In the depths of the Cyan Mountain Daoist Temple, the door to a secluded chamber silently sealed itself.

Qi Yun sat cross-legged upon a Profound Jade Meditation Mat. The master scroll of the *Blood Spirit Scripture* hovered before him, its blood-red Dao Rhyme swirling without end, as if alive.

His eyes were half-closed, his Heart and Spirit already immersed in the profound world of this Demon Technique.

When he first began cultivating, only a faint, bloody mist suffused the secluded chamber, as ethereal as fog or gauze.

But as Qi Yun’s understanding of the scripture’s first level—the Blood Attraction Heart Skill—deepened, a strange phenomenon gradually emerged.

Faint red wisps of blood-qi began to seep from his pores. Instead of dissipating, they intertwined in the air of the secluded chamber, faintly forming slender, blood-red veins that pulsed as if alive.

「Three years passed.」

The scene inside the secluded chamber was vastly different.

The blood-qi, which had previously only spread a few feet, had now become a thin, dark-red mist spanning an area about ten feet across.

Blood Beads would occasionally condense within the mist and fall, only to silently vaporize back into mist before hitting the floor.

Qi Yun sat upright in the center of the mist, his expression serene. Beneath his skin, however, blood-red patterns faintly flickered, as if a second circulatory system was taking form.

His breaths became exceedingly long.

Every time he inhaled, the blood-red mist in the secluded chamber would slightly contract toward him.

Every time he exhaled, the mist would expand with it.

With each breath, he fell into a kind of resonance with this bloody domain.

The essence of the *Blood Spirit Scripture* gradually became clear in his mind.

This technique cultivated neither the five elements nor Yin Yang. It focused solely on tempering the very source of blood-qi, viewing the physical body as a self-contained world—a Blood Sea.

When cultivated to its deepest levels, a single drop of blood could transform into a clone, and a mere wisp of qi could seize a Divine Soul. It was an art of utmost strangeness and tyranny.

「Another five years passed.」

The thin, blood-red mist in the secluded chamber was now impenetrably dense, flowing sluggishly like viscous plasma.

Qi Yun’s figure was barely visible within it. The Meditation Mat beneath him had long been drenched in blood, transforming into a squirming, bloody mass.

Most bizarrely, this domain of blood-mist began to seep outward.

It wasn’t seeping through the doors or windows. Instead, through some abstruse connection, it began to form a subtle link with the outside world—with the faint wisps of blood-qi drifting between Heaven and Earth, the residual, murderous aura of battlefields, and even the scent of blood from sick and injured creatures.

As his mastery of this Cultivation Skill deepened, Qi Yun’s Divine Sense also underwent a subtle change.

He closed his eyes and began Introspection. Within his Purple Mansion, at the edge of his once-pristine sea of Divine Soul, faint blood-red ripples started to appear.

Within these ripples, vague images were reflected—scenes from places rich in blood-qi, located beyond Cyan Mountain but still within the Holy Sect’s territory.

Freshly spilled blood in an execution hall; the seeping wounds of someone injured in a fight at a Marketplace; even the baleful, bloody aura that had settled for years in the ruins of a distant battlefield...

A flicker of understanding passed through his mind, and Qi Yun gradually understood.

Once the *Blood Spirit Scripture* was cultivated to a certain Realm, one could use their own blood-qi as a lure to sense, attract, and even absorb any aura related to "blood" that existed between Heaven and Earth.

This wasn’t simple consumption, but a form of resonance and dominion at the most fundamental level.

「Ten years passed in a flash.」

The secluded chamber no longer existed.

Or rather, the entire space of the secluded chamber had been expanded and transformed into a bizarre, blood-red world of its own.

In the center of this world, Qi Yun still sat cross-legged.

But his form was now a blur, difficult to discern. All that could be seen was a sphere of incomparably dense, dark-red light.

From within the bloody light, the faint sound of a tide could be heard, starting as a whisper before swelling to a thunderous roar.

The ground beneath him had long since disappeared, replaced by a bottomless, slowly rotating, blood-red vortex.

Viscous plasma churned and roiled within the vortex, from which ghastly phantoms would occasionally surface.

Twisted faces, severed limbs, and struggling soul-shadows—all were manifestations formed from the coagulation of the filthiest, most baleful, and most resentful energies of the Supreme Yin that existed between Heaven and Earth.

This was the nascent form of a "Blood Sea."

Where the bloody waves churned, not a trace of life could be seen, only deathly silence and destruction.

Within this small Blood Sea domain, no fish could swim and no plants could grow. There was only the flow of the purest Blood Sea Dao Intent.

It seemed to have become the focal point and final destination for all negative blood-energies between Heaven and Earth, spontaneously drawing in the vile, stray blood-qi from hundreds of miles around.

At this moment, Qi Yun’s Divine Soul was completely immersed in the profound mysteries of the Blood Sea Dao.

He felt as if he had become a boundless Blood Sea, and every drop of its water was an extension of his will.

The Blood Sea could devour the vital blood of all creation to strengthen itself. It could manifest millions of Blood God Child avatars. It could condense the Blood River Dao to defile a person’s Magical Treasures and corrode their Dao Foundation...

And as his cultivation deepened, his perception of "blood" also reached an unprecedented level.

He could "see" the life imprints contained within blood, the emotional memories carried by blood-qi, and the solidified karma of slaughter within the baleful aura of death...

Wherever a living being bled, wherever slaughter occurred, wherever resentment festered between Heaven and Earth, it would all eventually return to this boundless Blood Sea.

And the *Blood Spirit Scripture* was the Supreme Dharma Gate for usurping and commanding this very cycle.

Twenty years...

Thirty years...

Viewed from the outside, the entire Side Hall that housed the secluded chamber was now enveloped in a translucent, dark-red light.

The bloody light wrapped around the hall like an eggshell, and blood-red Magic Patterns would occasionally flicker and flow across its surface.

For a hundred yards around the hall, all plants had withered and all wildlife had vanished. Even the Spiritual Qi had grown cold, sinister, and viscous.

If not for the isolating effect of the [Cave Heaven Dust Two Realms Technique], such a phenomenon would have long ago alerted the entire Holy Sect.

Inside the hall, the scene was one of cataclysmic change.

An illusory projection of a true "Netherworld Blood Sea" filled the entire space.

The Blood Sea was boundless and bottomless. Viscous plasma churned and surged, raising thousand-foot-high bloody waves.

Amidst the crashing waves, innumerable ghastly phantoms rose and fell, shrieking in torment—they were the manifestations of the world’s baleful energies, remnant souls, and resentful thoughts, all drawn to the Blood Sea.
