Leon found Selene in the living room, sitting alone while calmly sipping tea. When she saw him, her eyes brightened slightly, and she nodded.

"I can tell that you’re stronger than me."

Leon was almost stunned by her comment, then smiled faintly. He sat opposite her while a maid came to serve him tea also.

Leon gave the woman an appreciative glance, then nodded.

"Perhaps. I’m not sure," He said vaguely.

Selene’s eyes narrowed suspiciously, but she didn’t press the matter.

She reached forward and placed two treasure cubes and one scroll on the table, pushing them closer to Leon.

The young man was slightly surprised, as he didn’t expect her to have left the treasure cubes unopened. Even if she did, he wouldn’t mind.

Still, he was pleased with her actions.

"The treasure cubes are from the mutated gorilla, and that scroll is from the wyvern."

Leon nodded as he picked up the scroll and checked its information. A frown appeared on his face, and he looked at the ability with narrowed eyes.

’Cellular Memory? It seems... useless?’ He shook his head internally. ’No, that’s wrong. It seems more like the fragment of a bigger ability or trait.’

Still confused, he set it down and picked up one of the treasure cubes. With a slight squeeze, he crushed it in his hand.

He glanced at Selene, then nodded to himself.

Leon nodded, causing her to fall silent. She felt a little grumpy, as she hadn’t even noticed it when she went to pick up their rewards.

Noticing this, Leon chuckled. "It’s different from the one we have back in Williamsburg, though."

"Oh? How different?"

Leon took out the slime metal and passed it to her as he explained.

"That wheel doesn’t give out equipment, it gives out resources instead."

Selene remained silent, brows furrowed as she studied the strange metal in her hands. It was quite malleable and could easily be molded into any shape desired.

"What other resources can we get from it?" She asked, finally lifting her gaze to meet his.

Leon shrugged. "I don’t know, this is the only one I tried."

Selene nodded, poking the metal with her finger.

"We’ll check it properly when the others return here with us."

Leon downed the remaining tea in his cup, then set it on the table.

"In two days, we’ll head out to move our group here permanently. Gwen should be able to work properly with that wheel."

Selene smiled at the mention of her friend. "That girl is impressive. I have no doubt that this place will undergo a qualitative change once she gets here."

Leon agreed, as he had no choice but to acknowledge the girl’s administrative capabilities. She wasn’t a Thompson for nothing, after all.

’If she were running for the president or prime minister, I’d vote for her.’

The two remained silent for a while until Selene stood up and returned to her room. With nothing urgent to do, Leon went to check on the progress on the modified vehicles Nicolas was working on.

Although lives were lost in the battle, many people became stronger in the process, and even the ordinary gunmen turned into evolvers.

Over the next two days, Leon sparred with Marie and Selene, testing both women’s strength and weaknesses. Marie had become far stronger after reaching Tier One. Her new class had completely changed her fighting style, and Leon had to adjust his approach accordingly.

Also, Leon ensured to take time and personally trained the militia’s evolvers, using the ingrained knowledge from his Martial Mastery trait to improve their combat abilities.

Unfortunately, there weren’t any interesting abilities among those he had extracted, and they were quite ordinary. In the end, he shared them between Emily, Jones, and Nicolas, while Marie claimed the Tier Two deer’s ability.
