10,000x Rebate System: Every Return Makes Me Stronger
Chapter 25: First Dungeon [1][Two Days Later]
Amon stepped off the train and walked out of the station in Rove, a remote city located several hours away from Langton.
The city was considerably quieter than the place he was used to, with fewer buildings and almost no large crowds around the station.
He adjusted the strap of his bag and continued walking until he noticed a black car parked near the entrance.
A man wearing a neat grey suit stood beside it, holding a small board with a name written across it.
Amon immediately walked toward him.
The man noticed him approaching and quickly recognized his face from the photograph he had received.
"Mr. Amon?"
"That’s me."
The man smiled before extending his hand.
"Good to meet you." He looked him up and down. "...I was told you were a lot fatter."
"....Not a nice way to smart a conversation."
Amon shook his hand before the man cleared his throat and opened the rear door of the car.
"Please, get inside."
Amon nodded and entered the vehicle.
The man walked around the car and took the driver’s seat before starting the engine.
As the car slowly moved away from the station, the man glanced at Amon through the rear-view mirror.
"My name is Thomas. Sir Richard should have informed you about me."
Amon nodded. "He did."
Thomas smiled slightly. "Good. Then I suppose you already know why you’re here."
"The dungeon."
"Exactly."
Amon leaned back in his seat. "Is everything prepared?"
"Yes." Thomas nodded.
"Although you’ll be the first person entering the dungeon, so there isn’t much information I can give you."
Amon frowned slightly. "Yeah, Richard told me."
"Yes. The dungeon only finished stabilizing recently."
Thomas continued driving while explaining what little information they had.
"We’ve detected monsters ranging from Level 1 to Level 5 inside."
Amon listened carefully. "And the boss?"
"Estimated to be around Level 10."
Amon nodded.
That wasn’t particularly dangerous for most experienced adventurers, but it was still far above his current level.
Thomas continued. "Try to remember the monsters you encounter."
"We’ll record every species and their approximate strength after you return."
Amon nodded. "Understood."
Thomas became quiet for a moment before sighing.
"There is one more thing."
Amon looked toward him.
"I probably don’t need to say this, but..." Thomas glanced at him through the mirror. "Be careful."
Amon smiled.
"Don’t worry." He leaned farther back into the seat. "I’ll be fine."
Thomas didn’t look particularly convinced.
Amon, however, had already opened his System.
He moved through his notifications until he found the reward he had received from gifting the Absolute Freeze tablet to Seraphina.

---
Amon’s eyes brightened. ’This isn’t as powerful as Absolute Freeze, but it’s still damn good.’
The skill was clearly meant for dealing with enemies, and considering what he was about to enter, it might come in handy.
Thomas suddenly spoke. "We’re almost there."
Amon closed the System.
"Alright."
He reached toward his bag and began taking out his equipment.
His first piece of equipment was a lightweight set of armor.
It consisted of a dark chest piece reinforced with thin metal plates, flexible shoulder guards, armored gloves, and lightweight boots.
Unlike heavy armor, it didn’t restrict his movement.
Amon then equipped his weapons.
A short sword rested against his waist while a broad-headed battle axe was secured across his back.
He had originally considered using only the sword, but carrying both weapons gave him more options.
Thomas glanced at him through the mirror.
"You brought quite a lot."
Amon smiled. "I like having choices."
---
The car eventually stopped, and Amon stepped outside and looked ahead.
A massive stone structure stood several dozen meters away.
At first glance, it looked like a giant cave entrance surrounded by jagged black rocks.
However, the entire entrance was covered in a faint white glow.
The light continuously pulsed across the surface like a beating heart.
Amon immediately recognized what it meant. ’The lowest dungeon classification.’
White light. The safest type of dungeon entrance.
At least, according to the information Walton Academy had provided.
Thomas stepped out of the car. "This is it."
Amon looked toward him and nodded. "Thanks for bringing me."
Thomas gave him a serious look. "Remember what I said."
Amon smiled. "I’ll be careful."
He turned toward the dungeon entrance.
Taking a deep breath, he slowly walked forward.
The moment he crossed the boundary, his surroundings completely changed.
---
Unfiltered mana.
It immediately crashed against Amon’s body from every direction.
His eyes widened slightly when the Mana Furnace inside his body suddenly activated on its own.
’Hummm.’
The enormous amount of mana surrounding him began flowing toward his body.
His pores opened as the energy was absorbed.
Amon took a deep breath. The strange pressure he had felt outside the dungeon disappeared.
Instead, he felt strangely comfortable.
’This feels like home.’ Amon couldn’t help but smile.
The dungeon stretched ahead of him like an endless underground forest.
Pale crystals grew from the walls and ceiling, providing the only source of light.
Thin streams of glowing water flowed between the rocks while strange plants covered the ground.
The air was cold and filled with dense mana.
Amon slowly looked around. ’So this is a real dungeon.’
He had entered one before, but that had been under completely different circumstances.
This time, he was here as an adventurer.
A small movement suddenly caught his attention.
Something was crawling across the ground.
Amon looked down, and a snail-like creature was slowly moving toward him.
Its body was covered in pale armor, while two long antennae extended from its head.
Amon activated his System.
[Dungeon Creature]
[Name: Mana Snail]
[Level: 1]
[Threat Level: Low]
Amon stared at it for a moment. "That’s it?"
The snail continued crawling toward him.
Amon raised his hand. "I don’t even need to waste my axe on you."
Mana immediately gathered around his fingers.
"Frost Spear."
A wave of freezing energy gathered in his hand, condensed, and quickly turned into a spear.
The snail suddenly stopped moving when the spear hit it, and a thin layer of ice covered its entire body.
"Easy."
Amon walked past it and continued deeper into the dungeon.
However, after taking only a few steps, he suddenly stopped.
Something else was coming from the direction the snail had come from.
Slowly, more and more snails began to crawl out of the small spaces.
The pale creatures were crawling out from between the rocks and plants, slowly surrounding the area.
Their antennae moved toward Amon as dozens of tiny bodies crawled over one another.
Amon stared at the enormous swarm.
"...You have got to be fucking kidding me."
