Absolute Loser Becomes The Pleasure King Using Satan System
Chapter 33.This is actually my second life-2Chapter 33: 33.This is actually my second life-2
"Now, I’m not asking you to worship me, but at least show a decent amount of respect. I’m a third-year, you know, your senior."
The blonde girl stood up and grabbed a bottle of water from her study table.
Tossing it toward Mylo, she said, "Drink it. It’ll help you calm down a bit. I get that something really bad happened, but you need to hear people out with a stable mind. Snapping at every little thing isn’t going to solve anything."
Mylo caught the bottle, but he didn’t drink.
He knew he was acting out of character, but it was the direct result of every relentless, suffocating event that had piled up on him recently.
That built-up pressure had finally cracked, causing his rage to spill over onto everyone around him. He knew that better than anyone.
Still, a part of him felt that if he had stayed calm, he never would have found the nerve to confront Warden Amantha in the first place.
That angry, on the nose character allowed him to bypass the load of overthinking and oversimulation inside his head before even uttering a word.
’’Warden Amantha, the one you were fuming over...On the surface, and from your perspective, she must looks like the villain.
’’Someone who assisted in the kidnapping of your friend. But she, listen to me calmly, has her own story, you know," the girl said, explaining while playing with her ponytail.
’’What kind of story could possibly justify allowing a student to be kidnapped, knowing full well how terrifying the consequences could be?’’
A subtle trace of hypocrisy hung in Mylo’s mind almost as if he had already known the answer to his question long ago.
The girl sighed and continued.
"There are a total of twelve hostel buildings affiliated with this college. And out of all of them, this building is probably the safest. That wouldn’t have been possible without her."
Mylo didn’t interrupt, so she carried on explaining.
"Look, I’m not going to dive into all the details, but here’s the bottom line: she probably didn’t have a choice.
’’If she hadn’t complied with them, she would have endangered every other girl in this hostel, too.
’’ I’ve been living here for three years now, and I know her well enough to say she’s kind in her own way.
’’But she isn’t strong. Just like any normal person. And in this world, those who are strong get the final say."
"A very kind lady, huh? Allowing them to just walk out with a girl," Mylo scoffed.
"Enough about her," the girl fired right back.
"It’s not like you’re completely uninvolved in this. Let me ask you a question: are you truly unaware of who did this or why?’’
She moved closer, her shadow towering over him.
’’That panicked look on your face tells me you know exactly how and why you and your girlfriend are dragged into this. Right?"
Her sharp gaze locked onto Mylo, refusing to let him look away.
He nodded slowly and replied, "Yeah.’’
’’Yesterday, I got into an argument with Braden while he was trying to bully Reina alongside his girlfriend. He probably did this to get revenge.’’
"Braden? I expected a different name, but oh well, you have your answer, right? Instead of taking out your anger on someone else, why don’t you think about handling the core issue?"
She sat down on the bed directly opposite him, crossing over her legs and resting her had on her hand supported on her thigh.
"Now, here’s some practical advice for you: don’t go to the police.
’’Yeah, yeah, I know it sounds crazy, but believe me, taking this to the cops will be a terrible move on your part. Instead, I suggest two other options." She raised two fingers.
"First option," she said, tapping her index finger.
"Is to just get on your knees and beg him for forgiveness. Chances are, after he mocks you and lands a few punches, he’ll let you off without any real trouble.
’’The second option is to stand up and deal with it like a man... but the most likely outcome there is having your entire life ruined.
’’That’s just how it works in this world, you know? Wrong place, wrong people, wrong time and everything goes up in flames.
’’Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sure that girl wouldn’t want her life destroyed, would she?"
"You speak with a lot of certainty, don’t you?"
"Yeah, of course I do. Told you, I’m your senior." She smiled and stood up.
"Let me take your immediate worry away so you can at least leave this hostel. Tell me which room your girlfriend is in. I’ll temporarily move in with her."
She grabbed her backpack, stuffed a makeup kit and a few clothes inside, and scooped up her pillow along with her headset.
"That way, you can actually go try to sort this mess out. Just don’t run away on me, okay?"
Mylo looked at her in sheer disbelief, completely baffled by how deeply she was suddenly involving herself.
"Why are you doing this? I thought you just wanted to de-escalate the situation downstairs. You have zero reason to go this far."
"You bet I don’t. But I really hate seeing someone get dragged into unnecessary bullshit. Just take my advice and go ask for his forgiveness."
Mylo stood up and shook his head.
Forgiveness can never be involved when it comes to Briden Vance. I’ll deal with him my own way when the time is right.
He walked over to her.
"First off, she’s not my girlfriend. Just a friend. She’s in Room 250. And second...
’’How are you supposed to stop anything if someone comes for her again? Won’t you just get caught in the middle of it?"
She flashed him a cheeky smirk.
"Aww, worrying about me now, are we? Don’t stress it. No matter how bad things get anywhere on this campus, I’ll probably be the safest person around."
She turned toward the door, intending to head out.
Mylo watched her, his mind racing with questions.
If that’s true, why don’t I remember you?
Why is this the first time I’ve ever met you?
Even in my previous life, I was never aware of someone like you existing here.
"You still haven’t told me your name," he called out.
"Oh yeah, how careless of me! What’s yours first?"
Mylo stepped closer and extended his hand. "I’m Mylo. Mylo Zane."
The blonde girl took his hand, her grip surprisingly firm.
Her eyes narrowed slightly as she shared her name.
"I’m Venice Vance."
Mylo suddenly froze, a sudden wave of disorientation washing over him.
A split second later, his jaw clenched, and his arm shot forward, his hand clamping firmly around Venice’s throat.
"You..." he growled, stepping in close until his face was inches from hers.
"You... You’ve been playing with me this whole time."
His eyes burned into hers with a gaze so dark and lethal it looked as if he was ready to eat her alive where she stood.
He whispered in a deep voice.
"How are you connected to Braden Vance?"
