The two women didn’t say anything.
Bella had become their leader ever since she awakened an A-Class Talent, while both of them possessed only B-Class Talents.
Fortunately, neither of them was like George or Nicolas, who enjoyed mocking Enzo.
As they walked through the gate, they happened to run into Nicolas, who was arriving alone.
The burly young man looked slightly surprised when he saw Enzo.
However, with Bella standing beside him, he simply continued into the prison without saying a word.
If he provoked Enzo now, he’d probably end up getting beaten by a woman for the second time.
By coincidence, Paul also happened to be passing by.
"Uncle Walton," Bella called out immediately.
Since Paul was here, there was no need to speak to the supervisor.
After all, he was their superior.
Paul stopped when he heard Bella call his name.
As the owner of an A-Class Talent, Bella was qualified to speak with him, even if her father wasn’t one of Paul’s friends.
Still, his brows furrowed slightly when he noticed Enzo.
"Uncle Walton, I’d like permission to take Enzo to Z City for a little while."
"That’s fine, but where are you going? You know the Goblin corpses still need to be cleaned up. During the first few days after the newcomers arrive, there’s always a mountain of work. He can’t wear himself out and neglect his duties," Paul replied, frowning slightly.
"We’re just going shopping. Enzo will be back tonight. It won’t take more than two hours," Bella answered calmly.
"Very well."
Paul nodded, having little reason to refuse.
So far, Enzo had done his job well, and the Association certainly didn’t forbid its workers from taking a short leave.
There was no reason for him to stop Enzo.
Of course, it might have been a different story if he had asked for permission himself.
"Thank you," Bella said with a smile.
The group continued toward the portal leading to Z City.
When they arrived near the portal, which was rather crowded at the moment, Bella suddenly stopped in her tracks, her face filled with shock.
"Dad..."
Hearing that, Enzo was startled as well.
Following her gaze, he froze the moment he saw Alex Muller.
For some reason, one of Alex’s legs was now noticeably limp.
"Dad, what are you doing here? What happened to your leg?"
Bella immediately bombarded him with questions.
She looked more bewildered than ever.
As for Alex...
He froze with his mouth hanging open.
"I just met up with a friend," he replied.
"A friend? Who? Did your friend beat you up?" Bella asked again.
Alex’s expression darkened.
"What nonsense! Why would a friend beat me up? I injured my leg in an accident. It’s nothing serious. I just came to meet Paul about some business."
"Uncle Walton? When did you meet him? We were just talking to him a moment ago."
Alex Muller, "..."
"Stop asking so many questions. Why do you care where I go? I’m going home, and you should too. Hurry up and go home!" Alex snapped before hurrying toward the portal.
The truth was...
He was simply too embarrassed to continue the conversation.
"What exactly happened to him?"
Bella still looked utterly confused.
Meanwhile, Enzo pretended to be just as puzzled.
The truth was hilarious.
But if Bella ever found out, her laughter would probably be bittersweet.
The group stepped through the portal and reappeared on the outskirts of Z City.
Although they had only spent a few days inside the Sanctuary, it somehow felt much longer to Enzo.
The air of the two worlds was completely different.
Moba World was overflowing with vitality.
Yet as someone born on Earth, there was a unique familiarity to Earth’s atmosphere that he had only begun to appreciate after living in another world.
Enzo glanced at his System and quietly nodded.
His Gamer Talent still maintained its connection with Violet even though he was now back on Earth.
If he wanted to, he could remain on Earth forever.
He even began considering resigning from his janitor job.
Still, he wasn’t in a hurry.
Living in the Sanctuary made life far more interesting.
"Come on. My car’s over here," Bella said as she walked toward a white BMW that still looked brand new.
"So you already have your own car," Enzo remarked.
"My aunt bought it for me. My dad’s too stingy. He refuses to let his money be spent on anything except Awakener-related necessities," Bella replied.
She did have an aunt—her late mother’s younger sister.
Enzo also had relatives from his mother’s side, but they had never been close.
He had heard they were wealthy as well.
Considering he had been labeled a failure, there was little chance they would ever accept him.
"But you’re willing to spend that money on me," Enzo pointed out.
"That’s different," Bella replied matter-of-factly.
She climbed into the driver’s seat.
Layla and Mila naturally sat in the back, while Enzo took the front passenger seat.
The two women exchanged puzzled looks.
They had just heard Bella say she intended to spend her Awakener funds on Enzo.
What exactly did she mean?
What was she planning to buy for him?
They were heading to an Awakener Shop...
Unless Bella intended to stop by an ordinary store first.
Bella drove aggressively, even rolling down the driver’s window and letting the wind whip through her blonde hair.
To Enzo, however, the speed actually felt slow.
His perception of "fast" was no longer the same as an ordinary person’s.
If he transferred Violet’s Intelligence attribute to himself, this car would probably feel twice as slow.
As a major city, Z City remained lively no matter the hour.
It bustled with a level of activity impossible to find inside the Sanctuary.
Most of humanity wasn’t made up of Awakeners.
Even among those who had Awakened, the majority never advanced very far and eventually chose to settle permanently on Earth.
Once they reached the highway, Bella slammed the accelerator all the way down.
The speedometer climbed to 250 km/h.
Even Layla and Mila began to look nervous.
Still, perhaps because Enzo—the only ordinary human in the car—remained perfectly calm, neither of them dared complain.
Bella was simply indulging her wild side.
That was the kind of woman she had always been.
She finally slowed the car after arriving at a massive shopping mall that was still bustling late into the night.
Luxury cars filled the parking lot.
Bella drove into the parking garage.
Most Awakener Shops on Earth were located inside shopping malls, which were designed with extremely high security.
Compared to standalone stores along the roadside, they were far less likely to become targets for robbery.
As far as Enzo knew, this mall contained only a single Awakener Shop.
