Li Jiwen had never expected to see the Eye of Judgment of the heavenly path ever in his life, at least before the very mark that ended his first life.
But now he had seen it, and he felt the great terror that it was imposing on him and any creature other than the people or the agents of fate.
Li Jiwen looked at the eye and it looked like the eye itself was looking at him.
Red, its pupils were. Dark, its Whites were.
Death was, indeed, staring at the world!
Weirdly enough, he did not hesitate and with great fear in his eyes, he used the Heavenly Concealment Ring and disappeared out of thin air from the actual sight of the heavenly Dao.
Now, he understood that running away was his only option.
If he did not do that, then death was the only path for him.
He must get something before dying, or so he thought.
But now he did not understand exactly why they would do this early.
He understood that the heavenly path was of mysterious ways and mysterious existence.
No heavenly or earthly creature could understand the heavenly path or restrain it.
That was exactly the power of the Dao.
He thought with fear as he was now hiding.
’I must get as much as possible resources and disappear from this place. Probably hundreds or thousands or even hundreds of thousands of powers and trillions of people have already died in the past years. But now it is my own life that is at risk. I don’t care if I survive or not, I must provide for the next life.’
No matter what happened, he would go out and try and finish up as much as possible out of the ten sects and the ten families.
No matter what they had, what happened to them, he must get the resources that were left out of them.
He disappeared with quick motion and targeted the sect that was closest to him.
The great sect that was closer to him had already had heavenly immortals in the past, but no longer now.
It was merely ruins.
The heavenly path did not feel any mercy for those humans, cultivators that steal its own power and longevity.
No one would let a thief survive, would they?
Finally, Li Jiwen began to search for anything and finally found a great vault that was still sealed with some kind of seal.
But as he came closer, the seal felt as if it was recognizing him as an enemy of fate.
The entirety of the vault came open and everything inside was turned into a cube of space time that flew entirely into Li Jiwen’s body at his will, that it merged his own existence into the Changdu space.
He said, "That’s interesting, it can detect the enemies of fate."
He decided that no matter what, he must do this to the entire families and ten sects as well.
But before he could decide to do that, his own cultivation suddenly became greater and he broke into the Soul Transformation realm.
But suddenly with this breakthrough, the heavenly tribulation came down his head.
He looked at the heavens, then gritted his teeth and said, "The heavenly path does not want me to survive at all. It wanted me to do this just to get exposed to its powers."
Li Jiwen did not even hesitate for a second.
He gave up his own cultivation and came down again to the great perfection stage of the Nascent Soul realm.
Then he disappeared and began to fly into the actual territory of the Great Sage Sect.
Before he could even reach that place, he was being followed again by the agents of fate itself.
Li Jiwen looked around.
He could feel auras that were beyond his own, that were beyond anything that he had ever felt before, even the power of Fang Liu.
This was so powerful, so different that he did not even hesitate.
He used his void step again and again to the point that his own body was almost collapsed.
But finally he escaped them and he reached the Heavenly Sage Sect.
What surprised him even more was that the Heavenly Sea sect was thriving.
Actual people and the actual masters and disciples all around were thriving with power and energy that he had never felt before.
They were blessed by the heavenly Dao.
They were agents of the Dao and fate.
They had betrayed the will of humans, and they betrayed the human way.
But that did not even stand with Li Jiwen for much.
He understood that now, time was of the essence, and he should escape.
He did not hesitate, and he used the void step ten times again, and disappeared.
This time he decided to visit the Jing family.
To his surprise, they were destroyed as well.
But this time, even the vaults had already been tampered with and destroyed and utterly erased.
He looked at the very actual bloodbath that had taken place here years ago, and he thought, ’That’s interesting. Fearful. This is indeed the path of heaven. This indeed is fate. And this indeed is the path that is against humanity and its own.’
’To hell with you, to hell with fate, and to hell with the heavens!
’If I cannot defeat them, then I will die and come again. If I cannot, I will die and come again, and I will continue until I fucking survive!’
’Whether it be the heavenly Dao or the earthly Dao or whatever Dao that it is, I will survive and be my own master!’
’What is life when you are a slave to another? What is life when you are a slave of fate and the heavenly Dao? That is a life that is devoid of meaning!’
