Jian Yu looked at Si Xu’s tense back, her hand tracing the lines of his muscles.

She lifted her head, her gaze vacant as a vibrant crimson blush spread from the corners of her eyes.

Her voice was flat, as if reciting a passage from a textbook.

"The way you look down on everything, like a god loving the world, ’pitying’ its suffering, ’illuminating’ its plight."

Before Jian Yu could finish, she was forced to swallow her words, tilting her head back to meet Si Xu’s fiery kiss.

She let out a soft hum, her eyes shimmering with moisture.

Desire surged in Si Xu’s eyes, and the broad, fair muscles of his back tensed instantly.

His voice was hoarse. "It is easy to pity others, but difficult to save oneself. Even a god cannot escape the shackles woven by fate, custom-made just for them."

Jian Yu’s voice was hoarse and choked, sounding a little pitiful.

"I was complimenting you. I rarely praise anyone."

In fact, she rarely spoke at all.

Si Xu’s gaze swept unabashedly over Jian Yu’s bewildered face.

His eyes were filled with compassion, yet a trace of longing flickered in their depths.

"A god is trapped in restrained pleasure, developing an unprecedented and irresistible bond for you. Shouldn’t you take pity on your god and show him a little more mercy?"

Jian Yu’s gaze grew unfocused.

Shame was on her face, yet she secretly clenched her fists, reveling in the screams.

She knew this was wrong, that it was immoral.

But she couldn’t help but fixate on the morbid part of it all, sacrificing herself, staring into her own trauma, and finding pleasure in this feast of sin.

She would never praise this kind of emotion, nor did she want to twist it into a normal view of love.

The headmaster didn’t understand why she liked to read novels about forced love. Jian Yu couldn’t explain it, but she wouldn’t excessively recommend them either.

It was just like how she saw love, humility, and a firm, certain choice, while others only saw coercion.

Compromising under duress, and compromising with the one applying the pressure—both were made for a conflicted person like her.

’I want it but can’t say it, so I hope he’ll be more forceful and just give it to me.’

"Wash away the dust, cleanse the sin, guide with mercy, bind with discipline, traverse the endless calamities..."

Scriptures were recited in Jian Yu’s ear—a sign that Si Xu was about to begin.

Offering up prayers, defiling the sacred.

He said this was the ritual for his god to cast off its shackles.

The belt of his tight-fitting attire was undone, and the last layer of clothing was removed.

The air in the room grew thick and heavy.

...

Xi Yu didn’t tell Ling Yanzhi and the others that he had found what he was looking for.

He activated the Positioning Bead just outside the campus.

And then... he was back at Weis Lan Noble Academy.

Xi Yu stared blankly at the gates of Weis Lan Academy.

He frowned. "Still in the academy?"

’If she never left, why couldn’t they find her?’

"What are you spacing out for?" Pei Yin had been waiting for what felt like an eternity and hurried over. "Did you find the exact location?"

He wasn’t like Duan Feiye, who was still searching with all his might as if whoever found her first would win.

Looking at the direction the Positioning Bead was pointing, Pei Yin was completely baffled. "Are you sure it’s over there? Ling Yanzhi and I just came from that direction."

He had given up halfway through his search, choosing instead to wait with Sheng Yue on the main path back to the academy to intercept Xi Yu.

Xi Yu paused, his reaction a little slow. "Where’s Ayan?"

Pei Yin jerked his chin. "He still hasn’t left that area."

Sheng Yue shot past like an afterimage.

"Let’s go." Pei Yin grabbed Xi Yu.

The two of them followed closely behind Sheng Yue, quickly returning to the auditorium.

As they drew closer, the Positioning Bead quickly locked onto the side hall of the auditorium.

Ling Yanzhi heard the jangling and clanking from Pei Yin’s direction and slowly shifted his gaze.

His eyes swept over the wooden-faced Xi Yu and the ice-cold Sheng Yue before moving down to rest on the Positioning Bead.

The blood-red eyeball, belonging to an Alien Beast, was now staring motionlessly at a specific spot.

Pei Yin frowned and said to Sheng Yue, "Isn’t this the place you’ve been most suspicious of lately but could never find a flaw in?"

He flew into the side hall and looked at the surrounding Beast God Statues. "She disappeared here?"

Xi Yu walked over, his eyes scanning the area.

Without looking back, he casually tossed the bead behind him.

Ling Yanzhi’s eyelids drooped as he raised his right hand and caught it with practiced ease.

His gaze lowered as he rubbed the bead, picking at its edge.

