Its voice carried genuine gratitude. It had received an unimaginable amount of energy from Ivy's kindness.
And now, it was determined to repay her. However, its expression suddenly became serious.
"There is something else. Your child may not survive beyond four months."
The smile disappeared from Ivy's face. Silas froze. Both of them stared at the bird in shock.
"What do you mean?"
The temporal storage calmly continued, "Your child has already lost half of its natural lifespan. Not only that, but its physical body is also severely damaged. If you want to heal it... just tell me."
Ivy immediately stepped forward. "You can heal my child?"
The Temporal Storage chuckled. "Of course."
The next instant, a warm golden energy spread throughout the room.
It gently enveloped Ivy's entire body. She felt a soothing warmth pass through her skin and settle deep within her abdomen.
Then, she felt a tiny movement inside her stomach. It wasn't a kick. It was something softer.
It felt as though the fragile life growing inside her had suddenly become stronger.
Ivy's eyes widened. She instinctively placed both hands over her stomach.
The Temporal Storage smiled.
"As I said... this is only a fraction of what I can do. My true power is far greater."
Ivy remained silent for several seconds. Then she looked at the golden bird.
"If I didn't know any better... I would think you're some kind of immortal."
The Temporal Storage chuckled. "I wish I were."
It then turned toward Silas. "There is something else. There is a certain poison inside your body."
Both Ivy and Silas immediately frowned. "Poison?"
Silas looked directly at the golden bird. "What kind of poison?"
The bird tilted its head slightly.
"It's a very small amount. Someone has been administering it gradually. As long as that poison remains in your body, there is a high chance that one day it will cause your body to explode from within. Or... you may completely lose control of your mind."
Ivy's and Silas's expressions immediately became grim. Their hands unconsciously tightened into fists.
Neither of them had realised that poison had already been slowly accumulating inside Silas's body.
The temporal storage didn't give them any time to worry. A brilliant golden light immediately enveloped Silas.
He felt something cold being pulled out of his veins.
The heaviness that had been weighing on his chest for so long seemed to disappear.
When the light finally faded, Silas felt considerably lighter. He looked toward the golden bird with genuine gratitude.
"Thank you."
The Temporal Storage casually waved one of its wings. Then, its body suddenly changed.
Within seconds, it became a tiny earring.
Ivy stared at it in surprise.
'It can even transform into this form?'
The earring was so small that someone who wasn't paying close attention might not even notice it.
The earring flew toward Ivy's ears, and the familiar voice of the Temporal Storage echoed in her mind.
"From now on... I won't transform into that jade bracelet or jade necklace anymore. Just keep wearing me like this. No one can snatch me away from you. Even if someone manages to obtain my physical form, my soul has already become connected to yours."
Hearing those words, Ivy's curiosity immediately returned.
"Temporal Storage, if you can reach such a level, then what about Silas's Temporal Storage?"
The temporal storage became silent for a moment.
Then it calmly answered,
"It's a part of me. In fact, it's an extremely tiny fragment of my original existence. There was once a time when I was incredibly powerful. However, I was eventually broken into countless pieces. Now, there are many other temporal storages scattered throughout different places. All of them are fragments of me. But... I don't know their limits. I don't know how far each of them can grow."
Ivy's eyes flickered with curiosity. "Then can I transfer some of my kindness points to Silas?"
The temporal storage tilted its head.
"For now, I can help you transfer a maximum of five thousand trillion points. That is the highest amount I can transfer. Afterward, I will have to enter a deep sleep for an entire month."
Ivy didn't hesitate. "That's fine. I want to see what Silas's temporal storage looks like."
Silas immediately waved his hand. "No. You shouldn't do that."
Ivy turned toward him and glared. Silas frowned.
"Ivy, I can earn my own points. I'm already at one billion points."
Ivy crossed her arms.
"Don't you want another layer of protection? What if some kind of danger comes your way? What if something happens to you? If I lose you..."
Her expression became serious. "I'll lose my biggest trump card."
