Chapter 175: Chapter 175: Concocting Potions
"Alright then. What do you need to prepare for your breakthrough?"
Rote looked at Andre and spoke. Since Lord Klein, the newly promoted Red Sun Great Wizard, had given an order, they had to do it.
They had no choice!
If they didn’t, a mere shift in Klein’s attitude would be enough to annihilate their families. Even Rote’s Morning Star Clan would be unable to resist.
"I don’t need to prepare anything. I already have everything I need. Now, I’ll have to trouble you to find a suitable power to attack."
Andre took a deep breath, finished speaking, and stood up.
"In that case, leave it to us!"
Sander and Piedra said after exchanging a look with Andre.
At that moment, the two of them completely extinguished any petty thoughts they had and obediently lowered their heads.
"I’m counting on you!" With that, Andre turned and left, taking a portion of the Magic Plants he’d acquired from the Magic Plant Island before he went.
He then boarded the Morning Sky and flew off to parts unknown.
Rote, Jessica, and the others watched Andre go without another word.
After all, no one wanted any accidents during a breakthrough. It was only normal to find a quiet place to do it.
After all, one could never be too careful.
Even though they were all part of the same Expedition Squad, when it came to something as critical as a breakthrough, one had to take precautions. If the roles were reversed, they would do the same thing.
"What a headache. This is a real headache."
After Andre left, the five of them—Rote, Jessica, Karina, Sander, and Piedra—had helpless and pained expressions on their faces.
Faced with this sudden turn of events, they were utterly helpless. They had neither the right to resist nor the right to refuse.
They had to carry out the task assigned by a Level 6 Wizard, even knowing that Andre was just dumping what should have been his own responsibility onto them.
After all, the instructions came from a Red Sun Great Wizard.
When dealing with a figure of that caliber, you might get no credit for doing the job, but you would definitely be blamed for not doing it.
"Let’s talk it over," Piedra and Sander said.
With Andre gone, the two of them were now the strongest fighters present.
It was only natural that they would have to lead the attack on the Multi-Body Tribe.
They really didn’t want to do this task that had been forced upon them.
But there was nothing they could do. The circumstances were beyond their control—so far beyond it was ridiculous, almost despairing. They had no choice but to obey.
While Rote, Jessica, Piedra, and Sander were discussing their plans, Andre was on the Morning Sky, beginning his own preparations.
First, he picked the Azure Sky Fruits from the Azure Sky Fruit Tree.
The Azure Sky Fruits were ripe, perfect for making the Potions he required.
Next was the Tidal Sea Eel. Its Bone Blood could be used to create Potions, so he couldn’t pass it up.
He was attempting a breakthrough; naturally, he had to perfect every single step of the process.
Then there was the mysterious giant tree.
Andre entered the Secret Realm. He saw that the Magic Plants were growing much more vigorously since the giant tree’s arrival, and broke off one of its branches.
Then, he took out the branch from the Cyan Spirit Tree that Farrete had given him, ready to prepare his Potions.
’Strengthen my Soul to withstand the impact of the Truth’s information from the System.’
’Fortify my body to resist the corrosive nature of Chaos Magic Power.’
’Use this branch, which contains the Power of Life, to introduce a breath of life into my Chaos Magic Power.’
’The branch of the Cyan Spirit Tree will unlock wisdom, allowing me to plan and unify everything.’
Andre took out a new notebook and listed, one by one, the Potions he would need to concoct for his breakthrough.
Then, he began taking out the various items he needed and started concocting the Potions.
First came a grinder, a pulverizer, a juicer, an extractor, and a Refining Furnace.
He also pulled out a Drug Purification Device, a set he had spent a fortune on after becoming a potion shop owner.
The Drug Purification Device could further purify already refined and extracted liquids, maximizing their medicinal efficacy.
If it weren’t for the fact that this concerned his breakthrough—and at such a critical juncture where he needed to create a breath of life within his Chaos Magic Power...
...he would never have been willing to use such a precious piece of equipment.
Each use of this equipment cost hundreds of Magic Stones—Medium Magic Stones, at that.
Furthermore, after just ten uses, the entire Drug Purification Device would be useless and would need to be replaced.
Andre placed the Drug Purification Device in a corner of the Central Control Room.
Next, he retrieved over ten Tidal Sea Eels from the Racial Nest and threw them on the floor, leaving them to writhe about.
He then took out a wooden board and hammered a nail into one side. He pinned the head of a Tidal Sea Eel to the nail, and with a single slice of his knife, removed its spine.
A faint blue blood coated the spine. This was the Bone Blood that Andre needed.
It was this unique blood that made the Tidal Sea Eel so special.
Next, Andre cut a freshly picked Azure Sky Fruit in half. He sniffed it, then took a small bite to confirm it was fine.
Andre tossed the Azure Sky Fruit into the juicer.
This time, he intended to utilize the Azure Sky Fruit’s secondary function: creating a Potion to strengthen his Soul.
While the Azure Sky Fruit was being juiced, Andre inserted Magic Stones to start up the Drug Purification Device. Then, he took out the Magic Plants he had obtained from the Magic Plant Island and began selecting them according to the Potion’s recipe.
’Wisdom Spirit Grass, Light Recognition Grass, Brain-Eating Flower, Cyan Spirit Fruit... and then the Brain Fruit...’
Andre picked a few of the Brain Fruits he’d obtained from Secret Realm No. 1 and set them aside for the Potion.
’What else am I missing?’
Andre looked at the recipe, repeatedly comparing it with the ingredients he had laid out. When he was done, he nodded.
The Potion he was making this time was called the Wisdom-Opening Potion, an ancient recipe.
However, because it required Azure Sky Fruit, the recipe was rarely used.
But the one thing Andre didn’t lack was Azure Sky Fruit, which was why he had chosen this recipe as a support Potion for his breakthrough.
’Extract the juice, then pulverize the residue. Can’t waste any of its potency.’
Andre placed the extracted Azure Sky Juice into the Refining Furnace to begin purification. At the same time, he took the leftover pulp and began grinding it into a powder.
After that, Andre continued processing the Tidal Sea Eels. He slaughtered ten of them, but obtained less than half a test tube of Bone Blood.
