With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1470: They already linked it

As soon as he read that first question, he couldn’t help falling into a daze.

After all, what he had been suspecting was confirmed the moment that he read this question.

Once this was confirmed, there were more questions that suddenly filled his heart that he wanted to ask the fairy.

However, Lin Fan calmed himself down in the end since he knew that the fairy wouldn’t answer him even if he were to ask the questions. So the only thing that he could do now was focus on the links between spiritual energy and mana.

That was the reason why he had been suddenly able to answer the questions.

But it didn’t seem to make sense at all.

The questions themselves were actually what had led him to make this connection.

Only for these questions to be able to do that, it meant that they had already been designed by someone that had made this connection. It meant that in the first place, the Dao Sect had already found a way to connect spiritual energy and mana.

If that was the case, why did the Highoak Family’s ancestor struggle?

In the secret room that Lin Fan found, he had seen the records of them figuring out how to convert their techniques to run on mana instead of spiritual energy. Which was why he knew that they had struggled when they first arrived on the magic continent.

But now it seemed like the Dao Sect had already long made this connection.

With everything that Lin Fan had encountered so far in the Dao Sect, all of the clues pointed to the Dao Sect long having spread their grasps onto the other continents. They had brought back many different things that they made their own.

Putting that aside, Lin Fan focused on the questions that he answered.

With the questions on mana filling the gap, he was able to understand things that he didn’t before.

These questions were all valuable to him in terms of theory, so it would be a waste if he didn’t answer them now.

Which was why Lin Fan just threw all other thoughts out of his mind and focused on the questions in front of him.

With his understanding of mana, he was able to figure out all kinds of different things.

As he answered the questions, Lin Fan realized that he had been looking at spiritual energy all wrong.

He had been following the cultivation techniques that he had been provided, but he had never actually seen the essence of them. He had only seen the superficial side of them that the other cultivators left behind.

The essence was that it was a method to control energy, which was what mana techniques were as well.

“The concentration, that’s the difference.”

Spiritual energy had a different concentration where it was centered around the dantian. So that was why spiritual energy had something that was almost like a dense core that it gathered around.

It was forced to compress around that core, just like how it was forced to gather in the dantian.

Mana had a concentration where it was more spread out evenly since mana was something that existed all over the world. It was drawn on when magicians used magic and drawn into the body to spread evenly when knights empowered themselves.

That was why it was evenly spread out even when it was concentrated.

“If you don’t take this into account, it’s only natural that you wouldn’t be able to use the techniques to control the other form of energy.”

Only as he was realizing this, Lin Fan also realized that there was something else that he could do.

The forms of energy inside of him were pure forms of energy that didn’t really conform to either of this.

“It could be said that this is the fundamental form of all energy in this world.”

Since it was the fundamental form of energy, that meant that it should be a universal form of energy.

Lin Fan had already finished the test, so it wasn’t as if there was anything else for him to do.

Which was why he started focusing on the black holes inside of his dantian.

The void energy that was released by the black holes was also a form of pure energy, which meant that it should fall under the same umbrella of energy that could be controlled.

Lin Fan could already control the void energy to a certain extent, but that was still limited. After all, he was only able to use the void energy for simple matters and wasn’t able to control it for complex things.

If he was able to use the void energy in the same way that he used spiritual energy, then it was a completely different matter.

As he focused on the void energy, he found that it did listen to him more.

He found that there was this flow that the void energy wanted to follow, one that was better than forcing it the way that he wanted it to go. But it wasn’t as if this flow only went in one direction.

This was the preferred movement in all directions, which meant that it wasn’t as if he would be restricted by this flow.

However, this wasn’t what Lin Fan wanted to see.

After a moment of pause, he suddenly found it.

The property of the void energy was different from any other form of energy that he had encountered before.

“This level of condensation is crazy…”

Once he got into it, he couldn’t help being afraid of how condensed the void energy was.

There was a part of him that already knew this since he had his knowledge from his past life on what black holes were. It was just that this was on a completely different level from what he had expected.

It was to the point that he was amazed that such a thing even existed inside of him.

It really felt like it should have ripped him apart from the inside out with how special it was.

But this also allowed him to understand how he would manipulate the void energy.

Taking a deep breath, Lin Fan found that he was now able to control the void energy the same way that he controlled his spiritual energy. Though in terms of precision, he definitely wasn’t as skilled just yet.

It still took him a bit of effort to move it the way that he wanted.

“Stop.”

Lin Fan had been completely focused on the void energy inside of him that he hadn’t noticed what was happening around him.

When he heard this voice, he looked around to find that there was something strange about his surroundings. It was as if there was a layer of something that was around him, but he couldn’t tell exactly what it was.

The only thing that Lin Fan could tell was that this barrier wasn’t to keep him safe, but rather to contain him. It seemed like it had been put up to stop him from affecting his surroundings.

As for why it was put up…

“There’s a layer missing…”

Lin Fan couldn’t see it at first, but it didn’t take him long to find that there was indeed a small layer that had disappeared from the things that he had been in contact with.

It wasn’t hard for him to tell that this was caused by the void energy that he had been experimenting with.

Without meaning to, he had accidentally released it around himself and had caused this mess.

“If you hadn’t snapped out of it, I really wouldn’t have had a choice but to throw you out.” The fairy didn’t hold back at all when she said this.

Lin Fan didn’t mind it since he knew that she was just doing her job.

Not to mention that if she had been ’serious’ about this, he would have been thrown out the moment that the void energy was released around him.

The one thing that he had to do was take another look at this barrier around him.

After all, he could tell that his void energy didn’t have any effect on this barrier.

With how it worked, it was almost as if this barrier was something that was designed to stop the void energy.

Something like this would be good to know about, especially since it countered his greatest trump card. If someone were to use this against him in the future, then he would be helpless against it.

Though when he looked at the fairy as if he was asking about it, she didn’t say anything.

She just took down the barrier without a word and acted like the barrier had never been there.

Seeing this, there wasn’t anything that Lin Fan could do about it.

It was just like everything else that the fairy knew.

If she didn’t want to tell him, then there wasn’t anything that he could do about it.

But there was one thing that she did tell him.

“You passed.”

There was no build up or anything, the fairy just directly told Lin Fan that he had passed the test.

Once that happened, the surroundings changed.

When they came up to this third floor, they hadn’t felt anything from the books around them. It was as if there wasn’t anything special about this place with how little they felt.

But both Lin Fan and Ye Qing Huan knew that this was because there was something blocking the aura of these books.

Now that he had passed the test, Lin Fan could feel the true aura of these books.
