Amon’s eyes fluttered open with a low groan.

The first thing that filled his vision was a pair of long, elegant legs crossed elegantly in front of him.

Smooth skin disappeared into dark thigh-high stockings that hugged the soft curves of her thighs, the lace tops sitting high enough to draw the eye.

Before he could look any longer, Felicia calmly shifted and covered her legs with the edge of her long coat. "You’ve got some nerve."

Amon’s eyes widened.

He immediately jerked backward and sat upright, looking around the unfamiliar room.

The place looked nothing like an ordinary compartment.

The walls were decorated with polished dark wood, while a thick carpet covered the floor beneath his feet.

A large sofa sat near the opposite wall, accompanied by a small table covered with expensive-looking ornaments.

Even the seats were covered in soft leather, and a faint golden light from the ceiling gave the entire room the appearance of a luxurious hotel suite.

Amon slowly looked around. "...Where the hell am I?"

His gaze eventually returned to Felicia.

He suddenly looked down at himself before covering his chest with both hands.

His expression became horrified. "Did you take advantage of my body while I was unconscious?"

The cold edge made him freeze and slowly raise both hands. "Okay, okay. I was joking."

Felicia looked at him with a tired expression. "You really are a dumb boy."

Felicia made the blade disappear and said, "If I were you, I’d be checking those jewels instead."

Amon blinked before immediately looking down.

He quickly touched his pants and confirmed that everything was still intact.

A long sigh of relief escaped his mouth. "Thank God."

Felicia stared at him for several seconds before shaking her head. "I sometimes wonder what goes through that head of yours."

Amon ignored the comment and looked around again. "Where are we?"

Felicia leaned against the comfortable seat. "A private train coach."

Amon walked toward the window and pulled the curtain aside.

Sure enough, the train was moving rapidly through a barren stretch of land.

There were almost no buildings anywhere in sight, only dry fields and distant hills disappearing beneath the evening sky.

Amon swallowed. "Where are you taking me?"

Felicia smiled faintly. "To the Duke of Edinburgh."

’...Fuck my life.’ Amon groaned inwardly. ’I still have no idea how I would help them.’

Amon glanced at Felicia, who looked back with a thin smile appearing on her lips. "But before we get there, I’d like to ask you something."

Amon immediately became cautious. "What?"

"What exactly were you doing alone with my daughter?"

Amon’s expression stiffened.

"...Nothing." Amon cleared his throat. "Actually, since we’re talking about important matters, would you be willing to help me with a business idea?"

"No."

The answer came so quickly that Amon nearly choked. "At least hear me out."

Felicia sighed, crossing her arms. "Fine, tell me what stupid idea you have."

Amon rubbed his chin before explaining. "I want to start a business related to adventurers."

Felicia’s expression became slightly more interested, but she didn’t stop mocking him. "How original."

Amon continued, pointing at his eyes. "I can see things that other people can’t."

He paused briefly before choosing his words carefully. "I can find areas where mana is more concentrated than normal, and if I locate them early enough, I could potentially buy the land before its value becomes known."

Felicia listened silently with a little more interest.

Amon continued.

"Then I’d build facilities there." His eyes became more serious.

"There are plenty of adventurers who travel long distances just to reach dungeons or mana-rich areas. If I can create a place where they can train, rest, and prepare for expeditions, there’s money to be made."

Felicia leaned farther back. "You’ve thought about this more than I expected."

Amon smiled. "I’ve been thinking about it for a while."

Felicia’s expression remained skeptical. "Do you actually understand how difficult it is to find mana-enriched land?"

"Yes." Amon nodded without hesitation. "That’s why I said I can find them."

Felicia studied him carefully. "I don’t believe you."

Amon’s smile disappeared. "...Why?"

"Because what you’re describing sounds too convenient." Felicia tilted her head. "Either you have an extraordinary ability or you’re trying to scam me."

Amon looked genuinely offended. "Do I look like a scammer?"

"Yes." Felicia stared at him. "Besides, Daniel Edinburgh would probably agree with me."

Amon’s smile faded.

Felicia’s tone became more serious as she slowly talked like a mother explaining something to a clueless child.

"You don’t understand how expensive it can become when you interfere with people who have more power than you."

She looked toward the passing landscape outside. "You only need to look at the Cordo family to understand that."

Amon blinked as everything clicked into place.

"...Wait." He slowly looked at her. "Are you the one who gave Lucian the information about the illegal auction?"

Felicia didn’t answer. All she did was smile without denying or confirming his words.

But that smile was enough for him to understand it was her work.

Amon rubbed his forehead. "I almost died because of that."

Felicia finally looked toward him. "You were at one of those auctions?"

Amon nodded. "I was."

Felicia clicked her tongue. "I knew you weren’t up to anything good."

"I wasn’t there to participate." Amon frowned. "I wanted to expose them."

Felicia’s expression immediately became serious. "Don’t do that."

Amon paused, tilting his head in confusion.

Her voice carried none of its earlier playfulness.

"Those savages aren’t like ordinary criminals." Felicia’s eyes narrowed.

"They’ve spent years building their influence, their connections, and their businesses. If they believe someone can seriously harm them, they’ll remove that person without hesitation."

Amon slowly nodded. "I’ll keep that in mind."

He understood what she was saying.

The Cordo family wasn’t dangerous simply because they had money.

They were dangerous because they had survived for so long by doing things most ordinary people wouldn’t even consider.

Amon leaned against the wall and crossed his arms. "So, did you give Lucian enough information to frame them without exposing yourself?"

Felicia didn’t answer. She just closed her eyes, and after several seconds, she spoke again. "I’ll consider your business proposal."

Amon raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

"Yes." Felicia opened one eye. "But only if you can help the Duke’s daughter."

Amon’s expression became thoughtful. "What kind of sickness does she have?"

"That’s what you’ll find out." Felicia closed her eyes again. "If you can help her, I’ll seriously consider investing in your idea."

Amon thought for a moment. "And what happens if I actually manage to help her?"

"I might decide not to kill you because of Seraphina." Felicia’s smile widened. "But the Duke of Edinburgh will definitely kill you."

Amon stared at her. "Why?"

Felicia got comfortable as they had a long journey ahead.

"Because you’ll be dealing with his daughter," she replied. "A daughter he loves dearly."
