Evan landed before the entrance of Red Cape Town and put Lia down.

Two guards were watching over the people entering the town. However, unlike Rivo City, where there was usually a large queue to enter the city, very few people were waiting in line here in Red Cape Town.

Red Cape Town was just a small town. Unlike Rivo City, where one could find almost anything they wanted, Red Cape Town didn’t have that kind of facility. It was a remote town with a population of around four thousand people.

Evan also joined the queue along with Lia, and soon, it was their turn. Evan paid four bronze coins as the entry fee and entered the town.

After entering the town, they saw several watchtowers built near the town walls to defend the town from any Magic Beasts that came near it.

There weren’t many Magic Beasts near Red Cape Town, but sometimes beasts from nearby regions could wander into the area.

Since there weren’t many guards in Red Cape Town, the people had built these towers to defend themselves against the beasts.

While walking, Evan saw several nearby guards. The strongest guard here was only a Rank One Evolver, unlike Rivo City, where the Guard Commander, Max, was a Rank Three Evolver.

But Evan didn’t pay much attention to it and continued walking deeper into Red Cape Town.

There wasn’t anything particularly special about the town, so Evan asked a passerby about a nearby inn.

Soon, Evan and Lia arrived before a building with the words Moon Inn written on top of it in golden letters.

Evan brought Lia inside the inn and walked toward the reception desk, where a middle-aged man was reading a book.

After paying three silver coins, he booked the best room available, as he wasn’t short on money.

Evan ordered some food for them, and once they ate their fill, Evan patted Lia’s head, who was already sleepy after today’s journey.

"Take a good rest. Tomorrow, we’ll have to camp in the wilderness since there won’t be any towns nearby after this."

Lia nodded with a yawn and went to sleep.

Evan looked out through their room window and saw that it was already dark outside, with very few people still walking around.

Looking toward the town wall in the distance, he saw guards patrolling around, as the chances of Magic Beasts attacking increased at night.

Looking at the unfamiliar scene outside, he was lost in thought for a while.

After a while, he came out of his daze and, shaking his head, went to the bathroom to take a shower.

After coming out, he slumped onto the soft bed and also fell asleep as well.

The next morning, after breakfast, Evan and Lia left the inn to continue their journey toward Sky Pearl City.

However, as soon as Evan came out of the inn, he saw several guards running toward the entrance of the town, where many defense towers had been built.

Evan raised an eyebrow when he saw this, and a look of interest appeared on his face.

He grabbed Lia’s hand and walked toward the town entrance.

As he got closer, he heard the voices of the guards.

"Two Rank One Magic Beasts are coming toward the town! Everyone, please stay inside your homes and don’t come near the entrance!"

"Rank One Magic Beasts..."

Evan was surprised when he heard the guard’s words and immediately used his Wind Detection Skill.

After becoming a Rank One Evolver, the range his Wind Detection could cover had become extremely large.

Through Wind Detection, Evan immediately found five Rank One guards standing at the town entrance.

One of them was holding a spear, another was holding a large hammer, while two were holding swords, and one was bare-handed.

There were also many guards standing on the watchtowers with bows, all of them looking outside the town with sharp gazes.

However, other than the guards, Evan did not find any Magic Beasts nearby with his Wind Detection.

But not long after, two Magic Beasts entered the range of his Wind Detection.

Evan thought about it for a moment before saying, "Lia, do you want to see a good show?"

"What good show, Big Brother?" Lia asked with a confused expression.

"Just come with me. I will show you something great."

As Evan spoke, Wings of Wind appeared behind his back.

He picked up Lia and started flying toward the entrance of the town.

The guards who were asking people to move away from the entrance watched with their mouths wide open when they saw someone flying through the sky.

Their shock was understandable because if someone didn’t have a Skill that allowed them to fly, they could only fly after becoming a Rank Three Evolver.

Evan landed on the wall of the town and put Lia down.

"Just sit here and watch."

Lia nodded obediently and looked around curiously.

Evan then flew toward the five Rank One guards who were standing near the entrance.

As he flew toward them, Evan also saw the two Rank One Magic Beasts that were approaching the town.

One of the Magic Beasts was a three-meter-tall rhino with silver-colored scales covering its entire body, while the other was a five-meter-tall ape with dark red skin.

Evan landed before the five guards, who looked at him with baffled expressions because of his sudden appearance.

"I will deal with the ape. You guys can take care of the rhino."

Hearing Evan’s straightforward words, all five guards were taken aback and looked at him strangely.

The guard holding the hammer was about to say something to Evan when the guard holding the spear spoke first.

"Thanks for your help. We will do as you say."

The other guards looked at their captain with baffled expressions, wondering what he was thinking.

Evan was also surprised when he saw him agreeing so easily, but he didn’t say anything and simply nodded before flying into the air again.

Once Evan left, the guard holding the hammer came closer to their captain and asked, "Is it okay to let a kid handle a Rank One Magic Beast?"

"Don’t worry about him. A person who can fly just after becoming a Rank One Evolver can’t be a normal person. Just focus on that rhino. If we see him having trouble while dealing with the ape, one of us can always help him."

The captain replied while looking seriously at the approaching rhino.

Soon, both Magic Beasts arrived near the town.

Evan also landed back on the ground and looked at the ape.

Since becoming a Rank One Evolver, he hadn’t been able to properly test his strength. Now that he finally had a chance to test his power, he didn’t want to miss it.

As the ape came closer to the town, Evan shot a normal Wind Bullet toward it to draw its attention.

The bullet wasn’t powerful since he only wanted to taunt the ape.

The bullet struck the ape directly on its forehead and immediately stopped.

The ape turned its head in the direction the bullet had come from and looked toward Evan with its blood-red eyes.

Evan simply smiled at the ape and created another identical Wind Bullet, sending it toward the beast again.

The bullet once again struck the ape on the forehead, and its eyes immediately turned bloodshot.

ROAR!

The ape let out an enraged roar and charged toward Evan.

At the same time, the guards also attacked the rhino.

Evan looked at the five-meter-tall ape rushing toward him at an incredible speed, and his eyes narrowed.

The muscles in his legs tensed as he pressed his feet against the ground.

BOOOOOOM!

The ground beneath his feet instantly sank, and he turned into a streak of black light, shooting toward the ape.

Evan didn’t use any Skill, but he still arrived before the ape in the blink of an eye.

By the time the ape registered Evan’s figure, he had already jumped up from the ground and was right in front of its face.

"Let’s have some fun, big guy."

Evan grinned right in front of the tall ape’s face, and the next second—

Bang!

A punch landed right on the ape’s face.

ROAR!

A painful roar echoed across the surroundings as blood exploded from the beast’s face and its enormous body staggered backward, falling to the ground with a loud boom.
