Shang Yang asked for silence as he welcomed everyone to the founding of the Lazarus Kingdom and the crowning of it’s first King. He didn’t use many words, but his tone and the aura that he gave off was enough for everyone to understand just how important this day would be in the Lazarus Kingdom’s history. Both Sun Shangxiang and Meritamen’s guests also looked on in pride, not at Dom, but at the positions the two women now held beside him. Dom stood and looked out himself at the crowd, seeing so many Heroes, Civilians and Warriors that he had met over the last few months of playing.

Shang Yang soon handed over the Ceremony to Cicero and Umako who stepped up to the raised stage, with the younger Neferure stood beneath them on the Town Centre floor. She held a carved wooden bowl that was full of flowers and leaves from the surrounding fauna that covered the lands that were now part of the Lazarus Kingdom. Hatshepsut looked on at her daughter with pride, whilst Meritamen’s brother seemed to also be looking at the fellow Egyptian with unknown thoughts.

Cicero began by welcoming all of the guests, from the farmers who toiled the lands, the workers and craftsmen of the cities, the sailors and dock workers, the warriors who defended those lands, and the guests who had come from afar. He then listed some of the different Cultures that had come together to make such a vibrant community, the Egyptians, Romans, Greeks, Han Chinese, the people of the Steppes, the Phoenician sailors, Germanics, Celts and early Britons, the new arrival of the San, all the way through to the Haya family of blacksmiths who had recently began working for Ou Yezi. The list was long, longer and more impressive than Dom had expected. Dom noticed Elder Kabbo in the crowd, alongside his Chieftain Kung, both now Mayors of Dom’s southern Towns, they both had looks of awe on their faces sat in the giant room surrounded by over a thousand people of different backgrounds.

Cicero finished by explaining that Dom was now being recognised to be their monarch, to respect their old cultures but with the aim to pull them together as a new culture, special to all those that lived within the boundaries of their soon to be formed Kingdom. All that fell from Tongpai Lake in the North, to Eruthros on the West and to Vindicta in the south West all the way to the shimmering sea that covered the entirety of the south and the east. He then mentioned the Islands in the Sea that formed the new Eastern Boundary, with some new faces that Dom didn’t recognise sitting up when Kos and Nicyros were mentioned. Cicero made sure to mentioned every town in the Kingdom, so that those from all of them felt included, be it the San, Greeks or the Han Chinese.

Umako then took over, listing a large selection of gods that the different people worshipped, from Greek and Roman gods, to the Ancient Indians, Humans Ancestors and even Buddha. He explained that whilst no religion would be dedicated as the singular religion or faith for the Lazarus Kingdom, they would be accepted within the boundaries of a personal belief. Dom, as their King, would defend their right to their beliefs, as long as those beliefs represented the Lazarus Kingdom. He also mentioned some of the Temples and the Mausoleum that were across the Kingdom, with others soon to be placed.

After Cicero and Umako finished their parts about Culture, Religion and the People. Shang Yang took over again, turning towards Dom. Shang Yang then asked Dom to make an oath to the people, where he declared that he would be a just King, a King who would fight against their enemies and protect their borders. He would make the Lazarus Kingdom prosperous and a place that they could all live a much better life than if they were elsewhere.

Neferure then walked up the stairs, dipping her fingers in the bowl of flowers and leaves where some oils had been placed, before touching Dom’s forehead with them. She then repeated the process to Meritamen first and then Sun Shangxiang, before stepping back down the stairs and standing below the stage. Dom could smell the oil, that seemed to be a mixture of Olive Oil and some form of Lavender.

Subutai then stood from his seat on the front row, his move catching the eye of most of those in the Town Centre’s Great Hall. He moved forwards and grabbed a box that was covered in a purple cloth from the hands of one of Ban Jieyu’s smartly dressed staff and carrying it up to the stage himself. Lucius did something similar, grabbing another box as the two original Heroes appeared beside Shang Yang, whilst Cicero and Umako took a step off the stage and stood beside Neferure, bowing gently towards Dom as they stepped down.

