“Why does it suddenly make sense?” Lin Fan thought to himself in a confused manner.

He was certain that he didn’t know how to answer this question before since he had no idea what this question was even about. But now that he was reading the question again, he suddenly found that it started to make sense.

It was as if the holes that had been there before had been patched by something, which linked everything for him.

However, Lin Fan had no idea what it was that had filled in these gaps of knowledge.

The more that Lin Fan thought about it, the more confused he was about all of this.

Only he didn’t let himself dwell on this for too long.

What he was currently taking was a test, so it wasn’t as if he had all the time in the world to think about this. There were still other questions on the test that he had to review.

If he wanted to figure this out, it would have to wait until after the test was over.

But when he reviewed the next question, he found that it was the same as the question that he had just answered.

Lin Fan knew that he didn’t actually have the knowledge to solve these questions, but the answers just seemed to flow into his mind as he looked at the questions. It was clear that there was something about these questions that had changed for the answers to flow like this.

It seemed like there really was some kind of new knowledge that had filled his mind during this time.

Taking a deep breath, Lin Fan went on to finish the entire exam far faster than he had expected. Before the incense could even finish burning halfway, he found that he had answered everything that was there.

While he wasn’t certain that it would all be correct, he knew that this was the best answer that he could give.

In fact, Lin Fan shouldn’t have been able to give these answers in the first place if not for the fact that something had changed.

Since he had free time now, Lin Fan went back to look over the answers to see what had changed.

It was just that he wasn’t able to figure out anything when he reviewed the questions that he had suddenly been able to answer.

Even if there was something that filled the gaps in his knowledge, it wasn’t as if he had awareness of this. It was something that had happened naturally, so it wasn’t as if Lin Fan could tell what was added just by reviewing the answers.

Lin Fan knew this and he could see the time ticking down, so it wasn’t as if there was anything that he could do about this.

Only when he reached the end of the exam, he suddenly noticed something.

He had only looked at it because there was nothing else for him to do, but he felt that there was something different about the last questions. These were the questions that had been asked about mana flow.

It was just that when Lin Fan came to this realization, it was too late.

Before he could make that final link, the test itself suddenly faded away.

It was because time had run out, so the words on the test had faded just like the previous test.

Only this interrupted the thought process that Lin Fan had been in the middle of and he couldn’t help standing up as if he was about to say something. But before he said anything, he could see the way that the fairy looked at him.

So in the end, Lin Fan just sat down with a sigh and waited for the results from the fairy.

Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu both looked at him with doubtful looks as they wondered what had happened, but Lin Fan didn’t say anything as he waited for the results.

The fairy did the same thing where she floated over to reveal the results.

The one that she talked to first was Ye Qing Huan, “Not bad, not bad, it seems like your basic foundation is quite good. There were a few things that you missed, but it’s a pass regardless.”

Ye Qing Huan wasn’t surprised to hear this since she already had an idea of how she had done.

The fairy didn’t mind as she didn’t remain with Ye Qing Huan long either.

When the fairy turned to Lin Fan, she said, “You on the other hand passed with flying colours. I never thought that you would be able to give those kinds of answers, they were even more detailed than this little lady’s.”

She turned to look at Ye Qing Huan when she said this, but she didn’t get the reaction that she wanted from Ye Qing Huan.

Instead of looking frustrated by these words, it seemed like Ye Qing Huan was looking at Lin Fan with a proud look. After all, this was her man, so it wasn’t as if it was a bad thing for him to surpass her.

Though there was a curious look in her eyes as she looked at him.

Ye Qing Huan didn’t know that there was this side to Lin Fan, which was why she was confused like this.

But it wasn’t as if Lin Fan knew that there was this side to him to begin with.

If it wasn’t for the clues at the very end, then he wouldn’t have even known what it was that gave him the inspiration at the very end.

Right now, the only thing that Lin Fan wanted was another look at the same test as before. Or he might even settle for a test that was similar to the test that he had just taken.

Seeing that there was no reaction from them, it was as if the fairy lost interest in trying to sow the seeds of discord.

Instead, the fairy just said, “Do you want to take the next trial?”

Before this, the fairy didn’t even ask them if they wanted to take the next trial.

That was because she already knew that they would want to with the level that they had demonstrated. The first test really was just too easy for them, so it wasn’t as if they had demonstrated what they were capable of.

But this test was different since it was at the level that they demonstrated previously.

As for the next test, it was at a level that was higher than their own.

So if they were to take this test, it was likely that it would have harmed them rather than help them. After all, too much knowledge could be considered a curse rather than a blessing.

However, it wasn’t as if it was the place of the fairy to actually stop them if they wanted to take this test. Which was why the fairy was now giving them the option on whether they wanted to take it or not.

Surprisingly, Ye Qing Huan declined this opportunity.

“I’ve already reached my limit, so I know when to stop.”

Hearing this, the fairy couldn’t help giving a nod of approval.

After all, she was thinking the same thing since she knew what answers Ye Qing Huan had given.

In the end, Lin Fan decided that he would take this next test.

There was something that was eating away at him from the back of his mind and if he didn’t settle this matter, he really wouldn’t be able to think straight.

So the only thing that he could do was accept and hope that the test would answer this question in his mind.

Seeing that Lin Fan was planning to take the next test, the fairy didn’t say anything as she just waved her hand once more. After waving her hand, the door to the staircase opened up and she started floating up without a word.

Lin Fan followed behind her and the other two followed behind him.

Once they were on the third floor, they found that it was the same as before.

None of them were surprised by this since they were already used to the design of this place.

Instead, Lin Fan just sat down at his table without a word and waited for the test to come.

The fairy didn’t hand out the test right away and instead created a table on the side for Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu. It seemed like the fairy was doing what she could to make sure that the test environment was perfect for Lin Fan.

Since that was the case, it wasn’t as if Ye Qing Huan or Xiao Mu would go against that.

Once they sat down at the table, that was when the fairy finally handed out the test paper.

Lin Fan just waited for the incense to be lit before suddenly turning the test paper around.

One might think that this was a crazy thing to start the test from the back, but there was something that Lin Fan had to verify. Though as he was flipping to the back, he did make sure to take a look at some of the questions in the middle.

Once he reached the back, he started answering those questions without any problem at all since those questions were about mana once more.

He had the understanding that came from a max level skill granted by a god, so it was easy for him to give the answer to these questions.

After he was done, he turned the page back and started on the other questions.
