CH 172: Change
"So, before the influence of that so-called Lord disappears, and before I receive the sign to begin our move in the near future, we will simply continue developing without openly invading anyone!"
Vaelor said this without feeling discouraged by the matter. He already had other solutions if his wait continued for too long, but he had always wanted to see the end of this game and what his role in it would be!
But as he thought about the possibilities of this game, he heard thunder roaring from the sky and felt the world shaking around him. Both Ayat and Orion fell to the ground and looked fearfully toward the scene in the sky!
Above them, the sky seemed to be splitting apart like glass. The thunder did not stop roaring for even a moment, and with every bolt of lightning that struck, the sound of thunder shook the depths of their souls!
This scene and feeling of terror did not belong to them alone. Everyone on this continent was feeling it as well!
"W... What... What is this!" Ayat spoke in a trembling voice as she felt terrified by the scene and struggled to look toward Vaelor!
Amidst this overwhelming terror, there were only three people across the entire continent who were unaffected by this terror and the feeling of impending death!
One of them was Vaelor, who was looking toward the sky with a huge smile stretching from ear to ear!
The other was a woman sitting atop a green hill, with thousands of stars slowly and peacefully orbiting around her!
The woman closed her eyes and sat quietly. When she sensed the changes in the world, she lazily opened her eyes for a few seconds, then closed them again and returned to focusing on what she had been doing, as if what was happening around her meant nothing to her!
As for the third, it was a person wearing a wide robe that completely covered their body, revealing nothing. It was unknown whether they were male or female!
This person walked through a blue forest among monsters, hundreds of Level Three monsters! But strangely, the monsters ignored them, or perhaps they could not even sense them, as if this person did not exist among them!
When that person sensed the changes occurring in the sky, they raised their head, revealing golden eyes and numerous strange tattoos on their face, though their features remained hidden. They spoke in a voice resembling that of an evil witch!
"It seems the game in this world has begun welcoming its final stages!"
The strange woman looked toward the sky, and her eyes glowed golden as she saw the world as strange and complicated golden threads...
"It seems the Primordial Fangs’ boy is in serious trouble this time, but..."
The woman narrowed her eyes for some time before shaking her head...
"Manipulation and planning! The constant and the variable! Cause and effect! All of them travel along the path of destiny, eventually reaching the points of inevitable Fate.
No matter how much you plan for the future! No matter how much you alter destiny! No matter how many causes you prepare! Inevitable Fate will remain unchanged and unshakable, bearing witness to the greatness of Creation and the Creator!
Your existence is inevitable! And your death is inevitable! Even if you change your destiny a thousand times!"
The strange woman muttered incomprehensible words for some time, then finally shook her head again and continued on her way.
"The era is nearing its end, and the Children of Destiny increase with every passing day. The sight of destiny becomes more blurred with each passing day. So, will we attain the greatest glory, or will we perish just as the ancient eras perished!"

On the walls of the City of Light, numerous guards stood looking toward the forest on the horizon with widened eyes!
They saw a great fire emerging from the green forest dozens of kilometers away! The flames rose dozens of meters into the air like the mouths of hell breathing fire, engulfing everything around them and forming a gigantic wall of fire!
They saw the mountains trembling and parts of them collapsing, as if they would be leveled to the ground within moments!
They saw flashes of lightning on the horizon and heard thunder roaring from the sky. Their eyes nearly went blind from the intensity of the lightning, and their ears nearly went deaf from the sheer power of the thunder’s roar!
"What is happening, by the Sacred Trees!" One of the Elves fell onto his backside while staring at the scene before him!
This scene was worse than the scenes of the day of war that had descended upon the City of Light. It was a hundred times worse than the explosion of hundreds of thousands of Giants against the walls of the City of Light!
Their consciousness nearly faded, their senses were in a daze, and they felt as though they were witnessing Judgment Day!
"Don’t worry! Those flames and that thunder won’t reach us! Thanks to the Ancestor’s protection, what are you afraid of!" one of the commanders shouted at the newly recruited guards. They were either children over ten years old or teenagers!
It was true that they were powerful, and any one of them could cause destruction equal to an entire city by themselves if they were allowed to wreak havoc, but they were still young and inexperienced, with much left for them to learn!
But the commander could not blame them, because he himself was terrified and wanted to run away and hide at that moment. He felt as though the sky would fall upon him at any moment from the power of the lightning and the deafening roar of the thunder, but he could not move from his place, as doing so would only make the situation worse!
"The maximum height of those flames is probably one hundred meters, while we are currently more than three hundred meters above ground. The city is surrounded by grassy plains stretching for dozens of kilometers, so what are you afraid of? Those flames won’t reach us!" the commander shouted when he saw the guards who had retreated staring fearfully at the wall of fire.
He shouted at them while sweat was pouring down his own body!
The heat from that wall of fire was reaching them! Its sight, as it surrounded them and rose and fell with every passing second, sent a cold shiver throughout his entire body.
It felt as though they were waiting for hell to come to them! But every time he looked down and saw what King Vaelor had done to protect the City of Light from future dangers, he immediately felt safe....