Lucius moved his cloth first, revealing a golden ball on a golden handle. The Golden ball was covered in the same engravings Dom had seen on the doors, there was some white, red and blue jewels placed in a circle around it’s centre, but the engravings of Animals and Weapons from the different forces of the Lazarus Kingdom were the highlight to Dom as he took it in his hand. The Handle seemed to have been constructed with a combination of gold and the white wood from the Silver Forest, with the base also being a small counterbalance.

[The Sceptre of the Lazarus Kingdom is a symbol of the Kings power over the his people. The wielder of the Sceptre has the royal decree to uphold the Authority of Justice and Mercy within their Kingdom and to their subjects.]

Subutai then handed his box to Shang Yang, before removing the cloth from the box. Within the box was a white gold Crown. The Crown was like a thin circular headband, with eight white gold diamonds that pointed upwards from the top of the headband. Each diamond had an engraving of a Sabre Tooth Tiger’s face or a Sword and Spear crossing over, with the headband itself covered in patterns and jewels.

Whilst the crown was clearly well made, it was light as it was placed on Dom’s head and the shape of it would allow him to wear it and even fight in it if needed. Dom could also see some slots within the crown that would allow it to be placed upon a helmet. Subutai placed it on his Dom’s head, a smile on his face, signifying that the Military would support their King, whilst Lucius action had done the same for the Civilians.

[The Crown of the Lazarus Kingdom is reforged from the Crown of an Ancient Prince from an Ancient Unknown Kingdom. It is the symbol of Authority over the entirety of the Kingdoms resources, both Civilian and Military.]

Gan Ning and Tomyris then stood up from their seats and walked to the front. Gan Ning and Tomyris were Dom’s first Heroes and had a special place in his heart compared to the rest. There were two other boxes that were being held by some of Ban Jieyu’s staff, with similar cloth covering them. They both walked on to the stage as well, their steps proud as they approached the other Heroes already on the stage. Lu Ji, one of Dom’s other Civilian Heroes who worked as an assistant mainly to Shang Yang and Xun Yu, was gathering the used boxes from Lucius and Subutai and handing them to some stoic looking guards that were stood around the stage.

Subutai opened the box that Tomyris had brought forwards, whilst Lucius opened the one that Gan Ning held. Both pulled out small white crowns that were almost like miniature versions of Dom’s. The Headbands were of a similar size in width but thinner, but the white gold diamonds were much smaller. Both Heroes then walked forwards, placing the crowns on the heads of Sun Shangxiang and Meritamen, who both bowed slightly in gratitude to Subutai and Lucius. Lucius had placed Meritamen’s as if saying she was the chosen one of the Civilians, whilst Subutai placed Sun Shangxiang’s symbolising the same for the Military.

All of the Heroes then left the stage, except for Shang Yang as Dom, Meritamen and Sun Shangxiang stood in silence as the crowd watched them. Dom tried to keep a straight face but felt uncomfortable with all of the eyes watching him, especially when he noticed Andrew in the distance trying to hold a laugh in. Kai then nudged Andrew and Dom struggled to keep back the small smile tugging at the side of his face.

"With the power, given to me by the people of the Lazarus Kingdom, declare you, Lazarus, King of the Lazarus Kingdom and all that live within it’s borders. The Defender of it’s people, their cultures and their faith." Shang Yang declared as Dom nodded towards him. Dom felt uncomfortable in the moment, a strange feeling passing through him as if what was happening was reality and not some game. He knew it wasn’t, but the emotions and the realism around him made him question his own sanity for a second.

"I declare you, Lady Meritamen, as the White Queen. Who will keep our Kingdom stable and our nation peaceful." Shang Yang then declared to Meritamen, who looked forwards as if ignoring the stares of everyone. She had been born to be a Queen and at this moment she felt her ambitions were coming true.

"I declare you, Lady Sun, as the Red Queen. Who will keep our Kingdom strong and our people safe." Shang Yang then declared to Sun Shangxiang, whose face reddened as she struggled to hold back a tear. Her life had been to be used to broker an alliance and to fade from existence, instead she was a Queen of a growing Kingdom and even given the chance to fight as she had always dreamed off.

"With this, I declare the founding of the Lazarus Kingdom." Shang Yang finished, as Dom, Sun Shangxiang and Meritamen all sat in their thrones. The crowd all stood to their feet, clapping and cheering as Dom’s face paled instead.
