The Book of Truth, a world-class secret treasure, one of the most precious treasures in the entire Wizard Plane.
Albert’s right hand rested on the cover, his fingertips flickering with a faint light.
It wasn’t him urging the Book of Truth, but the Book of Truth conveying information to him.
Every second, countless pieces of knowledge gathered from every corner of the Wizard Plane, recorded, sorted, and classified by the Book of Truth.
Among that knowledge, some complemented existing theories, some verified ancient traditions, some were entirely new discoveries, and some were useless junk.
The Book of Truth does not filter; it merely records.
What truly needs filtering is Albert.
His gaze fell on a point in the void, his pupils slightly moving as if flipping through an invisible book.
The gathered knowledge swiftly flowed through his consciousness, most of which he skimmed over with just a glance.
It wasn’t that they weren’t good, but because he had lived too long and seen too much.
Those so-called new discoveries often were just things the ancients had already discarded.
Then he paused.
His finger lightly tapped the cover of the Book of Truth.
In the void, a paper unfolded, the complete implementation plan for the automatic meditation feature of the White Mist Forest Potion.
Author, Duke, Black Sail, Level 1 Arcanist, Level 2 Mage.
Albert read it very slowly. Not because he couldn’t understand it, but because he was savoring it.
Every word of this paper revealed a certain quality, not the flamboyance of genius, but something simpler, practical.
The author did not care how beautiful the theory was, nor how grand the system was, he just wanted to solve a problem, in the simplest, most direct, and most effective way.
"White Mist Forest..." Albert softly recited the name.
A Level 1 Meditation auxiliary potion, a very common thing.
But this plan was not ordinary.
Automatic meditation, during the period of the potion’s effect, one can automatically enter a meditative state, without actively operating the Meditation Technique, without expending Spiritual Power for guidance.
This means that a Level 1 Mage can continuously grow Spiritual Power, whether in battle, on the road, or even while sleeping.
Albert’s lips slightly curled up.
He had seen countless geniuses, countless exquisite Magic Models, countless astonishing theories.
But those things were mostly showpieces by geniuses that ordinary people could not learn or use.
But this plan was different; it was practical, very approachable, and as long as one followed the steps, they could succeed.
"Interesting little fellow," Albert softly said.
He closed the Book of Truth, those calm as lake eyes looking into the distance.
Outside the window of the Six-Ring Tower was the outline of the entire Central Islands, the endless sea, and horizon.
He had been sitting here watching for countless ages and would continue to watch in the future.
Duke, Albert noted the name of this little fellow in his mind.
Albert placed the Book of Truth on his lap and closed his eyes.
The knowledge that gathered continued to flow through his consciousness, he continued to flip through, continue to filter, and continued to wait for the next person who would make him stop.
Outside the window, the glow of Sky City shifted from silver-blue to pearl-white, a new day was beginning.
And this elder was still sitting on that simple stone chair, as if he had never moved.
...
Half a month later.
Over the past fortnight, aside from studying, meditating, and spending time in the library, Duke was practicing the cultivation of the Elemental Holy Body.
The herbs brought back from the Broken Land, each with extraordinary origins, but at the time, he wasn’t sure what they were, what they were used for, or what kind of growth environment they required.
After going through a vast amount of literature on rare plants, plane species, and ancient herbs, he finally identified each of those ten herbs.
Apart from the three he recognized, the remaining seven each surprised him.
The plant resembling a crystal lotus was named Star Tear Lotus, that only grows in the Land of Meteorite in the High Plane, said to appear where meteors fall, its flowering period is only one night, and the petals wither before dawn, but if harvested before withering and transplanted to an environment rich in Life Energy, it can survive.
The entirely black plant was called Shadow Vine, naturally antagonistic to Light Attribute plants, needing to be planted in a place where sunlight doesn’t reach, the poorer the soil, the better, and the darker, the more lush it grows.
The leafless stalk bearing luminous fruit was called Star Fruit, the fruit containing pure Star Power, which is the core material for refining Level 3 mental type Magic Potions.
Duke transplanted each herb to a more suitable location based on the information he found.
The Star Tear Lotus likes shade and moisture, so he moved it to a rock crevice upstream of the Spring of Life that is perpetually shrouded in water mist.
The Shadow Vine likes darkness, so he planted it on the shaded side of a small hill at the edge of the Divine Court, where the soil is poor, and not even weeds grow.
The Star Fruit needs ample starlight, so he planted it in an open area in the center of the Divine Court, allowing it to gaze upon the simulated starry sky.
As for the other herbs, based on their properties, he chose different locations around the Spring of Life.
But ultimately, the Spring of Life itself is the best environment.
No matter where the herbs are planted, their roots will extend toward the spring, absorbing the rich Life Energy.
Duke observed for a few days, ensuring that they were healthy and growing well before he was reassured.
This afternoon, Duke’s Arcanist badge received a notification from the Arcane Master Association.
Arcane Master Association Review Notification
Result Name: Complete Implementation Plan for the Automatic Meditation Feature of the White Mist Forest Potion
Review Result: Approved
Arcanist Points: 3000 points
Current Total Points: 3330 points
Historical Total Points: 3480 points
Current Level: Level 1 Arcanist (Eligible to apply for promotion to Level 2)
The weight of this paper was heftier than Duke anticipated.
He knew that the concept of automatic meditation would attract attention, but he didn’t expect such a high evaluation from the Arcane Master Association.
Three thousand points mean that those review committee members believe that the value of this plan far exceeds that of a regular paper.
Promotion to Level 3 Arcanist requires only ten thousand Arcanist points; this single research outcome directly provided three thousand Arcanist points, far exceeding Duke’s expectations.
On the light screen of the Arcanist badge, there was also a line of small text from the Arcane Master Association: would you like to list this result in the public catalog for other Arcanists to browse with points?
If he chooses yes, any Arcanist can read his paper and learn the implementation plan for automatic meditation by paying sufficient points.
A portion of the points’ revenue would belong to him, mainly for earning Arcanist points.
But Duke wouldn’t do that; his purpose was to make money, not to earn Arcanist points.
Without hesitation, Duke chose no.
Points can be earned later, but the opportunity for automatic meditation won’t come again if missed.
What he needed was Magic Stones, a large number of Magic Stones, to buy Energy Wells and to practice the Elemental Holy Body.
Though Arcanist points can also be exchanged for resources, most of those resources are rare materials and high-level knowledge, none of which he currently needs most.
Besides the catalog, the Arcane Master Association has another channel, which is the Arcane Mage Monthly.
Each month, the association compiles important results approved during the month into the Monthly and sends it to major powers, Commerce Associations, and families.
The higher-ups of those major powers would browse this Monthly every month, looking for valuable technologies and cooperation opportunities.
Rather than locking the paper in the catalog awaiting readers, it’s better to let the entire Wizard Plane know through the Monthly.
The faster the news spreads, the more people there will be to negotiate collaborations with.
Additionally, the Arcane Master Association can also arrange a launch event.
They can invite representatives from various powers to witness the effects of automatic meditation firsthand.
Seeing is believing, and nothing is as persuasive as witnessing it firsthand.
Duke glanced at the sky outside; it was still early, so a visit to the headquarters of the Arcane Master Association was still manageable.
He stood up, tidied his Magic Robe, and headed out the door.
