Unfortunately, Violet couldn’t truly make full use of the spear’s power. It contained wind energy sealed within it.

If a wind controller wielded the spear, they could unleash the wind stored inside it to generate even greater thrust.

Even so, Violet’s own strength alone was more than enough.

BANG!

The spear shattered the wolf’s skull, crushing its brain and freezing its body on the spot.

DING!

(Your character has killed a Level 19 Monster. You and your character have gained 50,000 EXP!)

(You obtained 250 SP!)

[Level: 13]

[EXP: 375,500/500,000]

[SP: 250]

The notification appeared the moment the wolf died.

Although the reward wasn’t as generous as Enzo had hoped, he was still satisfied.

The only disappointing part was that the wolf hadn’t dropped any items.

He lit a cigarette in disappointment.

Afterward, he looked at the map on his phone again.

Beyond these ruins, as long as Violet kept moving straight ahead, she would eventually reach the marked location beside the great river.

Violet immediately continued onward.

As he controlled her, Enzo carefully observed everything around her.

He noticed a long creature slithering beneath the trees ahead.

’Probably a snake,’ he thought.

Judging by its length, it was clearly a high-level monster.

Before reaching their destination, Enzo hoped Violet could advance to Level 14.

Because of that, he had no intention of letting this monster go.

Remaining in Invisible Mode, Violet accelerated.

As she drew closer, the monster finally came into view.

But it wasn’t a snake.

It was actually a gigantic crimson centipede with countless legs.

It crawled leisurely, as though it were patrolling the area.

(Level 19 Monster!)

The notification appeared.

Seeing the enormous centipede and its countless wriggling legs made Enzo’s skin crawl.

At the same time, it made him eager to kill it.

Unlike the wolf earlier, this centipede’s instincts seemed considerably duller.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Violet’s first move was to fire numerous Mana Threads at it.

Centipedes generally weren’t physically powerful. Even with such a massive body, that likely hadn’t changed.

However, they were fast and agile, perhaps even capable of burrowing underground.

Because of that, restraining its body first would allow Violet to finish it in a single strike.

Clang!

The Mana Threads instantly tightened, producing the sound of metal clashing.

Naturally, the centipede immediately struggled the moment it felt itself bound.

Although it should have been physically weaker, it was still remarkably strong.

It managed to drag Violet toward itself, but most of its countless legs were completely immobilized.

Violet lunged forward and appeared above its neck, slashing downward with her dagger.

Rather than attacking the hard shell covering its body, she struck the seemingly fragile joint between its head and torso.

Her dagger sliced cleanly through its neck, separating the head from its body.

DING!

(Your character has killed a Level 19 Monster. You and your character have gained 70,000 EXP!)

[Level: 13]

[EXP: 450,500/500,000]

The EXP reward was even higher this time.

Unfortunately, there was no SP.

Nor did it drop any items.

"Hm...?" Enzo suddenly noticed an old cabin hidden among the trees.

Nothing about it seemed particularly unusual, but he still directed Violet toward it.

The cabin stood on slightly elevated ground, requiring a short flight of stairs to enter.

Although it was made entirely of wood, it remained perfectly intact.

The moment Violet stepped onto the porch, surprise appeared on her face.

There was a single table accompanied by three chairs, seemingly designed for relaxing.

Their golden-colored wood was adorned with exquisite carvings.

Enzo immediately realized they were the most luxurious wooden table and chairs he had ever seen.

However, what surprised him the most was the wooden plate resting on top of the table.

A small piece of roasted meat sat upon it.

Although it had gone cold, it still looked perfectly edible, as though it had only been cooked a few hours ago.

At first, Enzo wondered whether someone had recently been here.

But after taking a closer look, it was obvious that no one had visited for a very long time.

Dust blanketed the floor, table, and chairs, while old twigs had accumulated everywhere.

If someone had truly been here only hours ago, the place couldn’t possibly have become this filthy.

Violet approached the table with a curious expression.

’Ancient Food...’

That was Enzo’s first guess.

It wasn’t exactly a secret, but rather an extremely rare discovery.

Everyone knew that countless kinds of food had existed in the ancient era of this world.

Some of them had somehow survived until the present day.

They were often regarded as miraculous foods because they truly possessed extraordinary effects.

’Eat it!’

Without hesitation, Enzo controlled Violet to pick up the roasted meat and swallow it in one bite.

It was small enough to disappear down her throat instantly.

"Hm...?"

Enzo was startled again.

Something changed within Violet.

The black markings covering her body suddenly began glowing.

DING!

(Your character, Violet Muller, is digesting Primordial Monster Meat. This process will take approximately one hour. It is recommended that she remain completely still during this time.)

The notification appeared before Enzo, causing his eyes to light up.

He knew without a doubt that this would bring an extraordinary benefit.

Crack! Crack!

He stuffed a large handful of French fries into his mouth.

Since Violet had to remain motionless for an hour, there wasn’t much else for him to do besides enjoying his food.

He stretched lazily before standing up and walking toward the edge of the balcony, wanting a clearer view of the mall below.

Once again, astonishment filled his face.

A woman with short white hair stepped out of a luxurious white sports car.

She wore a simple blouse and a short skirt.

Charlotte.

The gravity user Violet had fought earlier that afternoon.

Enzo never expected to see her in Z City.

But if she really came from Z City, why had no one ever heard of her?

That didn’t seem likely.

Perhaps she had simply traveled here through the Sanctuary portal.

He watched as she calmly walked toward the mall entrance.

Despite her simple attire, it couldn’t conceal the elegant, aristocratic aura surrounding her.

At that moment, Enzo became convinced.

She truly was a noblewoman.
