Chapter 802: Chapter 802: Silas’s Singing

Ivy studied Bella for a moment before raising an eyebrow.

"You seem to take his side quite often. Is it possible that you, Bella, actually..."

Bella immediately shook her head.

"I do not have a particularly good impression of him, but I am constantly worried about you."

Ivy paused before a small smile appeared on her face.

"Thank you for thinking about me."

Bella shook her head gently. "Ivy, just take care of yourself."

With that, she stood up, but before leaving, she hesitated.

Her fingers briefly tightened around the edge of her sleeve as she looked at Ivy with an uncertain expression.

"Ivy, this time I heard that the reason Silas fought with you was because of Nanami. I genuinely think that it is unsafe for us to continue traveling with Nanami."

Ivy’s expression became slightly more serious. "I will consider it."

Bella visibly relaxed and let out a quiet sigh of relief. "As long as you keep it in mind, that is enough."

With that, she turned around and left. Not long afterward, another knock sounded against the door.

Ivy massaged her forehead, already feeling a faint headache coming on, before walking over and letting Jade inside.

Jade looked at her seriously, and the first thing he said was, "If Silas is causing you too much trouble, let me know. I am partially responsible and can’t do nothing."

Ivy shook her head.

"There is no need. He and I will eventually reach an understanding about this."

Jade shook his head, his expression becoming complicated.

"I do not want to create any more trouble in your married life."

Ivy paused before smiling. "If I did not know any better, I would think that you are our biggest supporter."

Jade shook his head. "I am not your biggest supporter, but I owe both of you far too much."

He paused and looked at Ivy with a serious expression. "We should stay away from Nanami."

Ivy froze.

’This is the third person who has warned me about him.’

She subconsciously asked, "Why?"

Jade’s expression darkened.

"I had a vision about him. In that vision, he was not a good person. He was constantly experimenting on various humans. I am genuinely beginning to wonder whether he has some kind of motive concerning this Earth and the superior beings. If that motive is serious enough to make him betray even the current person sitting on the throne, then whatever he is planning must be extremely dangerous."

Ivy nodded slowly. "I will keep that in mind."

She looked at him for another moment before gesturing toward the door.

"You can leave now."

Jade clenched his fist at his side. For a moment, he seemed reluctant to say what was on his mind, but eventually, he gathered his courage.

"Ivy, if Silas treats you badly in the future, just leave him. It is not as though there are no other humans left in this world."

Ivy arched an eyebrow.

"Is this your way of saying that you are waiting for me?"

Jade immediately shook his head.

"In this life, I would never be worthy of you again because of what I did to you in your previous life. Therefore, I would never dare to believe that you would give me another chance. Even if you choose to give someone else a chance, remember that you are not alone. You have people who will stand behind you."

Ivy’s expression softened.

"Thank you for your kind and warm words. I will definitely convey them to Silas so that he can understand your true sincerity."

Jade’s expression became awkward for a moment. He simply waved his hand before turning around and leaving.

Once the door closed behind him, Ivy was finally alone.

She glanced toward the curtain where Silas was still hiding. "If you like, you can stay behind the curtain and not come out."

Silas finally stepped out from behind the curtain.

He looked at Ivy with a thoughtful expression before speaking.

"That Jade... I keep feeling as though he is some kind of green-tea bitch."

Ivy almost spat out the water she had been drinking. She coughed before pointing accusingly at Silas.

"If you are going to say something that explosive, at least wait until I have finished eating or drinking whatever is in my mouth."

Silas nodded seriously. "I understand."

He then walked over to Ivy and gently began massaging her hand and shoulder.

"Is your back hurting? I can massage that too."

Ivy laughed softly.

"If you are here, will Nanami not become suspicious about your whereabouts?"

Silas chuckled.

"Do not worry about it. My clone has already gone there."

Hearing that, Ivy could not help laughing again.

"You truly know how to create trouble, do you not? What if he tries to talk to you?"

Silas chuckled with complete confidence.

"Well, he definitely will not try to do that. After all, I will not be in any condition to reply to him. "

Meanwhile, Nanami had already used his senses to track Silas’s presence. He quickly discovered that Silas was inside one of the apartments.

Curiosity flickered in his eyes as he walked toward the apartment and knocked on the door.

When the door opened, Asher appeared.

Asher narrowed his eyes slightly upon seeing Nanami.

"What do you want?"

Nanami quickly replied, "I wanted to meet your brother."

Asher studied him for a moment before simply nodding and moving aside.

"Come in."

Nanami entered and sat down on the sofa. His senses immediately detected Silas’s presence somewhere nearby.

’He is in the bathroom.’

Nanami waited.

Ten minutes passed.

Then twenty.

Then half an hour.

Eventually, an entire hour had passed, yet Silas still had not come out. Nanami frowned and looked toward Asher.

"Your brother has been in the bathroom for the past hour. Should you not be worried about him?"

Asher casually waved his hand.

"It is part of his regular routine. For the past two days, he has simply stayed inside the bathroom and constantly sung heartbroken songs, as though he has been betrayed by some kind of goddess. He only comes out at night."

Nanami stared at him in disbelief. "Is Silas not behaving strangely?"

Asher casually waved his hand again. "Silas has always been like this since childhood."

Then he suddenly paused and looked at Nanami with a thoughtful expression.

"Wait. I think you were the last person he had seen."

Hearing that, Nanami quickly raised both hands in denial.

"I am not the one responsible for your brother’s condition."

Asher casually waved his hand.

"I know, I know. My brother is not gay, and even if he were, he would not choose you."

Nanami’s lips twitched slightly, and for a moment, he did not know how to respond to that blunt remark.

He eventually stood up, straightening his clothes with a faintly irritated expression.

"Since your brother will not come out until tonight, I will just check on him myself."

With that, he marched toward the bathroom.

What surprised Nanami was that Asher did not stop him at all.

’Why is he not stopping me?’

Nanami had expected Asher to block his path or at least warn him against disturbing his brother.

Instead, Asher remained comfortably seated on the sofa, looking completely unconcerned.

For a brief moment, Nanami even wondered whether Silas had left his clone inside the bathroom.

If that were the case, the clone would simply ignore him and refuse to respond, no matter how long he stood there.

However, when Nanami reached the bathroom, he heard Silas’s voice echoing from inside.

"You are my love, but you broke my heart so badly. I do not want to love anymore. You have made me hate the very word love."

Nanami stood there in silence. His lips twitched as he stared at the closed bathroom door.

’This cannot possibly be real.’

Yet the voice sounded so genuine that he became increasingly certain that Silas was actually inside.

Finally, Nanami raised his voice. "Silas!"

The singing immediately stopped. The sudden silence that followed felt almost comical.

Nanami waited for a moment before speaking again. "Are you going to come out?"

"Not for now." Silas answered in a grim voice.

Nanami sighed.

"I will try again at night, then. I will wait for you at our usual spot at eight in the evening."

A few seconds of silence passed before Silas’s voice finally came from inside.

"All right."

Then, after another brief pause, Silas spoke again.

"Do you have anything else that you want?"

Nanami did not answer.

Instead, he stood there for a few more seconds, listening.
