Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree

Chapter 962 - 823: Magic Potion Acquired_2

But if your spiritual power is not stable enough, this tremor might create cracks in your spiritual sea.

Therefore, before consumption, you must adjust your spiritual power to its optimal state, with no fatigue, depletion, or hidden dangers.

Additionally, the three magic potions should not be consumed simultaneously, as the medicine conflict is not the issue, but simultaneous release of the medicinal power will cause cumulative impact on spiritual power.

The consumption order must be Star Sea Sheltering Dew, Pupil of the Rule Horizon, Silent Eternal Seal.

There should be a small interval between each, waiting until the previous medicinal effect is fully released and absorbed by the spiritual sea, before taking the next one.

Silent Eternal Seal must be consumed last because its duration is relatively short, and its rule isolation layer forms a closure effect on the surface of the spiritual sea, preventing other medicinal powers from entering if taken first.

Lastly, remember that all three potions contain high concentrations of rule fragments, and must be taken strictly following the standard process on the formula, using spiritual power for guidance. Even the slightest deviation can lead to a loss of control over the medicinal power."

Duke remembered Wilkinson’s words without missing a single detail. He had already seen relevant records in the Six-Ring Tower Library while researching, but none as detailed as Wilkinson’s explanations.

Wilkinson was evidently extremely familiar with these magic potions, possessing a wealth of experience.

His advice to Duke would enable Duke to fully harness the effects of these magic potions.

Wilkinson stood by and watched as Duke stored all the potions away, only after the last Silent Eternal Seal had also vanished into the space ring did Wilkinson take the copy of the refining work order filled out a month ago from the desk, wrote a few lines on it, stamped it, and handed it to Duke.

"Refining completion confirmation form, sign it, and the commission is formally completed."

Duke took the pen and wrote his name in the commissioner’s signature column.

Upon signing, the commission was considered finished, and Duke did not continue to disturb the Magic Potion Master, after respectfully saluting, he left.

With the magic potions in hand, the next step was to truly prepare for the promotion.

He spent several days adjusting his condition, spending most of the time in meditation and rest, ensuring no chores disrupted the stable operation of his spiritual power.

Six-Ring Tower has dedicated venues for assisting wizards with promotion, and only requires application for use.

Three days later, Duke submitted his application for promotion venue usage through the Six-Ring Badge.

The application form on the spiritual power network is a simple light screen, with a few mandatory fields: name, current level, target promotion level, estimated time required, and whether special environmental support is needed.

Duke filled each field, writing in the remarks column his environmental requirements: high concentration of free energy particles, absolute silence, spiritual power isolation, rules perception enhancement.

Such requirements are standard for Level 3 Mage promotions, and Six-Ring Tower’s dedicated advancement facilities would naturally meet them.

Shortly after submission, the badge popped up an approval notice, attached with a teleportation coordinate and a brief guidance description.

Duke followed the guidance and arrived promptly at the designated floor of the Six-Ring Tower main building.

He was received by a guide dressed in a dark grey standard robe, appearing around forty years old, with a silver badge from the Six-Ring Tower Order and Enforcement Department pinned to his chest, his expression neutral and speech brisk.

Without introducing himself, he just checked Duke’s Six-Ring Badge and identity information, then succinctly said "Follow me", before turning and heading into the depths of the corridor.

Duke followed the guide, crossing labyrinthine corridors and several rune door restrictions requiring temporary authorization to pass, finally arriving before an elevator.

The elevator before him was drastically different from any he’d seen before; its door frame was neither metal nor stone, but a whole piece of semi-transparent silver-blue crystal, akin to the Six-Ring Tower’s main body material, which sometimes appeared crystal-like, sometimes liquid light mist.

The crystal surface had no buttons, no floor indicator, no operable interface, only a thin vertical light slit extending from top to bottom, like an eye in the tower itself, closed.

The guide placed his palm on the light slit, causing the crystal door to slide open silently.

The elevator’s interior was a roughly three-meter-diameter round space, its walls of the same semi-transparent silver-blue crystal, the floor a smooth black stone slab, no light above, yet the entire space was bathed in a layer of gentle silver-white glow originating from an unknown source.

The guide did not enter, stood at the entrance, lightly pressed on the inner side of the door frame’s crystal, then spoke in a businesslike tone: "The elevator will automatically descend to the target floor, the door will open upon arrival, you just need to wait inside."

Duke nodded, stepped into the elevator. The crystal door silently closed behind him, shutting out the guide’s impassive face.

Inside the elevator was very quiet, so quiet he could hear the sound of his heartbeat.

No buttons, no floor indicators, no equipment he could operate.

All he could do was stand in place and wait.

Then the elevator began to descend.

The first few seconds were very slow, almost lacking a sense of weightlessness, only the scenery outside the crystal walls changed.

The silver-blue internal structure of the tower skimmed past layer by layer, each fleetingly glimpsed for fewer than a few tenths of a second.

He saw the tall bookshelves of a library floor, saw the blurred figures of people in the teleportation hall compressed into indistinct color blocks, saw a green-flamed crucible in an alchemy laboratory.

Then these scenes vanished, the light outside the crystal walls dimming progressively from silver-blue to deep blue, from deep blue to dark grey, and finally to complete pitch black.

Yet the elevator continued its descent, accelerating downward.

Duke felt gentle vibration from the black stone slab beneath his feet, sensed the gradual change in air pressure around him, noticed his spiritual power perception range slowly contracting.

His spiritual power wasn’t being suppressed; rather, he was traversing a medium highly diminishing toward spiritual power.

He didn’t know how many floors the elevator had descended, nor his current depth beneath the Central Islands.

The Six-Ring Tower’s floor count in regular use reached about one hundred, but in reality, it extended far beyond any public record.

Then in complete darkness, a light appeared.

A gentle, dim, bluish-green fluorescence seeped from outside the crystal wall, initially faint then steadily growing brighter.

Duke turned to observe the crystal wall, now no longer cloaked in dark rock, but revealing an expansive watery realm.

Bluish-green glow diffused from the deep, illuminating the ocean floor as if the entire seabed emitted light.

The base of Six-Ring Tower, underwater.

The water was immensely clear, allowing views of distant seabed mountain contours, the mountains’ ridges covered by bluish-green fluorescent deep-sea vegetation, and occasionally a school of fish darting past the crystal wall.

These fish lacked eyes, had semi-transparent bodies, internally glowing with the same fluorescence as the flora, leaving fleeting streaks of light in their wake.

Further ahead, in the gorges between underwater mountain ranges, something was moving slowly.

This entity was enormous, so large only a small portion slid past sight, akin to a moss-covered illuminated wall requiring quite a duration to completely fade from view.

The elevator traveled through the water faster than through the rock layer, the scenery outside transitioning from deep-sea mountain ranges to a flat seabed plain, scattered with a few spires composed of similar silver-blue crystal.

These were subsidiary structures extending from the sea floor of Six-Ring Tower, each surrounded by multiple layers of nested rune arrays, rotating slowly, emitting pulsing light with precise regularity.

Further ahead, at the plain’s end, there appeared a standalone circular building detached from the central tower.
