Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree
Chapter 961 - 823: Magic Potion AcquiredWilkinson heard footsteps and turned around, a broad, unrestrained smile spreading across his deeply wrinkled old face.
Like an old craftsman who has just completed a work worthy of boasting for a lifetime, eager to show it off.
"Just in time." Wilkinson put down the dropper, even forgetting to return it to the stand, and instead placed it horizontally on the mouth of the beaker, beckoning to Duke, his movements carrying a child-like eagerness, "Just completed the final process, the timing for aging is just right, the finish is even more beautiful than I anticipated, come and see for yourself."
He turned and walked to the right side of the workbench, where at some unknown time a small display table covered with black velvet had appeared. Three rows of slender Crystal Potion Bottles were arranged on the table in sequence, each row containing a different number of bottles, reflecting three distinctly different gleams under the warm yellow light of the Magic Lamp.
The entire display table was shrouded in a transparent isolation field, with extremely fine runic patterns circulating on the surface. It was a protective layer set up temporarily by Wilkinson to prevent the finished Magic Potions from being contaminated by external Spiritual Power during the display, which is also the highest courtesy a Magic Potion Master can offer to his proud work.
Duke walked to the display table, his gaze sweeping from left to right over the three rows of potions.
The first row contained two, the potion a deep dark blue, not a motionless liquid, but like two small clusters of nebula sealed within the Crystal Bottle.
Countless silvery-white specks of light slowly rotated within the dark blue liquid, linked by silver threads as fine as gossamer, forming a self-perpetuating spiral structure.
Each rotation cycle was about three breaths, and when it reached a certain angle, all the specks of light inside the bottle would flash simultaneously, like a constellation breathing.
This is the Star Sea Sheltering Dew, a Magic Potion for protecting the Spiritual Sea.
Wilkinson had marked a small card beside it, written in a neat, almost rigid script: "Star Sea Sheltering Dew, three bottles, one removed due to slight instability in potion structure from Starlight Sand’s activity fluctuation during the refining stage."
The second row contained three bottles, the potion exhibiting an extremely peculiar translucent gradient color.
The bottom third of the bottle was a deep indigo, the middle third was colorless and transparent, and the top third was a very pale golden orange. The transition between these three colors was not smooth but instead displayed intertwined streaks like an aurora.
Most peculiarly, these three colors would slowly shift with the change in observation angle.
From the front, indigo was rising, from the side, golden orange was descending, each movement accompanied by a delicate halo expanding at the color boundaries.
This is the Pupil of the Rule Horizon, a Magic Potion to enhance Rule Enlightenment capability.
Through the Crystal Bottle’s wall, innumerable particles almost invisible to the naked eye could be seen suspended within the potion, each flickering at an independent frequency, like a miniature starry sky sealed within the liquid.
All three successfully refined, uniform in quality, with none needing removal.
The third row also contained three Magic Potions, the liquid colorless and clear, resembling nothing more than three bottles of pure water at first glance.
But with a slight shake of the bottle, a very faint silvery-white mist-like structure could be observed suspended within the liquid. That mist slowly rolled, stretched, and contracted, with each morphological change creating a microscopically visible ripple on the liquid’s surface.
This was the manifestation on a microscopic scale of a Rule Isolation Layer created under the catalyst of the Eternal Ice’s Rule prototype by the interaction of Virtual Void Pollen and Ghost Essence.
The Silent Eternal Seal, a Magic Potion to resist external murmur interference, all three were successful.
Duke swept over with his Spiritual Power, observing carefully.
The finished products showed no signs of the common instability found in substitutes; the transparency of the three potions, the shape of the mist-like structure, and the frequency of the spatial ripples were highly consistent, completely matching the description of a fully genuine Silent Eternal Seal as recorded in Six-Ring Tower literature.
"Two Star Sea Sheltering Dew, three Pupil of the Rule Horizon, three Silent Eternal Seal." Wilkinson stood on the other side of the display table, his hands resting on the desk, reporting the final numbers in a proud yet restrained tone, "Initial plan was for nine, one removed for not meeting quality standards, delivering eight to you expected. I personally checked the purity of each; the lowest is still above standard, but you can reassess the purity for yourself."
Duke stood in front of the display table, carefully examining each row of potions again before formally thanking Wilkinson.
These three Magic Potions were crucial auxiliary assurances for advancing to Level 3, each capable of shielding him from one type of deadly risk during the advancement process.
And Wilkinson had not only completed the refinement but did so beyond expectations.
An extra potion meant an additional assurance during the advancement process.
"Don’t rush to thank me just yet." Wilkinson waved his hand, the smile on his face fading as he donned the serious face of an old-school scholar, "The items are good, but I must explain a few things clearly."
He extended a finger towards the first row, the Star Sea Sheltering Dew: "These three types of Magic Potions are of Level 3 quality and extremely potent. Especially the Star Sea Sheltering Dew, when consumed, it directly acts on the Spiritual Sea, releasing a potent burst of energy that creates a brief but intense Spiritual Power disturbance.
This disturbance is its way of reinforcing the structure of the Spiritual Sea, whereby your Spiritual Sea will resonate like a bell that has been struck, and the stronger the resonance, the better the reinforcement effect.
