Chapter 91: 91.I accepted our bind-3

Mylo stood there, genuinely astonished. He remembered her handing him an antler after a spell during their desperate fight, she was full of constant surprises.

"That’s incredible," Mylo said, a warm, genuine smile breaking across his face. "I’m really impressed. Well done, Tritia."

Reaching out, he playfully ruffled her vibrant hair before taking a seat on the stone floor right beside her.

Sitting next to her warmth, a sudden thought struck him.

I need to give her a gift, too.

He still didn’t fully grasp the true depth or full scope of their Matebind connection, but at the very least, he wanted to reciprocate the generosity she had shown him.

Tritia pulled out a few large, fresh leaves she had gathered earlier.

With a subtle shift, the nails of her right hand extended into sharp, glistening talons, effortlessly slicing through the steaming hot Vexfang meat.

Placing a thick, juicy portion onto a leaf, she offered it directly to him.

"Hmm! Here, taste it. It’s the best meat I’ve cooked!"

Mylo hesitantly brought the charred piece of Vexfang meat to his mouth and bit down carefully.

He chewed slowly, letting his senses register the flavor and any potential lingering toxins.

It was surprisingly good, dense, rich, and well-seasoned by the fire. More importantly, his body felt completely fine.

"It’s really good," Mylo said, looking up at her. "And it’s not poisonous at all. You did a great job, Tritia."

"Hmm-hmm!" Tritia let out a happy hum, her red eyes sparkling as she sat down across from him on the cavern floor.

Mylo sat down beside her, and together they began eating the rest of the roasted meat.

As he ate, Mylo called up his System interface with a quiet thought. The blood-red window expanded silently before his eyes, invisible to Tritia.

He flipped straight to the newly unlocked Store tab. A wide array of items, weapons, and specialized gear filled the interface, but the prices were high, so they were locked behind a lock. Looking at his remaining currency, he realized 1,000 Gold wasn’t nearly even close to what he had initially thought.

He scrolled through the listings until his eyes landed on a full-body suit listed for exactly 1,000 Gold.

It was a lowest-grade protective layer designed to absorb physical impacts and regulate temperature.

Mylo tapped the purchase option.

[1,000 Gold has been deducted.]

[Item ’Full-Body Protective Suit’ has been transferred to your Storage.]

The transaction went through instantly, and the item was safely stored away in his inventory grid.

Closing the store window, Mylo took another bite of meat. He looked over at Tritia, who was contentedly chewing on a bone, and decided to address the question that had been lingering in his mind.

"Tritia," Mylo began, his tone kind as always. "What... will our relationship be now?"

Tritia stopped chewing. She tilted her head, staring at him thoughtfully for a few seconds before lowering her hand.

"Hmm, I don’t really know," she admitted softly. "We were supposed to be warrior comrades fighting together, but now we’ve formed a Matebind."

She looked down at her lap, her voice dropping slightly.

"I know... you didn’t really want to form the bond."

Mylo paused, catching the subtle hesitation in her voice. He shook his head.

"It’s not for any reason you might be worried about," Mylo said directly. He met her gaze, deciding to lay out the truth.

"I’m actually from Earth. I was only following quests given to me, quests that only I can see."

He waited for her reaction, expecting confusion, suspicion, or a dozen questions.

Instead, Tritia simply blinked. Her expression remained normal, showing no signs of shock or concern regarding his true origin.

Mylo stared at her, surprised by her lack of care about the revelation.

"Hmm, I have heard about it before but never really met anyone. I don’t really know about the quest only you can see... hmm, you are special so it doesn’t matter.

I feel affection toward you. And I want to continue to stay by your side."

Hearing her straightforward words, a subtle warmth settled in Mylo’s chest.

He reached out, his hand gently caressing her soft cheek. Moving down, his hand rested on her waist, and with a gentle pull, he brought her closer to him.

Tritia let out a soft, contented breath, leaning naturally into his touch.

While holding her close, Mylo accessed his Storage with a swift mental command. Space rippled silently above his hand, and the sleek, dark full-body suit he had just purchased materialized directly into his grip.

Tritia’s eyes widened as she looked down at the sudden appearance of the heavy material.

"Hmm? What is this?" she asked, looking up at him in surprise.

Mylo looked down at her with a quiet smile.

"It’s a gift for you."

"I’m going to have to leave soon," Mylo said, looking down at her. "I won’t be able to come back for the next five days."

He paused, a faint flicker of guilt passing through his eyes. "I’m sorry."

Tritia tilted her head, her crimson eyes searching his face before a small, understanding smile softened her features.

"It’s alright. At least you aren’t abandoning me. I can wait as long as I have to."

Hearing her quiet acceptance, Mylo felt a soft, irresistible pull toward her. He reached out, his fingers tracing down her arm until they rested gently on her wrist.

Tritia’s face reflected in his eyes, her soft expression appeared to hypnotize him to her.

The deep, jagged scar that had once marked her skin was completely gone, leaving only smooth, unblemished warmth under his touch.

Tritia’s breath hitched slightly, her eyes softening as she leaned into his touch, resting her forehead gently against his collarbone.

His hand slid past her wrist and up to her shoulder, drawing her closer until the quiet rhythm of her breathing matched his own.

Her heat radiated through his clothes, steady and grounding, and for a fleeting second, the unspoken tenderness of the moment threatened to sweep away his focus entirely.

Tritia’s arms circled lightly around his waist, squeezing him back with an earnest affection.

Her head turned up, her eyes trapping Mylo and her lips closer than ever.
