredibly fired up, ready to take on the world. With greater enthusiasm than before, he dived into learning and experimenting, leaving his parents wondering what had become of their child.
