The crimson Giant Dragon burst through the cloud layer. A deep red Flame Shield enveloped its back, deflecting the high-altitude air currents to keep Han Ning safe.

Deep red particles of Flame, visible to the naked eye, streamed from the gaps between Egg Pancake’s scales. They wreathed its body, making the dragon resemble a colossal, crimson meteor burning through the atmosphere.

The meeting place was in the northwestern part of the Insect Continent, roughly 1,500 kilometers north of Trembling Peak, a place Han Ning had visited before.

The area was rife with active volcanoes and also connected to the Grudge Abyss. According to Cang Yu, the Abyssal Rock Ants raised their Gray Demon Whales inside the Abyss itself, within a secluded, separate region.

Once, a journey of several thousand kilometers would have been an immense distance for Han Ning.

Now that Egg Pancake had broken through to the Lord Level, its flight speed could surpass the speed of sound.

Its maximum flight speed was comparable to that of a jet fighter.

Besides, flying wasn’t even Egg Pancake’s specialty. Han Ning estimated that with a Lord Soul Beast that actually specialized in flight, they could have covered the distance in about an hour.

「A little over two hours later.」

A rolling chain of volcanoes came into view.

On one side of the volcano chain, a deep chasm appeared.

To the right, there was only pitch blackness.

"What’s the situation here?"

"Master," Cang Yu replied, "this is a settlement of the Giant Stone Tribe. They’re a vassal tribe to the Abyssal Rock Ants. The Abyssal Rock Ant Insect Masters agreed to meet with us here. They should be arriving shortly."

Han Ning grunted. "You’ll do the talking," he said. "If anything happens, I’ll contact you via Spiritual Power. Don’t draw attention to me. Understood?"

"Understood."

No sooner had he finished speaking than the soft shuffling of footsteps could be heard approaching.

Two figures, much shorter than the Cyan God Armor members, slowly entered Han Ning’s line of sight.

He could see it was a man and a woman—two Abyssal Rock Ant Insect Masters.

The male was about 1.7 meters tall. Two slender, ant-like antennae sprouted from his head. His wide mouth was filled with sharp fangs, preventing his lips from closing and leaving the deathly-white teeth perpetually exposed.

His pupils were a deep black, as if unfocused.

His body below the neck was about eighty percent similar to a human’s, except for the earthen-yellow armor he carried on his back.

The female Insect-man’s features were comparatively softer; her lips could mostly close. Unlike the male, she had long, pointed ears, somewhat reminiscent of elves from legends. Aside from her prominent chest, she was not vastly different from her male counterpart.

Both wore silken, earthen-yellow clothes, apparently spun from the thread of some kind of silkworm. Embroidered upon the fabric was an ant, its head bowed in thought. The material looked smooth and supple, clearly of high quality.

A massive, ant-like Soul Beast walked beside each of them. The creatures were the size of cheetahs, their bodies covered in fine, brownish-tan fur, and their pupils a deep yellow.

Wherever these two ants passed, the ground beneath their feet rippled like a stone tossed into a calm lake.

A dense concentration of the Earth Element gathered from the ground, flowing into their limbs. An earthen-yellow halo formed between their slender antennae, flickering in and out of existence.
