Zombie Bodyguard

Chapter 2079 - 2076: Confession

Chapter 2079: Chapter 2076: Confession

"It’s fine, don’t pay attention to him, let’s go in." Lin Tian said calmly.

"But that Big Wolf..." Ah Dai hesitated for a moment. According to the style of Soul Hunters, when it comes to provocations, Soul Hunters cannot back down, otherwise, they would lose face in this circle. Winning or losing becomes secondary; what matters is not losing momentum and courage.

However, little did he know, Lin Tian wasn’t afraid of trouble nor was he worried, he simply wasn’t interested. It’s like seeing an ant crawl past in a corner; one wouldn’t go out of the way to challenge an ant—it’s just not on the same level.

Still, before Ah Dai could finish speaking, the Soul Hunters started to scatter, creating a pathway. It turned out Big Wolf was coming out again, but the Soul Hunters weren’t making way for him, it was something beside him—a "dog"?

"Ghost Wolf?" Lin Tian and Zhang Lingyu immediately recognized the "dog’s" true essence—it was indeed a wolf, just like the mount of Ghost Wolf Yaksha.

With red eyes and a tall wolf body, the Ghost Wolf gazed at the surrounding Soul Hunters with a savage, bloodthirsty look. This fierce Ghost Wolf was tamed by the burly man, proving that Big Wolf indeed had some skills.

"Brother Lin, this Big Wolf understands secret techniques for taming beasts and has tamed the Ghost Wolf. In battles, he coordinates with the Ghost Wolf, making his combat power formidable, ordinary Soul Hunters can’t match him." Ah Dai quietly reminded.

Hearing this, Zhang Lingyu and Xiao Manxuan exchanged a smile. Lin Tian dared to face a Giant Pig; how could he possibly fear a Ghost Wolf? But they didn’t say a word, too lazy to explain.

Big Wolf bent down, whispered something into the Ghost Wolf’s ear, causing its eyes to glow red. It bared its sharp fangs and started walking towards Lin Tian.

The Ghost Wolf had no chains binding it, and the other Soul Hunters held their breath, nervously looking on. Should the Ghost Wolf lose control, its destructive power would be overwhelming.

Lin Tian calmly met the Ghost Wolf’s gaze without moving an inch, allowing it to approach. Then suddenly, this savage Ghost Wolf lay down, its bloodthirsty gaze fading into a look of fear.

At the moment, the Ghost Wolf was truly like a small dog—submissive and fearful—lying on the ground, emitting a whimpering sound and shivering all over.

The Soul Hunters were clear now. The savage Ghost Wolf, upon encountering the more formidable Giant Pig, had no choice but to submit. Lin Tian, carrying the aura of the Giant Pig, appeared as one to the Ghost Wolf.

Big Wolf was utterly embarrassed, having loudly challenged Lin Tian earlier, now shame fell most heavily upon him; no matter how he called, the Ghost Wolf wouldn’t respond.

Often flaunting with the Ghost Wolf among the Soul Hunters, Big Wolf’s swagger was extinguished in an instant.

"Let’s go." Lin Tian casually said, stepping forward into the hall. As he walked past the Ghost Wolf, it was too frightened to move.

The Soul Hunters watched Lin Tian leave, their eyes filled with reverence.

Entering the quarters, Ah Dai couldn’t help but raise his thumb in admiration: "Brother Lin, that was amazing. Without lifting a finger, you’ve subdued both the Ghost Wolf and Big Wolf. This will surely put the brakes on their arrogance."

"Does he dare even challenge your leader?" Lin Tian glanced at Shangguan Ao Yue with curiosity.

"He’s bold but not to that extent, though he does have a rebellious streak. That guy works alone, doesn’t join any team, yet completes many difficult tasks, hence his arrogance and pride." Ah Dai remarked, honestly without intentionally belittling him, just disliking his attitude.

This also showed Ah Dai’s good nature, as he wouldn’t easily disparage others to elevate himself.

As they spoke, they reached a courtyard, where a secluded small building stood. Ah Dai sheepishly smiled, "This is the residence of our leader and Hongyue, Ziyue. You go on ahead, I’ll stay down."

At the residence of the three sisters of the Shangguan family, though not at their home, it was akin to a private chamber. Lin Tian paused momentarily but proceeded to climb.

Reached the third floor, without even knocking, the door opened. Ziyue was behind it, evidently having heard them.

Seeing Shangguan Ao Yue, Ziyue rejoiced, "Big Sister, you’re back?"

She hurriedly approached, inspecting her from head to toe. Only after confirming she was unharmed did she breathe a sigh of relief, "Big Sister, I’m so glad you’re back safely. That Ah Dai, how could he not notify us?"

"Don’t blame him, he just wanted to surprise you." Shangguan Ao Yue reassured her.

"Big Sister?" A female voice came from inside. Lin Tian noticed Hongyue holding onto the wall, walking out.

The female assassin’s face was still a bit pale, but her energy and spirit were much better, and she could walk with ease, showing her extraordinary physical resilience.

Hongyue also saw Lin Tian beside her, a look of undisguised delight appearing in her eyes. Ziyue quickly went over to support her, but as she approached she glanced at Lin Tian, her look was peculiar, not the dislike she had before; rather, she looked a bit flushed.

Lin Tian was even more puzzled by Ziyue’s attitude change. Could it be due to Hongyue’s influence causing her to completely reconsider? It’s said that twins have a remarkable psychic connection, liking similar people and things.

Everyone settled in the living room, the atmosphere becoming slightly odd, as the few beauties were focused on Lin Tian.

Ziyue glanced at Lin Tian, then at her big sister, suddenly saying, "Big Sister, Hongyue and I have decided, from now on we’ll follow Lin Tian, become his women."

"Cough cough..." Lin Tian was startled by this, almost choking himself with saliva.

Gosh, are girls from the Netherworld always this direct? Lin Tian was baffled, his perception being refreshed yet again.

Xiao Manxuan bit her lip, wanting to say something but then refrained; Zhang Lingyu’s eyes were odd, making Lin Tian suspicious she might throw a big Fireball at any moment.

Suddenly the room went quiet, though internal waves surged within each person. Finally, Shangguan Ao Yue spoke, "Did you all think this through? Weren’t you displeased with Lin Tian before?"

Lin Tian was more surprised now, Shangguan Ao Yue, as the elder sister, didn’t outright oppose but instead asked if they were sure.

Ziyue nodded without hesitation, "We’ve thought it through. Hongyue talked a lot with me, and I understand now. Before, I was too capricious, misunderstanding him. Actually, he’s quite handsome."

Though the last line was pleasant to hear and quite factual, Lin Tian still asked, "Aren’t you going to consider my opinion?"

"You don’t want this?" Shangguan Ao Yue’s brow furrowed slightly, seeming to catch underlying meaning.

It was undeniable, Hongyue and Ziyue were beautiful, with good figures and skills, plus being twins. All these factors combined, most men would find it hard to refuse.

But Lin Tian was not most men, so he thought it over and decided to reveal the truth.

"There’s something I need to be straightforward with you about—Xuanxuan, Lingyu, and I are not from the Netherworld, but... from the Human Realm, that is, what you call the human world." Lin Tian confessed his identity with the simplest words, cutting through confusion decisively.

The three sisters of Shangguan Ao Yue were indeed stunned, taking quite a while to process this information.

"Mu Yun Envoy, is what he said true?" Shangguan Ao Yue asked, with a shock comparable to witnessing a Giant Pig, for in her understanding, humans were weak; how could they possibly venture into the Netherworld?
