Evan woke up early the next morning, feeling completely refreshed after a good night’s sleep. He had been utterly exhausted after yesterday’s mana training, but the night’s rest had allowed him to recover completely.
After finishing his morning routine, he took a look at his status window.

Looking at his status window, Evan was surprised to see that his Mana had increased by two points overnight.
However, after thinking about it for a moment, it made sense.
His intensive mana training the previous day had greatly improved his control over mana, allowing him to perceive it much more clearly than before.
Still, if anyone else were to discover that he had increased his Mana by two points after only a single day of training, they would probably feel as though they had wasted their entire lives.
For ordinary people, increasing their Mana without leveling up was almost impossible.
After checking his status, Evan headed to the kitchen, where Venisa was already preparing breakfast.
After greeting his grandparents, he quietly waited for the meal to be served.
Once breakfast was over, Evan helped Venisa clean the dishes.
After everything had been cleaned up, he returned to his room and made one final check of his backpack to ensure that he hadn’t forgotten anything.
After confirming that everything was in place, he walked outside.
His grandparents were already waiting there to see him off. As Evan approached, Alfred suddenly handed him a ring.
The moment Evan saw what it was, his eyes widened in shock.
"A Storage Ring," He muttered in a shocked voice.
Although Evan had always known that his grandparents were far from ordinary, he had never imagined that Alfred would casually give him one of the rarest treasures on Planet Zarth.
His reaction was completely understandable. After all, only two hundred years had passed since humanity had begun evolving.
As a result, very few people on Planet Zarth possessed the ability to create Storage Rings or other space-type artifacts.
Although there was a chance of obtaining a storage-type artifact after clearing a dungeon, that possibility was incredibly low.
Furthermore, creating a space-type treasure required much more than an outstanding blacksmith.
One also needed a highly skilled Rune Master capable of engraving spatial runes.
Such individuals were extremely rare throughout the entire planet.
Thinking about the Storage Ring naturally reminded Evan of the enormous underground training ground beneath their house.
He was now almost certain that Space Magic had been used to construct it.
He wanted to ask Alfred where he had obtained such a precious treasure.
However, knowing his grandfather’s personality, he was certain he wouldn’t receive an answer.
So, instead of asking unnecessary questions, he simply examined the ring’s information.
---) Storage Ring (Uncommon Grade): A storage-type treasure containing a space measuring 5 × 5 cubic meters. Anything can be stored inside it as long as it is not a living creature.
There were currently seven known treasure grades in the world.
They were: Common Grade, Uncommon Grade, Rare Grade, Epic Grade, Legendary Grade, Mythical Grade, and God Grade.
Although Alfred had only given him an Uncommon Grade Storage Ring, Evan knew just how valuable it truly was, as storage-type treasures were extraordinarily rare.
Even a Common Grade Storage Ring was difficult to obtain, much less an Uncommon Grade one.
Coming back to his senses, Evan quickly thanked his grandfather.
He then placed a drop of his blood onto the ring, forming a blood bond with it.
Once the bond was complete, he transferred all of his luggage and supplies into the Storage Ring, leaving only Black Star strapped to his waist.
"Be careful at all times once you enter the forest," Venisa said in a serious voice.
"I have already placed enough food inside your Storage Ring. Make sure to eat your meals on time, get enough rest, and don’t spend every waking moment training."
Evan nodded obediently.
"I understand, Grandma."
Alfred also gave him a few final reminders.
"Although there aren’t many high-level magical beasts in the outer region of the Dark Forest, there’s always a chance that one might wander there from the inner regions. So never let your guard down."
"I will be careful," Evan replied seriously.
After reassuring both of his grandparents that he would be careful, Evan finally left his home.
The forest was roughly a three-hour walk from their house.
Alfred and Venisa disliked living among crowds, so they had built their home far away from any city or village.
The nearest city to their home was Rivo City, which also happened to be the closest city to the Dark Forest.
Because countless Evolvers traveled to the Dark Forest to hunt magical beasts every day, Rivo City had gradually developed into an important trading center.
Most hunters sold the magical beast materials and treasures they obtained from the forest there.
Although Rivo City wasn’t particularly large, almost anything an Evolver could need could be found there.
The city’s primary purpose had always been to provide supplies and services for the hunters entering the Dark Forest.
However, Evan had no intention of entering the forest through Rivo City, as he wanted to hunt magical beasts alone.
He had no idea what problems might arise if he encountered other hunters while fighting magical beasts.
Therefore, he decided to approach the Dark Forest from the western side of the city instead, that was relatively deserted.
Although doing so would increase his travel time, Evan believed it was the safer choice.
After walking for nearly three and a half hours, he finally saw the outline of the enormous forest stretching across the horizon.
By the time he reached the edge of the Dark Forest, it was already noon.
Instead of entering immediately, Evan sat beneath the shade of a large tree and decided to recover his stamina first while eating the meal Venisa had prepared for him.
As he quietly ate his lunch, Evan organized his goals for the coming month.
First, he needed to obtain his very first Active Skill.
Second, he had to continue increasing his overall strength.
Third, he needed to become at least a Rank 1 Evolver before the academy’s entrance date, which meant increasing his level to at least 26.
And finally...Until he acquired his first Active Skill, he absolutely had to avoid fighting any magical beast that was too powerful for him to handle.
