Almighty Father System

Leo and the Family came back home after the meeting came to an end. They had a lot of things to handle. Leo had to help Lily with her homework and also watch the kids and at the same time, he had to guide the Pinnacle Security staff on how to handle the people mentioned on the list. He also called over to Yelena, Markus’s sister to have her contacts and the team help the people of the nations in this clean up.

Yelena had been running network that dealt specially in investigative research around the charitable organizations in the world. They also monitored the industrial exploitation. The game was simple, since they didn’t have the absolute upper hand, they had to maintain a balance. However, now that Leo and the world government had decided to make a move towards the space and they have all gathered together for a successful and prosperous future, Yelena would not have to hold back a lot.

Lily was writing with a pencil and she was practicing the cursive as she asked, "Baba, what was the meeting all about? The whole palace staff was on edge it seemed, and I saw that Uncle Aries had also gone over to meet His Majesty the king directly. Is everything alright?"

Leo nodded and replied, "Yes, it is all fine, we are thinking of developing the world by focusing on the space for resources and promoting high level skills to them all. We have already harmed our world a bit too much by relying on it’s riches for all this time, so we should look for alternatives to meet our needs and at the same time, we should steward this new dawn with greater scrutiny and responsibility or we might ending up attracting a problem that we totally cannot handle at the moment."

Lily looked at Leo and asked, "Are you sure?"

Leo was confused and asked, "What do you mean?"

Lily spoke with a great sense of sincerity and serious tone, "I don’t think that humans would stop exploiting other worlds if they found them. They didn’t spare their own world, what does it matter to them if their is another planet which has no life on it? They want more, they will take more, without ever giving back anything. They will always point at the past and the same people will lead the human race into space, how do you think they would handle this?"

Leo thought about it and found that he cannot really refute her or call her thoughts baseless, because even he knew how humans really worked. After thinking about it, he asked, "What do you think we should do?"

Lily thought for a bit before she replied, "The only thing that you can do is probably provide the younger generation with a better education and equip them with a philosophy that would help them think about sustainability. Although, I don’t think you can make a big difference when it comes to the current generation of teenagers, but probably by the time I grow up into a teenager, we might have a better chance at carrying this idea forward.

After all, the gap between generations is not always a negative thing. No?"

Leo smiled, he patted her head before he scooped her up in his arms and said, "I didn’t realize that my darling baby has grown up so much."

Lily hugged him back and the two shared a brief moment of silence before Elena said, "Baba, Elle big too."

Leo chuckled and looked over as he said, "Yes, my Elle is big too."

He scooped the youngest in his arms as well, and before Jules could pout he was also carried in an embrace by Lily who returned to burrow in the arms of her father. Snow walked in and said, "Hey, I also want a family hug."

The family shared some warmth with each other before they began to follow the routine again. However, as Leo was cooking, he could not shake off the words that Lily said to him, and as he pondered over them, he realized that this situation was indeed as dire as the young lady had said, the adults have really been thinking about nothing else but how to consume more or how to gain more power. It was as if the human genetics had negated the parameters of contention completely, they have turned into ever hungry power mongers.

After the dinner was settled, Leo put the twins to sleep after singing a few lullabies for them. Then he checked upon Lily and put her to bed as well, the little one wanted to finish the assignment from her teachers, so Leo just gave her a quick tip and the huge math trouble that she was facing turned into a child’s play. The two of them high fived before Lily fell asleep in Leo’s arms. Although she had grown up and was very much capable of handling her own things, she would still ask Leo to tuck her in every now and then.

Leo obliged in this request from her, she was his eldest child and while he could say that he loved them all equally, it was Lily who had given him a reason to hold on, and she was the one whose desire triggered the system for him. As he gently tucked her in and covered her with the blanket, he brushed away the stray strands from her forehead and pecked her brows.

The little one smiled in her sleep and mumbled, ’Love you, baba.’

Leo smiled and after closing the door, he walked out with his heart filled with warmth and gratitude. When he reached his room, he found Snow was reading a book, and the lady asked with a faint smile, "How do you do it everyday?"

Leo raised his brow and asked, "What do you mean?"

Snow asked, "The same thing, putting them to bed, taking care of them, no matter what is going on around you, you always handle it so well. Sometimes I think that I might not be as good as you if the roles were reversed. Back when we were still living on the edge, I had moments where I snapped on Lily, she would cry, and then I would feel more irritated, but you, never lose your patience with them. How do you do it Love?"

Leo smiled and he sat down next to her, before pulling her over in his embrace slightly and he said, "I saw you struggle during those days, and while you did snap, you also regretted it. I saw you worry about Lily, and me, but you never frowned when things were about you. I saw you going to work with a shoe that bit the back of your heel, but you didn’t complain. You never complained about washing me and spending a tiring day you came back home and massaged me. On weekends you would handle Lily and look after me at the same time.

So, I learned from you, you managed all of that alone. Why would I complain, I have you, Ma, Frag, and the bots to help me, why would I complain? Yes, sometimes I get embarrassed sometimes, but it is nothing to lose my temper over."

Snow sighed and leaned in his arms, before she said, "You really know how to talk and make people happy don’t you?"

Leo smiled but he didn’t say anything else, they turned in for the night, and the next whole week was spent generically. It was good, a calm pace for the family, but that was only inside the house. The world outside was on a roll, the people in the various nations came together to create a council and when they finished with the basic structure, they called Leo. The intention was clear they wanted him as the first speaker on the day of the council inauguration and the Clover Nation had nominated him and High Priest Hank to step up as the Representatives of the Clover Nation.

The young man took a deep breath as he sat beside his wife and asked, "I have no idea how they came upon this conclusion but why do I have to go and head to the council as a representative? This is so boring."

Snow smiled and said, "Who asked you to be so generous and help the people clean up the backyards."

Leo rolled his eyes at her and Lily said while she sat on the side while doing her homework, "Baba, it is important because you need to go lead the world towards a better future. Until you speak to make a change, the rest of the adults apart from our family are half driven by their own motives.

Although they are the sigil families, they will not give up power easily, and it is not about power, it is about how they handle it. This is why we need you to handle things in a concise manner."

Leo sighed, he knew what was going on here, and the next moment, the system Pinged.