Sheng Yue said softly, "Si Xu’s Skills are Purification, Illusion, and Step Ten Thousand Miles."

As he looked up, several Red Snakes slithered out from behind Ling Yanzhi.

Black tentacles crept forward, covering the side hall inch by inch. Xi Yu’s arms hung at his sides, his fingers clenched into fists.

Pei Yin saw the two of them unleashing their ultimate moves while also mentioning Si Xu.

He couldn’t help but retort, "It could be anyone but Si Xu. Si Xu is one hundred percent doomed to celibacy. That guy would never..."

A series of intimate gasps reached Pei Yin’s ears.

He stared, dumbfounded, at the debaucherous scene revealed after the Illusion Realm shattered.

Si Xu’s slender fingers slid down the curve of Jian Yu’s waist, tracing the contours of her body.

There were several deep, fierce bite marks on his collarbone, and a few scratch marks ran across his back, sparking the imagination.

A golden cage descended. Si Xu threw on an outer robe and walked out barefoot.

Sheng Yue stared for a few seconds, then turned and left.

The remaining three instantly became an alliance of victims.

Xi Yu frantically waved his tentacles, brutally attacking Si Xu.

He was too furious to speak, a silent roar in his eyes.

Yang Zhang jumped out and cursed on its master’s behalf, "Cutting in line! You’re cutting in line! You could have come at any time, but you show up in the last two days to cut in line!"

Si Xu dodged. The whip-like tentacle CRACKED against the golden cage, shattering it, but didn’t harm the person inside in the slightest.

He breathed a sigh of relief, a soft chuckle escaping his lips. "You’re finally here."

Pei Yin opened his mouth and started cursing, "You animal! She’s so frail, and you still laid a hand on her! She’s so young, couldn’t you have waited? I can’t even bear to touch her!"

Ting Ying flew overhead, unleashing a piercing Spiritual Attack.

Si Xu’s expression was one of pure indulgence, like an animal freed from its cage.

A shimmering light around his body blocked Ting Ying’s cry.

He belatedly realized he really was the first.

With that thought, Si Xu suddenly stopped dodging and let them vent their anger on him.

The pristine sanctuary of the auditorium was instantly thrown into chaos.

"..."

Ling Yanzhi, who was being insulted indirectly, silently curled his fingers.

Reining in his emotions, he stepped over the shattered bars of the cage and sat on the edge of the bed.

He took Jian Yu’s hand, his thumb stroking the delicate skin of her palm.

"Mm...?"

A cool sensation on her wrist made Jian Yu’s eyelashes flutter as she opened her eyes.

She didn’t know how long she had been unconscious, only that her ears were ringing from the noise.

She turned her head in a daze. Her mind went blank, and her eyes filled with confusion.

Ling Yanzhi looked at her intently, his deep red eyes filled with a deathly, oppressive stillness.

"Have you had your fun?"

He took a dress from his Space Ring and held her, changing her into it.

His movements were clean and efficient, his eyes devoid of any lust or tenderness.

Jian Yu blushed, hesitating to speak, and carefully squeezed his hand in return.

Her gaze drifted blankly for a moment before she finally managed to say, "You were too slow."

Ling Yanzhi’s tone was flat. "You could have run away yourself. I would have just gotten in the way."

Jian Yu froze.

Her voice was soft and cool, with a hint of naive stubbornness. "I was waiting for you."

Ling Yanzhi raised an eyebrow, somewhat placated.

He leaned down, nuzzling her affectionately. "I was wrong."

Jian Yu used Ling Yanzhi’s support to sit up, her eyes turning toward Xi Yu and the others.

Noisy, chaotic, a complete melee.

Pei Yin was throwing punches at Si Xu’s face.

Xi Yu was lashing his body with tentacles.

Si Xu didn’t dodge or evade, laughing with satisfaction.

He was bare-chested, his snow-white skin covered in wounds of varying depths, some so deep they exposed bone.

A bead of blood trickled from the corner of his mouth down to his lip. The wind tousled his messy golden hair, but his glass-like eyes still held the divine nature of a being looking down on all mortals.

Jian Yu wanted to tell them to stop.

Before the words could leave her mouth, Pei Yin had already pulled back.

His voice rose. "So you’ve climbed the ladder just like that? Si Xu, you really have some skills."

Pei Yin said sarcastically, "I wish I were an octopus so I could slap you eight times at once."

After a moment, Pei Yin frowned again.

"Stop hitting him, Xi Yu. This lunatic... I feel like every time you lash him, you’re just making him feel good."
