Chapter 185: Chapter 185: Power and Realm

"Perhaps the problem is with us."

Piedra’s expression was grim, his eyes darting back and forth. Finally, he let out a helpless sigh.

"With us? How is that possible?"

Jessica was skeptical. What kind of problem could they have?

"Maybe the problem really is with us!"

Sander nodded, agreeing with Piedra’s assessment.

"What are you two thinking?" Rote frowned. He already had a general idea of what Sander meant.

"The Divine Remains that ended up in this world... the Divine Spirit they belonged to was already dead before entering this plane."

"And because of that, the Multi-Body Race who inherited its Bloodline didn’t actually gain as much Power as we initially thought. The Power they obtained is very little."

Piedra began to explain to Jessica.

"Although they inherited this Divine Bloodline, the Divine Spirit was already dead. On top of that, it was drained dry by the world."

"Under these circumstances, even though the Multi-Body Race of this world inherited the Divine Spirit’s Bloodline, the lack of Power meant they only received a sliver of its essence—the essence of the Bloodline Power itself."

"It is this sliver of essence that allowed them to grow to a level equivalent to Level 2 or Level 3 Wizards. But they are missing the corresponding Power."

"This means the Multi-Body Race possesses the Realm but not the commensurate Power. Naturally, they can’t fully unleash the Power their Realm should command."

"That’s why the six of us were able to destroy an entire nation with ease."

Once Piedra finished his explanation, the others completely understood.

They were, after all, familiar with other versions of this phenomenon.

In the Pantheon World Group, the Bottomless Abyss, and Hell, there were people just like this.

For example, the so-called God of Gardening, Flower God, Tree God, Knowledge Demon, and Devil Merchant.

Their Realms were all very high, but due to their specific domains, they had very little combat strength when facing experts of the same Realm.

When war broke out, these were the types to die first.

To experts of the same Level, they were rich and weak.

And now, it seemed the Multi-Body Race of this world was the same.

"So, you’re saying the few of us can conquer this entire Otherworld on our own?"

A trace of excitement colored Karina’s tone.

"...Conquer it completely? What are you thinking?"

Andre immediately threw a bucket of cold water on Karina’s idea.

"Have you even considered how many of the Multi-Body Race there are in this world? Even if they lack Power because of their Bloodline."

"With their sheer numbers, they could bury you alive."

Andre’s words instantly extinguished those thoughts in Karina’s mind.

"So, does this mean we still have to wait for the Second Expeditionary Corps, or maybe the Third, to arrive before we can conquer this world?"

Jessica rubbed her temples, looking at Andre as she asked.

"More or less. But if we’re willing to pay the price, we don’t have to wait for them."

Andre thought for a moment, then looked at Jessica’s projection and said.

"Pay the price? Are you talking about using the War Witchcraft Artifacts on the Star Realm Battleship?"

Piedra instantly understood what Andre meant.

Andre nodded, his expression undeniable.

"No. Using the Power of the War Witchcraft Artifacts could easily awaken the world consciousness. Once that happens, we’ll be suppressed and lose a portion of our Power."

"If that happens, we’ll be on the same level as the Multi-Body Race."

As a veteran of two expeditions, Piedra immediately shot down Andre’s idea.

"That’s why I said, *if* we’re willing to pay the price, we don’t have to wait for them."

Andre said with a shrug.

"If only there were another way."

A flicker of frustration crossed Sander’s eyes.

"Poison could certainly kill a lot of them."

Andre brought up poison again, only to immediately dismiss the idea himself.

"Poison is something you can only use once. The second time, they’ll definitely be prepared for it. So, if we’re going to use poison, it has to be a decisive blow. We can’t use it lightly."

"...That’s the same as saying nothing at all." Jessica rolled her eyes at Andre.

"Well, do you have any better ideas?" Andre asked, raising an eyebrow as he looked at Jessica.

Jessica instantly shut her mouth. She really didn’t have any good ideas.

"I have another idea."

Andre blinked, having come up with yet another plan.

"Where do you get so many ideas?" Rote looked at Andre, his eyes full of deep resignation.

"It’s not another one-shot method like the poison, is it?"

Rote’s tone carried a hint of suspicion.

"Not at all. This method is much easier than poison, but it’s also far more expensive."

After Andre spoke, Sander and Piedra instantly knew what method he was talking about.

"You’re not suggesting we use Witchcraft Scrolls, are you?"

"Witchcraft Scrolls? What are those?"

Karina blinked, completely bewildered.

"A so-called Witchcraft Scroll is a piece of special paper or animal hide inscribed with a Witchcraft in the form of Demon Runes."

"To use it, you just need to infuse it with Chaos Magic Power or tear the Scroll to activate the Witchcraft."

"These Scrolls were popular for a while when they were first invented because they’re so convenient to use."

"But later, as the materials for higher-Level Witchcraft Scrolls became more and more precious, their circulation gradually dwindled. Currently, they’re mainly used by Wizard Apprentices and Level 1 Wizards."

Piedra explained the origin of Witchcraft Scrolls to Karina.

"If we want to use Witchcraft Scrolls to conquer this Otherworld, we’d need at least a thousand of them. And they’d have to be Scrolls sealed with Level 3 Witchcraft."

"Level 3 Witchcraft? We don’t have a single Level 3 Wizard here. How could we possibly create such Scrolls?"

"Can we make up for the lack of quality with quantity?" Rote asked.

"You can forget about that. As Realms advance, the difference in effect between Witchcraft just one Level apart is night and day."

"The effect of a single Level 3 Witchcraft Scroll might require hundreds of Level 2 Witchcraft spells to replicate."

"A thousand Level 3 Witchcraft Scrolls would mean over a hundred thousand Level 2 Witchcraft Scrolls. Not even the academy could bear such an expense."

"It’s simply too wasteful. The materials needed to make over a hundred thousand Level 2 Witchcraft Scrolls could be used to create thousands of Magic Potions and hundreds of Witchcraft Artifacts."

"Witchcraft Artifacts can be passed down and used repeatedly, but once a Scroll is used, it’s gone for good."
