Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth

Chapter 214: A Terrible Situation

Chapter 214: Chapter 214: A Terrible Situation

THUD! THUD! The intense pain made the giant snakes shriek endlessly.

But a moment later, their eyes glinted murderously as they all surged toward Andre.

’Fly down!’ Andre immediately dove downward.

It was too dark inside the Tomb of the Giant Elephant for him to immediately count how many giant snakes there were.

Just then, two more giant beasts burst out from the bloody mire on the ground.

These giant snakes were different from those higher up in the Tomb of the Giant Elephant; they were identical to the two-headed giant pythons that the Giant Elephants had trampled to death outside.

’They’re symbiotic... This is getting really troublesome.’

Andre’s expression was incredibly grim.

"Why haven’t these things eaten the young elephants?"

Karina asked, flipping to dodge a pouncing giant python as she looked at Andre.

"How should I know? The most important thing right now is to kill them. Get back and give me some space."

Andre said, looking at Karina.

Karina nodded. She immediately cast several layers of Witchcraft on herself to increase her Speed, helping her avoid being harmed by the giant snakes.

The moment Andre told her to get back, she knew he was about to go all out.

Once Karina was clear, Andre immediately pulled a large number of Witchcraft Scrolls from his Storage Ring. He then activated a Level 1 Witchcraft, the Hand of Multiple Telekinesis, to tear them all open.

Instantly, a vast wave of Magic Power erupted within the Tomb of the Giant Elephant.

As the Witchcraft Scrolls tore apart, a torrent of Witchcraft spells slammed into the giant snakes, blasting those clinging to the rock walls and sending them plummeting to the ground.

"HISS, HISS, HISS!" As the giant snakes crashed into the bloody mire, even more two-headed giant pythons emerged from its depths. Their four vertical pupils stared intently at Andre.

"Ugh!" Karina shivered as she looked into the giant snakes’ pupils.

There was no emotion in the giant snakes’ eyes—only an endless, icy cold and murderous intent.

Meanwhile, Andre was still pulling out one Witchcraft Scroll after another, using them to bombard the giant snakes.

’There wasn’t enough time,’ he thought. ’The Ten Thousand Laws Wheel hasn’t been reforged with new Demon Patterns. These Witchcraft Scrolls are only Level 0 and Level 1.’

Despite the massive explosions, Andre’s expression showed no sign of relief. Instead, he stared intently at the giant snakes he had just blasted down from the walls.

He could kill any number of the snakes that were equivalent to a Level 1 Wizard.

But among them were quite a few equivalent to Level 2 Wizards.

So, he had to deal with those ones first.

However, even the giant snakes equivalent to Level 1 Wizards were no pushovers.

Their fangs and venom could harm even a Level 2 Wizard like him.

This created a terrible situation, leaving Andre feeling stretched thin and unable to cope with all the threats. He hated this feeling of being overwhelmed.

’It seems the only way out is to kill all these giant snakes. There’s no other way.’

Dodging the giant beasts that swarmed him from all sides, Andre pulled a sword from his Storage Ring.

It was the same Splitting Heavy Sword Andre had brought out earlier.

’To kill these giant snakes quickly, I first need a suitable weapon.’

’And the most suitable weapon I have right now—the best thing for dealing with these giant snakes—is this Splitting Heavy Sword.’

Unlike the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel, which could produce all kinds of Witchcraft...

...the Splitting Heavy Sword currently had only one function: extreme sharpness.

And that was exactly what Andre needed!

’These giant snakes might be able to resist the bombardment from the Witchcraft Scrolls with their scales, but there’s no way they can withstand the sharpness of the Splitting Heavy Sword.’

’Let’s give it a try.’ Andre took a deep breath. His body began to grow, quickly reaching a height of 2.5 meters.

It wasn’t that Andre couldn’t grow even taller, but this height was the perfect match for the Splitting Heavy Sword in his hand.

Andre then recalled the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel. His entire body transformed into a bolt of lightning, flashing nonstop throughout the Tomb of the Giant Elephant.

This was the first time he had truly unleashed his full power. He activated the Sharpness Technique on the Splitting Heavy Sword. As he moved at incredible speeds, the sword became a streak of golden light, there and gone in an instant.

Each time the golden light vanished, a snake’s head would fall into the bloody mire.

At the same time, the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel in Andre’s hand spun ceaselessly, periodically firing off a Level 2 Witchcraft spell to blast the giant snakes.

Just as Andre was joyfully hacking and blasting the giant snakes with his Splitting Heavy Sword and the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel, the claw-bellied snakes gathered together and let out a ferocious cry directed at him.

Andre felt as if he had been dealt a heavy blow, and his body began to plummet from the air.

Just then, a two-headed giant python surfaced from the bloody mire. Seeing the falling Andre, it opened its massive maw, ready to swallow him whole.

But at that moment, Karina flew over and caught him.

"You’re so heavy!" Karina’s face was grim as she caught Andre. She was straining with all her might, even gritting her teeth!

Just then, Andre came to his senses and shook his head.

"Be careful!" Andre said to Karina, brandishing his Splitting Heavy Sword.

"What is it?" Karina asked, looking at Andre in confusion.

Andre immediately flew free from her grasp.

"Those clawed giant snakes... their roar is a Level 1 Witchcraft, Soul Roar. It can directly attack our souls."

"I wasn’t paying attention just now and got hit."

"Luckily, my Soul is quite powerful. If that had happened to anyone else, they would have been killed by the snakes’ roar."

As Andre spoke, he felt a wave of relief.

’Luckily, when my Bloodline was enhanced, my Soul was fortified by its power, making it much stronger.’

’Otherwise, the combined roar of those snakes might have literally made my head explode.’

’Soul-type Magical Beasts... This kind of Magical Beast is extremely rare.’

A flash of greed flickered in Karina’s eyes, but it vanished just as quickly.

’Right now, they weren’t the ones in control of the situation; the giant snakes were.’

’Even though Andre had just killed four or five of the giant snakes with his Splitting Heavy Sword...’

’...more and more were emerging from the rock walls and the bloody mire, their eyes fixed on the two of them.’

Worse still, the giant snakes could also spit venom or attack them with the Fireball and Ice Ball Techniques.

’Damn it,’ Andre cursed inwardly. ’Don’t tell me these giant snakes have turned the Tomb of the Giant Elephant into their nesting ground!’

Andre took to the air again, relentlessly attacking the giant snakes.

But no matter how he attacked, the giant snakes seemed endless.

More kept emerging from the cliff walls and the bloody mire, joining the swarm that besieged him.
