[Losrik City]
The long-awaited words appeared before Leon’s eyes. Every time the words introducing the place appeared, he felt rejuvenated, his entire being instantly refreshed.
If one were to ask the reason, perhaps it’s because this signifies that his adventure has reached a new stage?
"This place seems really..."
It’s truly beyond his expectations.
The church occupied by the Dancing Lady of the Cold Valley had a ladder leading to Losrik City. Upon climbing up, you could reach this city. Based on Leon’s original speculation, entering the city in such an unceremonious manner would likely lead to an equally unceremonious entry point, like perhaps beneath a random sewer manhole cover or a secluded room.
However, to his surprise, he appeared in front of a very grand-looking hall!
Despite its antiquity, you can tell that the carpet at his feet is valuable. Gilded or purely clean candlesticks were placed everywhere, along with massive floor-to-ceiling windows and various intricate sculptures displayed in front of him... all these items combined, giving him a feeling no less than the reception halls of any aristocratic manor in the kingdom.
And this isn’t even visibly the most luxurious place in Losrik City; it seems like just a foyer, or perhaps not even that, its function more akin to a screen.
When Leon saw these displays for the first time, he thought of the always popular trade of non-light point items from the Sain Dungeon.
Although it was hard to admit, upon seeing so many valuable items, even he couldn’t help but harbor some worldly thoughts.
"Feels like even dragging the carpet out to sell would fetch a good price."
He shook his head, shook off the ice crystals gathered on the Bordeaux Hammer in his hand, and stepped forward.
Compared to money, the adventure process is still more appealing to him—someone who has completed the initial accumulation of wealth speaks with confidence.
As he skirted around this hall with no exit, he finally saw something familiar enough to make one smile understandingly.
In front of him was a staircase going upwards, with a trident structure. The stairs branched into two additional paths from the sides at midsection, while the main path led to a fairly large room.
Leon first walked through both forked paths, only to find doors tightly locked at the end of each path. Upon touching them:
[Cannot be opened from this side]
He showed a relieved and helpless smile, realizing it’s unwise to have extra expectations of the Sain Dungeon’s peculiarities.
So now, only the main path was left.
"This design feels like it’s screaming ’You’ll return here during your exploration later,’ it’s the same familiar trope."
Bang!
As Leon just ascended the final step, a deafening noise like something heavy jumping reached his ears, followed by the sound of wind piercing the air.
A gleaming Great Sword suddenly appeared before him, pressing straight towards his forehead!
Boom—
In an instant, his body exploded into a cloud of smoke, vanishing on the spot, while the heavy Great Sword crashed onto the ground, shattering the smooth and clean surface.
This is the Combat Skill Hound Step, using Hound Step had almost become Leon’s muscle memory, executing this skill proficiently in combat feels almost like cheating.
At this moment, he found himself right behind the owner of the Great Sword that ambushes him.
With barely any time for hesitation, he pulled out a dagger and executed [Resolve] within a brief moment, stabbing it straight into the enemy’s ASS.
The sharp dagger instantly pierced through the weak spot in the enemy’s full body Armor, causing a gush of blood to burst out, splattering all over him.
Sheathing his blade, retreating, inhaling, and then...
[Prayer Strike]!
The Ice Dog Hammer wrapped in cold aura immediately sparkled with Holy attribute brilliance, hammering heavily onto the struggling enemy’s back.
Only to hear a resounding clang of steel, the enemy’s Iron Armor was thoroughly caved in, with blood spraying all around, raining down.
Only after finishing all these tasks as smoothly as flowing water did Leon have time to carefully observe the identity of the enemy in front of him.
This enemy was an old acquaintance, a Losric Knight.
However, the knights inside Losrik City felt much tougher than those at the Losrik High Wall, extremely difficult to fight.
But right then, before he could perform a finishing blow, a soft yellowish light suddenly wrapped around the near-death Losric Knight, and the previously motionless body began to tremble slightly.
He turned around abruptly, only to see a skinny Priest draped in a coarse cloth robe, hunched over and shaking the Holy Bell in his hand, while the same yellowish light exuded from him.
The sound of Armor clashing immediately arose behind Leon as the Losric Knight started to get back up.
So it was a healing type of enemy.
His figure immediately vanished from the spot, reappearing once again with the Big Hammer swung towards the Priest’s face.
But just as this Big Hammer was about to have a friendly discussion with the Priest’s face, a dangerous aura suddenly emerged from the side—a Losric Knight wielding a Big Shield and a Spear charged over aggressively.