Silas stared at her for a moment. Then he sighed helplessly. "You really don't know how to argue properly."
The next second, Ivy turned toward the Temporal Storage. "Transfer five thousand trillion kindness points to Silas."
The Temporal Storage immediately responded. "Understood."
A brilliant light surrounded Silas.
He felt a strange warmth spread through his body, and a familiar voice suddenly echoed inside his mind.
"Would you like me to transfer two thousand five hundred trillion points to me? I can demonstrate a portion of my abilities."
Silas's expression twitched. He slowly looked toward Ivy.
"I think all temporal storages are connected to that enormous temporal storage somehow."
He paused. "Because apparently, all of you are scammers."
Ivy couldn't help laughing. However, before either of them could say anything else, another brilliant light appeared around Silas's hand.
A tiny plant materialised in his palm. Unlike Ivy's green-coloured temporal storage, this plant was completely golden.
Its delicate leaves swayed cheerfully. The tiny plant turned toward Ivy and Silas.
"Since you have given me so many points... I'll show you the peak of my current strength."
The plant paused. "Do you have any blueprints?"
Ivy and Silas exchanged a glance. Ivy immediately took out one of the blueprints her own Temporal Storage had given her.
"This one?"
The golden plant reached toward it. The moment it touched the blueprint, it closed its tiny eyes.
The blueprint suddenly vanished. Before Ivy and Silas could even react... Whoosh!
Countless weapons suddenly began raining down from above. One weapon after another crashed onto the ground.
Every single one was identical. They were exact replicas of the weapon shown in the blueprint Ivy had provided.
Ivy and Silas stood there completely speechless.
They slowly exchanged glances. 'Did it really just copy the blueprint instantly?'
The golden plant swayed happily before turning toward Silas.
"If you have any other weapons you want to manufacture, just give me the blueprint. I can produce them endlessly. I have already reached the current peak of my abilities."
Ivy's eyes immediately sparkled. "Wait. What if we create a blueprint ourselves and include all the features we want?"
The golden plant paused.
"If you create something overly exaggerated, such as a sword capable of killing ten thousand or twenty thousand Superior Beings simultaneously, but you haven't actually designed a functioning blueprint for it... then it will fail. You need to provide a workable blueprint."
Ivy nodded thoughtfully. "I understand."
Her own temporal storage had already fallen asleep after transferring so many points, meaning she couldn't ask it anything for the time being.
But a thought had already formed in Ivy's mind. 'If I've been given this kind of power... then before I leave Earth, I absolutely need to build my own city.'
...................................
Meanwhile, somewhere else, someone else felt as though her entire world was slowly becoming real.
That person was Annie. Gwen was holding Annie's hand. Her expression was unusually sincere.
"Thank you."
Annie waved her free hand dismissively. "There's really no need to act so cheesy."
This time, however, Gwen didn't pull away. Instead, she looked directly into Annie's eyes.
Her expression became serious.
"In the future, I'll definitely repay you. And... I'm sorry for how immature I behaved before."
Annie paused. She looked at Gwen suspiciously.
"Why are you suddenly acting like this? Don't tell me you're plotting something behind my back again."
Gwen's expression twitched. She immediately pointed at Annie. "It's completely useless trying to speak politely with you."
Annie gave a faint laugh. "Well, I learned it from you."
The next moment, the atmosphere that had briefly become emotional completely disappeared.
The two sisters immediately began bickering again.
Annie's brother and Felix were lying on the sofa nearby, watching the entire drama unfold.
Both of them rolled their eyes. "They really know how to turn an emotional moment into a fight."
"At least they actually look like sisters."
Even though Annie and Gwen continued throwing jabs at each other, there was an unmistakable warmth between them.
They argued like ordinary sisters. And somehow, that ordinary closeness made the two men watching them feel strangely envious.
Felix had never quite fit in with his siblings. They often considered him too idiotic to take seriously.
Meanwhile, Annie's adopted brother had always carried a different kind of insecurity. He had been adopted.
