Li Jiwen flew on, not knowing what was happening.

He continued to fly as he hummed a tune, trying to use the sword in his hand.

But the sword did not even budge. It was just like a hunk of metal.

He moved the sword in the air and said, "Come on, answer me. I know you’re there."

There was nothing in response. The sword continued to be like a hunk of metal and nothing more.

Li Jiwen finally felt defeated.

"Shouldn’t you be a sentient sword!"

"..."

There was not even a single move from the sword, as if wanting to get Li Jiwen into a state of anger.

He said, "Well, that’s it for now, I guess."

Then he put the sword in the spatial pouch.

"Well, now I guess I can see what I can do. I know so little about this world. I should probably go to an agency that sells information and see if they have anything useful for me. I should know the most powerful and the realms of cultivation clearly, as well as the different places all around. Probably this is going to be a long journey, and I will have to stop the heavenly calamity before it hits. In just a span of 10 years."

He finally fell silent and began to move.

For the next five hours, nothing happened. There was no city. There was nothing.

Finally, his face changed.

He said, "I should have asked that woman about anything."

He began to move again.

This time he wanted to see where exactly he could go.

But there was nothing all around. This was the wilderness between cities. It could stretch for hundreds or thousands or hundreds of thousands of li.

Suddenly, as he was concealing his own aura, Li Jiwen could feel something approaching from afar.

A smile went wide on his face.

"People who want to steal from small cultivators."

Three demonic cultivators of the Golden Core Realm appeared in front of him quickly.

Their leader said, "Give us everything you have, and we will spare you."

Li Jiwen smiled at him and said, "Oh, please spare me."

The man looked at him with a question mark on his face and said, "Are you a mad man?"

Li Jiwen suddenly burst into laughter.

"Yeah, I’m okay. I’m just joking with you."

Then his face turned serious.

"Well now, goodbye."

He moved closer to the man in a split second with his hand on the man’s neck.

Before the man could even react, Li Jiwen snapped it.

As the two subordinates watched their leader get killed with a snap of the neck, all color faded from their faces.

The one on the left said, "Please, senior, spare us. Spare us. I’m sorry. I will stop being evil and go back to my city and be a good man."

Li Jiwen smiled at him.

The man tried to argue, "But master, senior, I have a family. My grandma is still alive, and she has only one leg. I’m the one taking care of her."

Li Jiwen moved his hand in front of him and began to move it as if it were a talking doll, changing his face lightly.

"Oh, you have a grandma that is sick?"

The man did not know how to answer such weird words and weird terminology.

He said, "Senior, please, spare us."

Li Jiwen moved his hand in front of him as if he was just coughing.

"I’ll spare you under one condition. Tell me the nearest city, and if you have a map, hand it over with your spatial pouch."

The two men nodded and said, "Yes, yes."

Then they moved their hands and took off the spatial pouch.

But suddenly, Li Jiwen felt his own intuition telling him something.

It was too late.

The man on the right moved his hand and shot out a little needle filled with poison.

He smiled at Li Jiwen and said, "You didn’t see that coming, senior, did you?"

But before it hit, Li Jiwen moved the Blood sword and blocked it.

"Ah, you’re sneaky."

Then he moved the sword in an arc, and two bloody waves shot out, cutting the two men straight down the middle.

Li Jiwen shook his head.

"I guess this world of cultivation is not that safe after all, huh? Well, that’s expected."

He went down and took all three pouches and anything on the men.

"Oh, that’s interesting."

He found something of interest. Exactly the thing he wanted. A map of the entire province.

"Now that is exactly what I need."

Finally, he took everything and smiled.

Suddenly, as he was experiencing true power and the power of a cultivator, five hooded men appeared all around him.

In the very second they appeared, all of them used a sealing formation.

Before Li Jiwen could react, he was pushed to the ground.

His own body got crushed almost to nothing.

Blood swept from his nostrils as well as his orifices.

He said, "What the hell? Who are you?"

The one who was the leader came close to him and said, "Anomaly acquired. Mission complete. We should go back."

But before they could catch Li Jiwen completely, he used his Void Step and fled far away.

This was his only hope.

The five men looked at the place and said exactly at the same time, "How is this possible?!"
