DING!

(Gacha complete. Your character has obtained a B-Class Talent: Water Controller!)

(Water Controller: A Talent that allows you to manipulate water, including converting your Mana into water. However, at B-Class, transforming Mana into water consumes Mana extremely quickly. This Talent comes with the innate B-Class Skill: Water Boom!)

[Talents:]

Super Assassin (S)

Water Controller (B)

[Skills:]

Invisible (S)

Mana Thread (A+)

Instant Death (S)

Water Boom (B)

When the Gacha finished and the reward was revealed, Enzo didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

In terms of value, a Talent could be considered one of the highest-tier rewards. After all, it permanently expanded a person’s arsenal of abilities.

The problem was...

It was only B-Class.

There was nothing particularly extraordinary about it.

Of course, Enzo couldn’t deny that it still made Violet stronger.

With the power to control water, Violet could practically change the outcome of a battle.

Next time, I’ll have to spend even more SP if I want a truly incredible reward, Enzo thought.

Violet continued moving forward.

Everything was much easier since Enzo controlled her through the overhead System screen.

After traveling for a while, Violet arrived before a village that had long since fallen into ruin, now completely overgrown with towering trees.

This is the safe route... but it looks like getting through means dealing with a troublesome monster, Enzo thought.

He could vaguely make out a monster hiding among the ruins.

Just its presence gave off an unmistakable sense of danger, though he couldn’t tell what kind of monster it was.

Enzo didn’t rush to send Violet in.

Instead, he noticed Felix Gibson returning with a plastic bag.

Apparently, he hadn’t gone all the way back to Earth just to buy cigarettes.

Enzo opened the door before Felix even knocked.

"Enzo, I wasn’t sure which cigarette brand you smoke, so I bought several different ones," the bespectacled young man said.

"That’s fine."

Enzo could smoke almost anything, as long as it wasn’t the really cheap stuff.

He checked the plastic bag and found several packs of cigarettes, along with two bottled iced milk coffees.

"Do you need anything else?" Felix asked.

"Not for now. You can head back."

"Alright. I’ll be going home then."

Felix nodded before leaving.

Enzo had considered making Felix the first player of his Gamer Talent.

In his opinion, Felix was a suitable candidate.

He knew Felix enjoyed playing games. If he became hooked enough, he’d probably be willing to spend his SP on developing his character.

The problem was...

Felix already knew Enzo’s level.

If Enzo chose him, Felix would immediately realize where the System had come from.

What Enzo wanted was someone who would never suspect he was the source.

Of course, that was only his current line of thinking.

His plans might change depending on future circumstances.

Just as he was about to continue, he noticed Bella walking toward the guard post after leaving one of the monster cells.

She shouldn’t have seen his conversation with Felix.

Which meant she had another reason for coming.

With no other choice, Enzo hurriedly guided Violet into a nearby hole.

It turned out to be surprisingly deep—a perfect hiding place.

He opened the door again to face Bella.

Although she had clearly just finished fighting intensely, there wasn’t a single bead of sweat on her.

Only her slightly heavy breathing revealed her fatigue.

Perhaps her Knight Armor had some kind of built-in sweat-absorbing function.

"What’s wrong, Bella?" Enzo asked curiously.

"Well, after fighting this much, I’ve come to understand the strengths and weaknesses of my abilities, and so have my teammates. We’ve decided to visit an Awakener Shop tonight to buy items that can cover our weaknesses so we’ll be able to use them first thing tomorrow morning."

She paused before continuing.

"Since you’re actually an Awakener too, you’ll probably need some equipment as well. I’ll buy them for you. Right now, I have fifteen million dollars that my father set aside for me to spend."

"Oh..."

Enzo couldn’t hide his interest.

At the same time, he was genuinely shocked by how much money Alex Muller had prepared for Bella.

It was an absurd amount.

Compared to Bella, Violet’s finances were practically pitiful.

"Which Awakener Shop are you going to? The one here in the Sanctuary?" Enzo asked.

"No. We’re going to the one in Z City. The shop here mainly sells equipment for much stronger Awakeners. At our level, there’s no need for anything that powerful."

She looked at him with a smile.

"So? Want to come with us? I don’t think they’ll mind if you leave for a while. I’ll personally talk to the supervisor."

"Of course. But... is it really okay for you to spend your money on me?"

Naturally, Enzo was interested.

He wanted to strengthen himself as well, even if only a little.

Perhaps he could buy a General Skill Book.

Even a D-Class one would still be useful to him.

Of course, a C-Class Skill Book would be even better.

"Why wouldn’t it be? It’s not like I’d be wasting my money. I’d just be helping you become stronger," Bella replied.

"Haha, alright then."

Enzo chuckled.

For the time being, he decided to postpone Violet’s exploration.

Perhaps it would be better to continue after midnight.

"We’re leaving now. Come with me," Bella said.

Enzo followed her, closing the door to the post behind him.

No one but him could enter it anyway, so he wasn’t concerned. There was nothing valuable inside besides a few sets of clothes.

Bella had two close friends. Although neither of them was as beautiful as she was, they were still stunning in their own right. They had become close because they shared the same hobby—a love for working out.

Layla had a sweet, youthful face. She was rather petite, giving off an agile impression, with short black hair.

Mila, on the other hand, was tall—even taller than Bella. She had wavy brown hair and a curvy figure that constantly drew the heated gazes of men.

The two women looked at Enzo with curious eyes, wondering why he was following Bella.

Bella hadn’t told them anything beforehand. She had only said that she wanted to see Enzo first.

As for Enzo, he remained completely relaxed and confident.

"Come on," Bella said. "Enzo’s coming with us."
