Himura was blaming Shinozaki. He did not know exactly what had happened, but he knew that her interference had caused this.
Several hours had passed, and the city still had electricity. The electric company was handling all the consumption. Therefore, it was reasonable to assume that the excess crystals Masaru had obtained could be one of the reasons for this.
He could not prove it, nor did he have any data on how many crystals Masaru had obtained, but he knew there had been many.
Himura stood up and began walking from one side to the other. He paused several times and looked out the window.
He did not know what to do. Shinozaki was in the room, and she looked at him. She also did not know what to do.
She knew he was blaming her, but at that moment, she was on the weaker side. She could not do anything.
"Millions of coins are being consumed by our companies every hour. We need to stop the machines, but if we do that, the plan will be ruined."
Himura wanted to give up, but he knew it was already too late for that.
’Damn Shinozaki,’ he thought as he looked at her with a smile on his face.
Tsukishiro was dissatisfied with this and very irritated with his own team, as well as with Himura and Shinozaki. He wanted to be informed of any unforeseen circumstances, but no one had ever contacted him to tell him about this. But he did not know if someone from his own team was also hiding some information.
Not knowing something was something he hated, which was why he had such great control over the potion company.
He was the kind of boss nobody would want to have, but at the same time, he was very careful and controlled with everything the company did. That was why the company had reached where it was.
He approached a secretary who was working overtime and ordered her to make a report with all the information they had collected.
His nephew was the one who usually made the report, but this time he decided to give the work to someone else.
He sat in the presidential chair and began meditating. He wanted to calm down a little, since he did not know what to think or what to do about the problem.
He quickly reached the fifth stage and remained like that for about forty minutes. The secretary interrupted him.
This irritated him, but he did not complain, since he had asked her to do this work. Even so, he had expected her to take a little longer with the task.
She placed some papers on the desk and left the room. He began reading, and there was no information about any mistake in that report.
He did not know exactly what he should be looking for, so he was considering everything that seemed strange and could cause some problem.
He became calmer and began thinking about what had gone wrong.
’There are many guilds in the city. Someone could have had some stock and offered it to the company,’ he thought as he looked at an advertisement from Masaru’s guild.
’So that’s what happened. That bastard started using the plan against us,’ he thought as he looked at the highest crystal purchase price.
But even so, he knew that he could not have acted alone. A single guild would not be able to obtain so many crystals in such a short time, unless he already knew that this could happen.
He began looking at all the loans. More than a million gold coins had been lent to Masaru, and he had always managed to repay the loans. He had even managed to pay everything he owed, including all the interest Shinozaki had added.
’How?’
Tsukishiro picked up the phone and called the secretary. He did not know her name. He only knew that she had a very beautiful butt that would look much better wearing gym shorts than that black skirt that any dull secretary wore.
"Find out everything you can about the Kurosawa Guild," he said as he looked at the advertisement.
He could not take his eyes away from it, since he was very curious.
’Something happened, and this guild is related to the problem,’ he thought as he tried to return to his meditation.
He failed. His mind was too messy, so he gave up trying.
He picked up his cellphone and began sending some messages to Kazuma. He wanted all the information that was possible. But he thought about it carefully and began deleting the message. Using one of Shinozaki’s employees could be terrible. He would certainly agree to hand over the secrets, but she could have been planning to use Kazuma for something like this from the beginning.
He did not know whom to trust. Everyone seemed to be hiding some information from him.
Once again, he became angry. The feeling of seeming to know less and less was bothering him greatly. He no longer knew what to think, nor did he know what he should look for to discover what he wanted to know.
Tsukishiro looked at a timer. More than four hours had already passed since the deadline, and his expenditure was very high. He wanted to stop and turn off the machine, but that would be much worse.
’It is better for me to see with my own eyes what the company’s limit is.’
He stood up and began walking through the potion production company.
Several machines were operating at maximum production. Many potions and pills were being produced, and he was happy about this.
Unlike Himura and Shinozaki, he had found a use for the consumed energy.
Shinozaki’s bank did not have a high enough energy consumption for the energy to be used without losses. The vault was maintained by an autonomous system that consumed energy from an internal furnace, so an energy crisis would never leave the bank unprotected.
He looked at the clock and then went to the office. The secretary was still working. He did not like the idea of employees working for many hours in a row, because they always performed worse. Rest was essential.
He sat in the chair and began checking all the emails and all the information he had, even though he believed the information was incomplete.
He maintained a database with a lot of information that he obtained over time, but he rarely used the database.
’What do I have to look for?’
He kept thinking about information that could be considered trivial and had therefore been ignored by his nephew.
But he did not know what could be considered trivial.
He gave up.
Haru was still on the ninety-ninth floor. He was sitting and watching a women’s volleyball broadcast. He did not hide the excitement he felt when seeing the women jumping and their butts bouncing. Mio looked at him with some disgust, but at the same time, she understood what he felt. Little by little, she was getting used to his behavior.
Mio collected the crystals and handed them to Amanda, who only wanted to go home and sleep.
Masaru would give her a great reward, so she was not complaining much.
"My father is going to give her money and then fire her. That’s a little curious, don’t you think?"
"For what reason is he going to fire her?"
"She is very lazy, and a lot of what she does is wrong. She only works here because my father liked her and found her attractive, but she became a problem. Without Kaede solving the problems, he realized how completely dispensable she is."
"Understandable, but he still has to be careful. It is better for him to fire her while giving her the money, otherwise she will end up spending it all and blaming Masaru for it," Haru said.
"Why do you think that?"
"Something similar happened with my father. An employee was entitled to a bonus. He received it and was then fired for misconduct. To this day, he blames my father for spending everything and almost going bankrupt."
"It makes sense for that to happen. She really is very stupid, and I’m not joking or exaggerating."
Mio stood up to stretch her legs. She was tired of sitting for hours. Hina did the same.
Haru remained sitting on the floor. He was used to staying like that.
Masaru entered the dungeon and watched the monsters being killed one by one. He did not react very well to this. He considered it a monstrosity, but at the same time, he found it interesting. It was a way to solve many problems.
But he understood why Mio and Hina hated this, since all their training would be impaired by them standing still while a skill did everything automatically.
He returned to the lower floors and began killing some monsters. He was collecting some crystals to offset the amount he would lose because of the high stock.
It was easier to sell cheaper crystals, and at the same time, he could use them for potions and pills, so he was being careful.
Moriyama called.
"I need two thousand more dragon crystals. I’ll make an advance payment of some gold coins so that you can bring them to me soon."
