The once clear and bright sky was suddenly blotted out by thick, dark clouds.

Deep purple Thunderbolts flickered and leaped wildly within them.

The sea began to churn violently. The incessant peals of thunder were deafening.

The thunder cracked.

A blinding flash of lightning lit up the sky.

"Warning! Warning! The Defense Array is being affected by the Subspace storm! Energy reserves are depleting rapidly! Please evacuate the area immediately!" A piercing electronic alarm blared through the brightly lit command room.

Tendrils of purple lightning, visible to the naked eye, swarmed like countless snakes, latching onto the Defense Array and continuously draining the Spiritual Energy that flowed within it.

On closer inspection, these electric serpents weren’t appearing from thin air. Space itself had fractured, forming fissures so fine they were nearly invisible to the naked eye. From these tiny, pitch-black cracks, vast quantities of strange particles spewed forth.

"This is a Subspace storm zone. The storm will interfere with our spatial perception, and according to the information left behind by the Alataku People, it will take the Gray Demon Whale about three months to traverse it," Han Ning reminded everyone, withdrawing his gaze.

Sage, who had been silent until now, sneered. "Leon’s orders are correct. Our only chance of survival is to rely on the navigation chart and carefully navigate around the fissure zones."
